Kiseki Kagami from District Four/ Ichiru Kagami from District Three/ Michael Knight from District Two/ Caitlyn Walker from District Seven

The four tributes watched in a shocked silence from their respective places as Ashley tried to attack Keiru only to be restrained by her parents. Jeremy tried to attack after being informed of what had happened upon his return from the infirmary, but he was stopped quickly as well.

Caitlyn was surprised to see Amelia there; the blonde tribute from One had suddenly appeared in front of her brother as if to protect him when Ashley had turned on him in her rage. Caitlyn herself couldn’t seem to decide what to think about the situation yet, although everyone else appeared either shocked or enraged.

"Okay everyone, go back to what you were doing." A Peacekeeper instructed after everything had calmed down. He then turned to Keiru. "Now, explain to me why the hell you would shoot an arrow at an defenseless little girl."

Keiru didn't respond for several seconds, although finally he folded his arms across his chest and gave his answer.

"This is a place for tributes training. Not some place for a defenseless little girl. You were lucky it was me, giving nothing but a warning, rather than another tribute, who would have had worse intentions."

Keiru’s gaze went to the other tributes then. Kiseki and Michael were still looking at him in shock, and Ichiru had started throwing knives at the target to keep his emotions and thoughts at bay, although he was still watching and paying attention to his fellow tribute.

"If I had intended to actually hit the girl, trust me, I would have done so." Keiru’s attention was back on the Peacekeeper now, and he gestured toward the target at the archery range, where all of his arrows were either embedded in or around the bullseye. This fact alone was all that was keeping Caitlyn from going into a rage over the event herself. "The girl shouldn't even be in here, she's a target to get at her, as well as him. I decided it'd be better if I got them out of their fantasy world before somebody decided to actually kill the girl, because I sure as hell had noticed at least one tribute here planning to do so, and before you say anything, I'm not referring to myself in third person."

Michael had gone back to his knot tying by now, although he was still listening to Keiru’s words. He didn’t know what to think about him or what had just happened. Even from a distance, he could see a side to him that didn’t match his first impression at all, but he couldn’t decide if he would fall under the category of an ally or an enemy. Regardless of that fact, it was obvious he was well rounded in his skills, which would make him a valuable ally in the arena. He glanced over at Amelia, who was still near the archery range where she had run to her brother’s side. He didn’t know much about her either, but he assumed she had some talents as well - and somehow she didn’t seem like a bad person. There were few… decent people here, so he really wanted to get to know those who were.

Michael and the twins heard Keiru finish speaking, advising Peeta to keep a better eye on Aria. Shortly after, the Peacekeeper informed him that his training was coming to an end early today, and that he was going into solitary confinement until lunch time.

As Keiru was escorted toward the exit by the Peacekeeper, Caitlyn heard one last whisper as he passed her.

“The bet is still on. Give me the results at lunch.”

She looked at him in shock for a moment, surprised that even after all of that, he would still be worried about the bet. Part of her didn’t even want to take part in it now, but there was still that conflicting thought that he had only been trying to benefit the child by getting her out of the room. It was highly likely that another tribute could have been targeting her. She had almost been attacked herself by Brandon, and Matt seemed to be targeting Ashley, so it wasn’t unlikely that one of them or even someone else had been planning to injure or even kill the girl to get to Ashley and Jeremy.

She gave a sigh, turning back toward the target as she drew back the string on the bow. Maybe if she won this bet, she could convince Keiru to tell her a thing or two…

Ichiru glanced at Keiru at the mention of his family’s money, a frown appearing on his face for only a moment before he returned his attention to the target, managing to embed a knife in the center on its chest, where the heart would be. Kiseki was beginning to believe that Ichiru had a secret talent for knife-throwing that even he didn’t know about, which might not be a good thing in this case, for if it was one of his talents, all of the tributes knew about it now. The older twin didn’t seem to care, and it was obvious that he was only distracting himself from an anger that he didn’t understand. Aria wasn’t his child, and it didn’t have anything to do with him, so why was he so upset? Not only that, he also got angry when someone tried to target Ashley as well. He had only spoken to the two of them for all but five minutes the night before, so what was with this attachment?

Yet another knife left his hand and struck the target in the head. However, the force behind his last throw sent the blade noticeably deeper into the target that it should have. Kiseki glanced at Ichiru in concern, clutching one in his own hand. The older twin ignored his brother’s questioning gaze, brushing the matter off with a grin and a chuckle, along with the excuse that it had just been a lucky hit.

Kiseki didn’t appear convinced at all, although his idea to question his brother was taken away when he noticed Michael looking at them from the knot-tying station. The striking blue eyes locked with Kiseki’s for only a moment before he looked away, but just that moment was enough to tell the dark haired teen something.

“Hey…” He looked back at Ichiru as he put the knife in his hand back with the others. “What do you think about the male tribute from District Two?”

“I heard the people from Two are the most loyal to the Capitol.” Ichiru didn’t bother hiding the bitterness in his voice as he responded. “My opinion of them isn’t very good, to say the least.” He looked over to his brother, then to the blonde who now had his back to them. “Why?”

“I don’t know, he just seems… different.”

“Different?” Ichiru eyed the younger teen for a moment, thinking back to how he had appeared in the tribute parade. Sure, he had seemed nice and happy during the interviews, but those from the Career Districts usually were arrogant enough to act that way. “Don’t fall for his nice act, if that’s what you’re referring to. He could easily be faking that.”

“Yeah, but…” Kiseki met his brother’s gaze and allowed his sentence to trail off when seeing the disapproval in Ichiru’s eyes. “He doesn’t seem like he’s acting.. And remember the Reaping tapes? He didn’t look happy or proud like the other tributes. He looked just as upset as the rest of us, even though he volunteered.” He glanced back over at Michael. “Not to mention he’s keeping to himself. Normally the Careers form a pack instantly, don’t they?”

“That’s true.” Ichiru looked at Michael for only a moment before his attention went back to the stations around the room. “Which station do you want to try next?”

Kiseki gave a soft sigh when realizing Ichiru had deliberately changed the subject, but decided not to push any further.

“I don’t know, your choice.”

OOC: Sorry if it seems rushed and cuts off suddenly ><

(awww it was fine XD)

Caroline Hawthorne from District Four/ Ashley Mellark and Jeremy Mellark from District Twelve/ Matt Wilson from District Thirteen
At The Capitol/ Training Center/ Roof

Ashley and the group listened to Keiru's words, their eyes traveling to the other tributes. Ashley had to admit that the training center was no place for a child, especially with all of the tributes training together. Keiru was also right about Aria being a target just as much as Ashley and Jeremy. Was bringing Aria and Kenny to the Capitol the smartest thing? At the time it seemed like an amazing idea since Ashley and Jeremy could spend more time with them before the Games began, but what if something horrible were to happen? Ashley then looked back up to Keiru, the brunette having been looking at the ground, seeing the other tribute looking at Peeta now.

"It would benefit you if you kept a better eye on her. You wouldn't want her near us tributes if you don't want her to get hurt." Peeta and Katniss wanted to tell Keiru off, but knew he was actually right about the situation. "As I've already said, she's a target to try and cause them two to falter. I know of a few tributes who would use her as a message to the two of them, maybe even an attempt to shatter their will to fight and survive until the right time."

Keiru paused for a moment, turning his attention to the Peacekeeper who was still there.

"Your training is coming to an end early today. You've caused too many disruptions today. You're going to solitary confinement, at least until lunch. Any more disruptions by you, and it'll be worse." The Peacekeeper said.

The group saw Keiru grin when the Peacekeeper had finished speaking, shrugging his shoulders, though he stole another glance with Peeta.

"Nothing keeps a Kozaka in for long, what with all that money. Pays for a lot of things." Peeta showed no interest towards Keiru's words on the outside as he watched the Peacekeeper take the male tribute away, but on the inside Peeta's heart skipped a beat when he realized who Keiru was; he was the son of the man who was funding the entire Rebellion, and Keiru knew about it. Peeta looked to Amelia when she gave Brandon a glare after what the other tribute said, Peeta wondering if Amelia knew of the Rebellion as well since she was Keiru's sister.

"Today has been quite the eventful day." Peeta commented as he looked back to his family, relieved that Aria and Kenny were safely back up on their floor.

"Are you going to be okay training for the rest of the day?" Katniss asked as she looked to Ashley and Jeremy, though she gave Caroline a smile as well.

"I'll be okay." Ashley gave out a sigh as she nodded her head, her eyes falling on Ichiru once again when seeing he was still at the knife throwing station with his twin brother Kiseki. "I just need some fresh air to clear my head for a few minutes." Ashley turned back towards her parents. They nodded, watching Ashley walk away and exit the training center, most of the tributes going back to what they were doing. Katniss and Peeta returned to their seats next to Stefan in the stands, some sponsors rushing in to talk to them. Matt saw this and gritted his teeth in rage, though he didn't do anything as he planned different ways to kill Ashley and Jeremy.

"What station do you want to do?" Caroline asked Jeremy as they walked away from the knife throwing station, the two walking towards the track.

"Wanna work on some running?" Jeremy asked as Caroline nodded, the two starting off at a good jogging pace side by side. Jeremy looked over to Kiseki however for a few moments, then back to Caroline. "Not that I hate training with you or anything, but why aren't you training with Kiseki?" Caroline looked over to Kiseki, then to Ichiru for a few moments before looking straight ahead on the running track.

"I just think that Kiseki should spend some time with his brother." Caroline said, leaving it at that.

Once Ashley traveled up in the elevator and made her way on the roof she walked over to the edge and gave out a sigh, looking down to the large city filled with people and cars. So much was racing through her mind right now, though a main question bothered her. How was she supposed to train for the Games when now she had to worry about Aria's and Kenny's safety as well? The only thing on her mind was keeping them safe, the brunette not focusing on the Games, which was what some of the other tributes probably wanted...

Kiseki Kagami from District Four/ Ichiru Kagami from District Three/ Michael Knight from District Two
Training Center

Ichiru didn't seem to have actually decided on another training station yet, which left the two of them in silence after Kiseki's response. The older twin's attention fell on Ashley, who just so happened to be looking at him at that very moment. Their eyes met only briefly before she turned and left the training room, although Ichiru heard her say that she was going to get some fresh air, which he knew meant she was going to the roof.

Kiseki's attention fell back on Caroline as she walked by them with Jeremy, overhearing her asking him which station he wanted to go to. Ichiru looked back over at his brother and followed his gaze over to the two on the track. He noticed Caroline look at them briefly before averting her gaze straight ahead again as she said something, which brought him to frown slightly as he turned his attention back to Kiseki. His expression only worsened when he saw that the younger twin had averted his gaze to the ground.

"Am I causing you problems?" Kiseki looked up sharply at Ichiru's hushed but dead serious question.

"No, it--"

"Because if I am, I can just go away and keep an eye on things from a distance."

"You're not." Kiseki looked back at the ground for a moment, knowing that he couldn't really discuss Caroline's fears here. Ichiru frowned, obviously not convinced.

"I don't want to put distance between you and your partner." He stated simply. "If my presence is a problem, I can stay away."

"No." Kiseki's response was faster and more panicked than he had meant for it to be, but he didn't acknowledge it. "I want to go through the Games with both of you..."

Ichiru sensed that there was something Kiseki couldn't tell him here, which brought his expression to soften. He knew Caroline had to have a reason behind avoiding her own partner, but it was obvious Kiseki didn't want to speak of it in front of the other tributes.

"Alright." Kiseki looked back up at him, and he offered a smile. "We can get some fresh air later. That may make you feel better."

Kiseki knew his brother was hinting around that he could tell him about the situation with Caroline on the roof because no one would be able to hear them. He gave a nod, returning the smile offered to him. When the training was over and they went back to their own floor, maybe he could catch Caroline and talk to her again. Somehow it just didn't seem like her fears had been eased that quickly, and it bothered him. A lot. It was actually painful to see her basically avoiding him, but he wouldn't make a big deal out of it here. He would just wait until later to talk to her when they were alone, and maybe they could get passed this.

"Speaking of fresh air..." Ichiru's voice snapped Kiseki out of his thoughts, bringing him to look back at his brother. "I think I'll go get some myself right now."

Kiseki knew already that his brother was concerned about Ashley, which he certainly wouldn't complain about, because his concern proved that he had some trust in another tribute whether he realized it or not. It was obvious he didn't understand it, and that it was bothering him, which was all the more reason to let him go.

"Okay." Kiseki gave his twin a smile as he responded, noticing the look in Ichiru's eyes. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. You go on ahead."

Ichiru seemed hesitant for a few moments, but finally he gave a nod, glancing over at Michael, who was finishing up at the knot-tying station.

"Why don't you try to make some new friends while I'm gone and increase our little party?" He smirked at Kiseki, who smiled at his approval of trying to recruit Michael. He gave a nod in response, and Ichiru turned away to head for the exit of the training center.

Kiseki glanced back over to Michael, debating with himself over approaching the younger teen. It was true that he seemed different, but he was from District Two… They were the most loyal to the Capitol out of all of the Districts.

After what felt like several moments even though it was mere seconds, the dark haired teen finally walked over to the blonde haired teen. Michael seemed to sense someone behind him and turned around just as Kiseki arrived at his side, the two of them looking at each other in surprise for a moment before Kiseki offered a smile.

“Hey. My name’s Kiseki.” Michael appeared obviously surprised at his friendly approach, but after a few moments, he returned the smile with one of his own - the first genuine smile he had given anyone since coming here.

“Michael.”

“Where is your partner?” Kiseki questioned as he glanced around the room for the female tribute from Two.

“She’s here somewhere… Probably enjoying herself with something more exciting than fiddling with a bunch of rope.” Kiseki laughed at Michael’s words, watching the blonde put down his final knot, speaking without looking back up at first. “What about yours?”

“She’s on the track.” Kiseki responded as his gaze went back over to Caroline and Jeremy, although he averted it to the ground shortly after, which Michael noticed instantly as he turned back toward the dark haired teen. “She… She wanted to spend some time with some old friends, so I’m staying out of the way.”

Michael furrowed his brow, easily seeing through Kiseki’s smile and excuse, but it wasn’t his place to question it. Instead he turned his attention to the absence of the other boy with dark hair that he had seen with Kiseki only moments before.

“Wasn’t there two of you before?” Kiseki chuckled at his humorous way of asking where Ichiru was.

“He’s on the roof getting some air.” He paused, looking at the ground for a minute as he tried to think of something else to say or ask. He wanted to get an idea of who Michael was before he decided to form an alliance with him or not.

“Hey, I know this is sudden, but do you want to train with me?” Michael asked, bringing Kiseki to look up at him with something akin to shock. However, despite his suspicions, he gave a smile and a nod in response.

“Sure, you can pick the station.” Michael’s expression seemed to brighten at his response, and he started to lead Kiseki to a different station. He seemed nice enough, but it was too soon to tell, and even if he was, Kiseki knew he would have to talk to Caroline about him as well since she was his partner. He knew she would probably be wary of him simply from the fact that he was from Two, just like Ichiru and himself were, but somehow he felt that they wouldn’t have to worry about that for long.

Ichiru Kagami from District Three
Roof

After a quick ride on the elevator, Ichiru stepped out on the roof, where he saw Ashley standing over near the edge. He paused for a moment, partially distracted by the warmth of the sun and the light breeze blowing. He hadn’t realized how suffocating it was back inside until this very moment. If he had a choice, he would have just stayed out here for his whole time at the Capitol.

He snapped himself out of his thoughts after a few moments, crossing the roof to stand near the edge beside the brunette.

“Hey, rich girl.” He greeted her with a smirk, although it was clear from his tone that he hadn’t meant any offense. He leaned on the edge of the roof, careful not to come into contact with the force field on the other side as he looked down at the streets far below them. As always, they were alive with people and cars. “I know it’s probably not my place to ask, but are the two of you doing alright after all of that?” He asked, referring to Aria as well. He knew the event had to have shaken her up pretty badly.

OOC: I'll do Caitlyn's part in my next post. ^^'

Caroline Hawthorne from District Four/ Ashley Mellark and Jeremy Mellark from District Twelve/ Matt Wilson from District Thirteen
At The Capitol/ Training Center/ Roof

Caroline and Jeremy ran a decent amount of laps on the track together until the two finally came to a stop to catch their breath, a large screen next to the track saying that the two had ran almost seven miles without stopping. Matt was a bit surprised at the score as Caroline and Jeremy smiled at each other, the two walking to an area where unlimited iced cold water bottles were for the tributes. The two each grabbed a bottle and sat side by side on a bench, the two teens taking a break for now.

"Isn't that your partner?" Jeremy asked as he looked towards Kiseki with the male tribute from District Two, bringing Caroline to follow his gaze.

"Maybe he's trying to see what tributes would make good allies." Caroline responded as she looked back over to Jeremy, though the blonde took note that Ichiru was no longer in the training center for some reason.

"So tell me the truth. Why aren't you training with Kiseki?" Jeremy pushed on as he kept his voice low, looking at Caroline.

"I told you. I just wanted to give Kiseki and Ichiru time with each other." Caroline responded.

"Caroline, you sucked at lying when we were little kids. Your lying skills haven't gotten any better with age."

"It's not something that should be discussed here..." Caroline looked down, Jeremy's face softening as he looked at the curly haired blonde.

"We'll talk about it later then." Jeremy said, bringing Caroline to nod as she look a large sip of water.

"What station do you want to do next?" Caroline asked. Jeremy looked around, his eyes falling on the fire-making station.

"Do you know how to make a decent fire?" Jeremy asked.

"Not really... I've been around water my entire life." Caroline said with a small chuckle.

"Then we'll build small fires in a little while." Caroline nodded at Jeremy's words as the two tributes continued to rest.

As Ashley was staring at the city she heard footsteps begin to approach her. The thought of it being Matt instantly crossed her mind as she quickly turned her head, but relaxed when it was only Ichiru. She turned back around and gave out a sigh of relief, noticing from the corner of her eye Ichiru standing beside her.

“Hey, rich girl.” Ichiru said with a smirk, though Ashley knew he didn't mean any offense by it simply from the tone of his voice as she gave a small smile. “I know it’s probably not my place to ask, but are the two of you doing alright after all of that?” Ashley looked over to Ichiru, giving out a sigh.

"Yeah, we'll be fine." Ashley nodded. "I was actually going to check on her before going back to the training center." Ashley looked back towards the city, the brunette lost in thought for a few moments.

"Once we actually see the other tributes ourselves during the training sessions then we'll decide. We need to watch how they act around the two of you and see if any of them could be trust-worthy of an Alliance." Peeta's words from when the group was on the Tribute Train came to Ashley's mind as she looked back up to Ichiru, the brunette still unclear if she could trust him. Even though she hasn't spoken to him that much there was something about him that she couldn't shake, something telling her that she could truly trust Ichiru.

"I think bringing Aria and Kenny here was a mistake." Ashley began, looking back towards the city. "The idea of them coming here was amazing at the time, but now when I finally realized that they could be in danger, I can see how terrible the idea is now. I know back home they would had ended up in a foster home until at least my parents made it back, but I can't stand the idea of Aria and Kenny being placed in that foster home. It's just horrible..." Ashley paused for a few moments as she gathered her thoughts. "I just wish there was a way I could protect them. It's not fair that they have to be locked away on the floor all day, like they're trapped or something. I just... I want them to be safe." Ashley looked back up to Ichiru, surprising even herself how much she had just opened up to him.

Kiseki Kagami from District Four/ Michael Knight from District Two/ Caitlyn Walker from District Seven
Training Center

Michael had led Kiseki over to the camouflage center, since both of them seemed to have taken an interest in it. The two had fallen into silence upon arrival as they listened to the instructions given and then busied themselves with painting their skin to match different backgrounds.

Michael had a bit of difficulty at first, since he had never done anything like this before, but Kiseki seemed to have talent for it, although it was obvious the dark haired teen was distracted.

“Has anyone in your family been in the Games before?” Michael questioned just to try and strike up some sort of conversation.

“No, but one of my close friends was chosen a few years ago.” Kiseki responded softly, glancing up at Michael, who had finally begun to properly paint his skin to match the grey, rock-like background he had chosen to do. “She barely made it past the Cornucopia, and was killed shortly after.”

“I’m sorry…” Silence fell over the two again for a few moments before Michael spoke again. “I lost my sister to the Games two years ago. I tried to volunteer so I could go with her, but someone else beat me to it. She made it about halfway through before she was killed…” Kiseki’s brush fell still at Michael’s words, and he looked over at the blonde, who hadn’t taken his gaze off of his work. “I decided that if my time came, I would win the Games for her. But now that I’m actually here…”

Kiseki realized that Michael didn’t know about the rebellion, and once again it pained him to not be able to speak of it. He had also come to the realization that Michael was just a regular teenager like the rest of them, thrown into this cruel game of the Capitol’s and left frightened and alone like everyone else. He wasn’t like the other Careers, and Kiseki knew that he couldn’t leave him to fight alone.

“You’ll make it.” Michael looked over at him with a mixture of shock and question as Kiseki spoke again. The dark haired teen offered him a smile. “You’re stronger than you think, and now you won’t have to fight alone.”

Michael looked at him blankly for a few moments before it registered that Kiseki had basically just told him that he wanted to fight alongside him. A smile finally came back to his face, but all he could muster was a simple “Thank you.”. However, that seemed enough for Kiseki, and lifted the spirits of both boys as they returned to their work.

A few moments later both of them had about finished with their camouflage, and Michael looked up to see that Kiseki’s attention had fallen back on Caroline.

“Do the two of you have a relationship?” Kiseki looked back at him quickly, the question in his eyes bringing Michael to elaborate. “You and your partner. Are the two of you dating?”

“N-No, we’re not.” Kiseki’s face flushed at the question, and Michael followed his gaze back over to Caroline.

“Then you like her?” The red in Kiseki’s cheeks worsened at the next question, and he looked back at Michael, the expression on his face making the blonde haired male laugh.

“I… I don’t…” Kiseki trailed off when finding it hard to deny. Did he like Caroline? Even after such a short amount of time with her? Didn’t he tell Rose that he liked her? No, he hadn’t… he had avoided directly saying it… But why had he done that?

Michael chuckled when seeing how obviously confused Kiseki was making himself with his own thoughts, rising from his place and turning back to the dark haired teen.

“You shouldn’t be so timid and talk to her more. She is your partner.”

“Wait…”

“Besides, I have to get her permission to form an alliance with the two of you anyway, don’t I? It‘s obvious you don‘t want to go through the Games without her.” He smiled at Kiseki as he pulled him to his feet. “Come on!”

Kiseki gave a small yelp of surprise when Michael suddenly pulled him in the direction of the track where Caroline and Jeremy were currently resting - much like he had done to Ichiru several times before. He had to admit that Michael was a lot different than what he had expected. Before he had spoken to him, he had somehow given off a distant and intimidating vibe, but now that he had talked to him it was obvious that he was anything but.

“Hey.” Michael greeted Jeremy and Caroline with a bright smile after he had dragged Kiseki across the room to them, the dark haired teen standing beside him with his cheeks still flushed from before. “You’re Kiseki’s partner, right?” His gaze shifted to Caroline as he spoke, crouching down so that he wasn’t standing over them. “I’m sorry for suddenly coming over like this, but I really wanted to meet the two of you.” Now Kiseki was positive that this wasn’t the same person he had pictured Michael to be at all. He almost reflected himself, without the timidity. He gave Caroline a sheepish smile, having truly not expected Michael to approach them so suddenly, but he had to admit that he was also really glad that he was so friendly.

Caitlyn gave a soft sigh as she pulled the string of her bow back once more, focusing on the target before letting it fly. Miss. She had already done three out of her five shots, with two misses and one hit. She would have to get the last two in order to win the bet. However, before she loaded the bow with another arrow, her attention went to Amelia. It hadn’t registered until now that Keiru’s sister was standing right beside her, and that this was a perfect opportunity to find out more about them - if she was willing to talk, that is.

“I’ll bet he causes a lot of worry, huh?” She joked as she looked at the blonde with a smile. “He seems like a nice person, though.” She drew back the string of the bow with another arrow, letting it fly to embed beside her previous hit within the bullseye. She wasn’t sure how to start a conversation, which frustrated her, but she didn’t let it show as she picked up another arrow.

Ichiru Kagami from District Three
Roof

"Yeah, we'll be fine." Ashley responded with a nod. "I was actually going to check on her before going back to the training center." She looked back toward the city, and silence fell over the two of them for a few moments. Ichiru had just averted his own gaze to the city below when the brunette spoke again. "I think bringing Aria and Kenny here was a mistake. The idea of them coming here was amazing at the time, but now when I finally realized that they could be in danger, I can see how terrible the idea is now. I know back home they would had ended up in a foster home until at least my parents made it back, but I can't stand the idea of Aria and Kenny being placed in that foster home. It's just horrible..." Ashley paused for a few moments, and Ichiru looked away from the city and back to her. "I just wish there was a way I could protect them. It's not fair that they have to be locked away on the floor all day, like they're trapped or something. I just... I want them to be safe."

Ichiru had to admit he was shocked at how much Ashley had just opened up to him. He tried to hide it from his expression, but he knew some of the surprise had to be showing.

“I’m sure you’ll find a way.” He finally spoke, although he had to pause as he thought about what he was about to say. Finally, he looked back over at Ashley, a smile returning to his face. “I’ll help you, if you‘ll allow it. For some reason, I can’t leave the two of you alone.” He shocked himself with his own words, and was slightly irritated that this girl made him open up so much. He knew this had to be a good sign, but deep down he was still worried about getting too close before the Games started. However, currently it didn’t seem like he was going to be able to stop it…

Amelia Kozaka,District One
Capitol-Training Centre

Amelia was brought out of her thoughts by a soft sight from her flank, and she glanced to see Caitlyn, the girl Keiru had been talking to and had also saved twice, standing there at the range with her. She turned her attention back to her target as she loaded an arrow, and aimed, and jumped in shock when the girl spoke to her, breaking the relative silence in their area, and causing her to accidentally release her arrow, the arrow landing with a thud on the very edge of the target, before dropping to the floor with a rattle, and Amelia turned her head to look at Caitlyn, her eyes narrowing for a moment in annoyance at having her shot messed up, but her expression rapidly softened.

“I’ll bet he causes a lot of worry, huh?” Caitlyn asked, and it took Amelia a moment to realise that she was on about Keiru. “He seems like a nice person, though.”

Amelia remained silent for several moments as she pulled another arrow out of her quiver, loading it and firing it, the arrow landing on the exact same spot as her other arrows in the bulls-eye, splitting the arrow that was unharmed in the bulls-eye in two. She turned her head back to look at Caitlyn as she made to respond.

"His methods are obtuse, but he does mean the best." Amelia finally answered, as she looked back to the target and fired another arrow, this one thudding in the dead center of the bulls-eye once more, splitting the unharmed arrow in two, and the two halves fell to the floor, now useless. "Honestly, he looks out for those he cares deeply for."

Amelia then remembered who she was speaking to, and her gaze shot to Caitlyn, as she fumbled with what to do after just 'outing' Keiru. "Umm... you do archery often?"

Amelia mentally face-palmed, her cheeks a bright red as she fired another arrow into the bulls-eye, and waited until the redness in her cheeks had died down before she looked back at Caitlyn.

Keiru Kozaka,District One
Capitol-Solitary Confinement

Keiru tapped his leg with his fingers in a rapid rhythm, repeating it over and over again. He closed his eyes, allowing his vision to fall into darkness, and he welcomed it completely.

"The drum beat... the drums are coming closer... and closer." Keiru muttered to himself, continuing the rhythm. "The never-ending drum beat, whenever I close my eyes. It won't stop."

Keiru stopped tapping, and he laughed to himself. "It's like a countdown. Coming closer and closer to its end."

Keiru shook his head, smirking as he remembered what he had been trying to remember for a while. He returned to the drumbeat he had been tapping, and chuckled. "Tick tock goes the clock
And what now shall we play?
Tick tock goes the clock
Now summer's gone away?
Tick tock goes the clock
And what then shall we see?
Tick tock until the day
That thou shalt marry me
Tick tock goes the clock
And all the years they fly
Tick tock and all too soon..."

Keiru paused for a moment, before continuing. "You and I must die, for he shall knock four times."

Keiru opened his eyes and breathed out a sigh, wiping his forehead to remove the sweat that had formed. His breathing had increased and he was struggling to bring down his breathing to normal. He broke into a coughing fit for a few seconds, before the coughing died down, and he gazed up at the ceiling, trying to gather his thoughts from the jumbled mess they were currently in. Keiru grit his teeth as a banging sensation of pain shot through him as he suffered a headache, a hand clutching his head as he groaned.

"I just had the strangest dream about a drumbeat..." Keiru muttered to himself, shaking his head in confusion.

OOC:
Ugh... feel this could have been better. Might edit.

Caroline Hawthorne from District Four/ Ashley Mellark and Jeremy Mellark from District Twelve/ Matt Wilson from District Thirteen
At The Capitol/ Training Center/ Roof

“Hey.” Caroline and Jeremy looked up at the new voice, seeing that it was the tribute that Kiseki was talking to before. Caroline's eyes shifted to Kiseki, who's face was reddened for some reason. “You’re Kiseki’s partner, right?” Caroline nodded as she looked back over to Michael, who was crouching down at hers and Jeremy's level. “I’m sorry for suddenly coming over like this, but I really wanted to meet the two of you.”

"It's okay." Caroline said with a chuckle. "My name is Caroline and this is my friend Jeremy." For some reason Caroline and Jeremy felt they could trust Michael somehow...

"Hey." Jeremy spoke. Caroline noticed that Ichiru was still missing, bringing her to look around the room. It was probably still clear that her worries never left the blonde haired girl, and even though she did her best to hide it, Caroline knew that it must had showed on her face. Even with the knowledge of the upcoming rebellion it still didn't take away Caroline's fears. Even if Caroline, Kiseki and Ichiru were still in the Games with other tributes, other things determining life and death could still occur. For example; if Caroline and Ichiru were dangling over an edge and Kiseki only had time to save one of them, Caroline knew that it would be Ichiru who got saved, simply because Ichiru was Kiseki's brother. Caroline still didn't have any resentment from the situation however since the outcome just made complete sense, only fear consuming her.

"You okay? You're staring off into space." Jeremy said as he gave Caroline a light nudge. Caroline quickly snapped out of her thoughts as she looked at him, putting on the best smile that she could as she nodded.

"I'm fine." Caroline said, turning to Kiseki with a bit of concern. "Are you okay? Your cheeks are all red from training. Do you want some of my water? I don't want you to be dehydrated." Caroline said, the curly haired blonde oblivious that Kiseki's cheeks were actually reddened from Michael asking Kiseki if he liked her.

“I’m sure you’ll find a way.” Ichiru responded after a few moments, Ashley seeing some of the surprised expression on his face. He paused and looked away for a few moments, looking like he was lost in thought, and then looked back up at Ashley with a smile on his face. “I’ll help you, if you‘ll allow it. For some reason, I can’t leave the two of you alone.” Ashley was shocked herself now from Ichiru's words, it clearly showing on her face as she looked to the ground for a few moments.

Ashley thought back from the last few hours, remembering almost every tribute that gave her and Jeremy hateful looks. From what Ashley could remember, Ichiru had shown no hatred for her or her family at all. In fact, Ashley recalled seeing the opposite from Ichiru, and even Kiseki. The feelings about Ichiru last night on the roof returned to her as well, remembering how she felt like she could trust Ichiru. She couldn't explain it, but Ashley knew that no matter what, she couldn't let Ichiru slip from her fingers.

"You'll really help?" Ashley looked back up, locking her eyes with Ichiru. The door to the roof opened then as Ashley turned her head, Kenny stepping onto the roof first in a protective stance as he scanned his surroundings, spotting Ashley and Ichiru a few feet away.

"What are you doing up here? Shouldn't you be in training?" Kenny asked his sister.

"Where's Aria?" Ashley asked in a panicked voice as her heart skipped a beat.

"I'm right here." Aria stepped to the side where she had been standing behind Kenny, the toddler running to Ashley as she sighed in relief.

"I'd figured she could use some air after what happened, but I made sure to be really careful and if I saw any tributes up here then I was going to quickly take her back to our floor." Kenny explained, Ashley nodding as she picked up her daughter.

"That's fine." Ashley said with a smile, looking over to Aria. "Are you okay from before?"

"Yeah, I'm okay." Aria nodded, the toddler looking to Ichiru. "I remember you from last night." Ashley chuckled.

"He offered to help out." Ashley said as Aria turned back to her, Ashley looking at Ichiru. "If you really want to help, then I'll let you. I trust you." Ashley said with a smile.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Kenny asked as Ashley and Aria turned to him. "We should run it by mom and dad first."

"It's fine." Ashley insisted. "He's Kiseki's brother, who is partners with Caroline. We can trust him; both Kiseki and Ichiru." Kenny gave a nod, looking over to Ichiru with a small smile.

"Thanks." Kenny said.

"Yeah, thank you." Aria said, turning back to Ichiru. "I already knew from last night that you wouldn't hurt mommy or me. You're too nice to do that." Ashley gave a chuckle, giving Ichiru a smile.

(sorry i haven't really done Matt's part. once we go into the arena really soon i'll be sure to use him and his partner more ^^')

Kiseki Kagami from District Four/ Michael Knight from District Two/ Caitlyn Walker from District Seven
Training Center

"It's okay." Caroline responded to Michael with a chuckle, and the blonde’s expression brightened at the friendly response. "My name is Caroline and this is my friend Jeremy." For some reason Caroline and Jeremy felt they could trust Michael somehow...

"Hey." Jeremy spoke, and Michael greeted him with a smile. Kiseki did as well, since he hadn’t met Jeremy until now, but he couldn’t help noticing how Caroline was looking around the room. He knew who she was looking for, and although she tried to hide it, he could easily see that her fears were still there. The smile faded from his face as Jeremy nudged the blonde and asked her if she was okay, and for a moment his own gaze fell to the ground. However, he quickly recovered to not draw any attention to himself, giving Michael a smile when he looked at him in question. He had noticed Caroline’s actions as well, his cyan colored eyes narrowing slightly as he caught on to the underlying problem between the two.

"I'm fine." Caroline responded with a smile, then turning to Kiseki with a bit of concern. "Are you okay? Your cheeks are all red from training. Do you want some of my water? I don't want you to be dehydrated."

Kiseki was taken aback at first, having completely forgotten about the blush that still lingered on his face from Michael’s question a few moments ago. It worsened at Caroline’s, and it was all Michael could do to keep from laughing as the older teen tried to regain his composure before speaking.

“N-No, it’s okay…” He gave her a smile as the blush died down again.

“You do look overheated, though.” Michael’s eyes teased him unmercifully when Kiseki shot him a look.

“I’m fine, really.” He looked back to Caroline as the smile returned to his face. “Thank you, though.”

Amelia remained silent for several moments, pulling an arrow from her quiver and firing it into the bulls-eye with her other arrows. Just like Keiru’s had done before, the arrow split one of those already in the center in two. Caitlyn was starting to think that she wasn’t going to receive an answer when the blonde finally looked over to her and spoke.

"His methods are obtuse, but he does mean the best." She looked back at the target and fired another arrow, this one splitting an unharmed arrow in two. This time, the two halves fell to the floor. "Honestly, he looks out for those he cares deeply for."

Amelia’s gaze shot to Caitlyn after she had spoken, and the brunette looked at her in brief confusion as she seemed to fumble over what to say or do next. It wasn’t until a few moments later that she realized what exactly Amelia had just unintentionally implied. Her face heated up slightly, but she fought it back as the blonde looked back over to her, posing a change of subject.

"Umm... you do archery often?"

Caitlyn decided to take the subject change, since the realization of what Amelia had just said had caught her off guard and flustered her, giving the other girl a smile as she responded.

“I used to practice back home with a bow and some arrows that my father made.” She responded as she loaded her bow with another arrow - the fifth arrow of her bet with Keiru. “What about you? Both Keiru and yourself seem to have a lot of skill in archery.” She turned her attention back to the target as she drew back the arrow and fired, surprised to see it thud into the target just inside the bulls-eye. However, she couldn’t help but smile a bit at the sight. She had gotten three out of five arrows, which meant that she had just won the bet.

Ichiru Kagami from District Three
Roof

"You'll really help?" After a pause, Ashley finally responded to Ichiru as she looked up to lock eyes with him. The dark haired teen opened his mouth to respond, but stopped when the door to the roof opened, bringing both of them to look over to see Ashley’s younger brother stepping onto the roof in a protective stance. He scanned his surroundings, most likely for any other tributes, before noticing the two of them a few feet away.

"What are you doing up here? Shouldn't you be in training?" He asked his sister.

"Where's Aria?" Ashley responded to the question with one of her own as panic became clear in her voice.

"I'm right here." Aria stepped out from behind Kenny, running over to Ashley, who sighed in relief. Ichiru leaned back against the railing as Kenny explained what he was doing up on the roof with the toddler, almost getting lost in his own thoughts before Aria spoke to him.

"I remember you from last night." Ashley chuckled at her daughter as Ichiru gave her a smile.

"He offered to help out." Ashley said, bringing Ichiru’s and Aria’s attention back to her. She then looked to Ichiru, a smile coming back to her face as she spoke again. "If you really want to help, then I'll let you. I trust you."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Kenny asked. "We should run it by mom and dad first."

"It's fine." Ashley insisted. "He's Kiseki's brother, who is partners with Caroline. We can trust him; both Kiseki and Ichiru." The younger boy gave a nod, looking over to Ichiru with a small smile.

"Thanks."

"Yeah, thank you." Aria said. “I already knew from last night that you wouldn't hurt mommy or me. You're too nice to do that."

Ichiru gave a soft chuckle almost simultaneously with Ashley’s, returning the smiles given. He wasn’t sure he could agree to being nice, since he had done some harsh things in his life even if it had only been to protect people he cared about, but he couldn’t say that to a child. Instead, he gave her a playful smirk.

“You knew, huh? You must have some pretty great intuition already, then. I bet you’ll grow up to be smarter than all of us.” He paused then as the smirk faded back into a smile. “Now that I have your trust, I’ll do everything in my power to protect you.” His gaze shifted to Ashley then, his eyes locking with hers to emphasize that he wasn’t only referring to Aria. “All of you.”

Matt and his partner, Coral, were now at the track jogging side by side, the two lost in thought. Coral looked over to Matt when seeing he was concentrating so hard on a thought, bringing the red haired girl to chuckle.

"Pretty soon smoke is going to start coming out from your ears." Coral commented.

"I'm thinking." Matt responded.

"More like planning." Coral said. "Since Ashley and Jeremy are our main targets now, what is our next plan?"

"Not sure yet." Matt admitted, looking around the training room at the other tributes as he continued to jog with Coral.

"Maybe we can partner up with another tribute, who will earn their trust and then when the time is right the tribute leads them to us in the arena where we'll kill them. Or, that tribute could learn information about Ashley and Jeremy, and then report back to us." Coral suggested, looking at the other tributes as well. Matt turned to her with a smirk on his face, his eyebrow raised in surprise.

"I think that's an excellent idea." Matt turned back to the other tributes, noticing that Kiseki and another tribute were talking to Caroline and Jeremy. "If we play our cards right, we could get the Kagami twins to help out."

"That might not work." Coral said. "Caroline is really good friends with Jeremy and Ashley, who happens to be Kiseki's partner." Matt thought this over, coming up with another idea.

"Then we'll recruit Ichiru." Matt said as he looked back over to Coral. "We'll blackmail him and say that if he doesn't help us then we'll kill Kiseki in the arena, so then if he helps us then we'll guarantee Kiseki's safety, at least until all of the other tributes are dead when we have no choice but to go after each other."

"Good thinking." Coral nodded. "We can actually do the same with Kiseki, except just switch roles and guarantee Ichiru's safety if he helps us, and if he doesn't then we'll say that we'll kill Ichiru."

"Okay, then I'm going to go find Ichiru since he isn't here. You stay here and try to talk to Kiseki when he's alone." Coral nodded at Matt's words, watching as her partner made his way to the exit. Coral continued to run on the track, though she looked up every once in awhile at Kiseki.

“N-No, it’s okay…” Kiseki responded to Caroline, though she noticed the blush burn even more before he spoke, but saw that it had begun to die away.

“You do look overheated, though.” Michael said, Kiseki shooting him a look as Jeremy chuckled.

“I’m fine, really.” Kiseki said as he looked back to Caroline, the smile returning to his face. “Thank you, though.”

"You're welcome." Caroline responded with a small laugh, her eyes traveling to Matt as he left the training center. Caroline didn't know about the major tension between Matt and Ashley since her and Jeremy weren't in the room when Matt pinned the brunette against the wall, though Jeremy knew Matt was a problem from the glares he would catch Matt shooting at the two.

"Wonder where he's going." Jeremy said in a weary voice, bringing Caroline to look over to him in question.

"Who? The male from thirteen?" Caroline asked.

"Yeah. Ever since we've been here he always give Ashley and I dirty looks." Jeremy responded.

"Why? Have you done something to make him upset?"

"No." Jeremy shook his head. "I think it's because of who our parents are, which is what they warned my sister and I about on the Tribute Train. He's a threat to my sister and I, though mainly Ashley because his glares are mainly targeted towards her. I don't know why, but he chose her as his main target." Caroline looked down, a flicker of anger showing in her eyes at the thought of someone trying to hurt Ashley or Jeremy.

"I won't let him hurt you guys." Caroline said with determination clearly heard in her tone, looking back up to Jeremy. "We'll stay together in the arena for as long as we can." Caroline looked back up to Kiseki, her face softening as she gave a small smile. "That's if it's okay with you though."

“You knew, huh? You must have some pretty great intuition already, then. I bet you’ll grow up to be smarter than all of us.” Ichiru responded to Aria with a playful smirk, though it turned back into a normal smile. “Now that I have your trust, I’ll do everything in my power to protect you.” His gaze then shifted to Ashley, his eyes locking with hers. “All of you.”

"Looks like we'll be partners in the arena then." Ashley smiled, keeping her eyes locked with Ichiru's. Kenny stared at the two in confusion for a few moments, taking in how the two were looking at each other. If Kenny didn't know any better, he would had thought that Ashley and Ichiru were a couple...

The door to the roof opened again as Ashley tore her gaze away from Ichiru and turned her head, the smile instantly dropping from her face when she saw it was Matt. Kenny and Aria looked over to the other tribute as well as he gave Ashley a smirk, walking further onto the roof as Ashley held Aria closer to her.

"Well well well, fancy meeting you up here." Matt commented.

"I was just leaving." Ashley lied, looking over to Ichiru with an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. I'm gonna go walk Aria and Kenny back to the room and then go back to the training center. I'll see you in training if you go back there, and if not then at lunch." Ashley then turned away and walked towards the exit of the roof with Aria still in her arms, making sure Kenny was following. Ashley avoided making eye contact with Matt, though she knew he must had been staring at her until she, Aria and Kenny left.

"I really enjoy her uneasiness towards me. It's going to be quite fun killing her in the arena." Matt chuckled as he looked over to Ichiru, walking towards the tribute. "I've taken a notice that Ashley seems to trust you in a short amount of time, which is very foolish since you'll just stab her in the back anyways in the arena, and don't deny it. You know if it came down between you, her and your brother then you would kill Ashley in an instant." Matt paused for a moment, letting that very real situation sink in for Ichiru.

"I have a deal I want to strike with you." Matt continued. "Since Ashley has put her trust in you, I want you to be on my side and help me take her down. I want you to find out information for me about her, and then in the arena I want you to stay by her side as an ally and protect her from other tributes. Then, I want you to lead her to me where I'll be the one to kill her. If you do this, then I promise that my partner and I won't be the ones to kill Kiseki. Even if my partner and I had a shot at taking Kiseki down, we won't do it, and we'll even go as far as save him if he's about to get killed by another tribute." Matt paused again for a few moments.

"If you don't take my offer however then I'll make sure Kiseki dies by either mine or my partner's hands, and it won't be quick either. His death will be long and suffering if you don't accept my offer to you." Matt paused, extending his hand to Ichiru. "Now, do we have a deal?"

"You're welcome." Caroline responded to Kiseki with a small laugh, which made Kiseki’s smile widen briefly before it died down again when he followed her gaze over to Matt, who was leaving the training center.

"Wonder where he's going." Jeremy said in a weary voice as Michael followed their gazes to the other tribute as well.

I don't know why, but he chose her as his main target."

Kiseki thought back to when he and Ichiru had seen Matt pin Ashley to the wall, and how the older twin had seemed to want to attack him. Ichiru had always been the type to defend someone who needed it, but he never gotten so angry and violent unless it was someone he cared about.

"I won't let him hurt you guys." Caroline’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts as she responded to Jeremy. "We'll stay together in the arena for as long as we can." She looked at Kiseki then, her expression softening into a small smile. "That's if it's okay with you though."

“Of course it is.” Kiseki responded with a smile of his own. He glanced over at Michael, who had fallen silent again after seeing Matt leave the arena. He seemed to be thinking of something, but just when he was about to ask him if everything was okay, he looked back up to Caroline and Jeremy.

“I want to help, if it’s okay with the two of you.” He said with a smile, although he was fully prepared to be turned down if it came to that. He already knew from Kiseki’s words when they were talking before that he had no problem with it, but he still needed to ask Caroline and Jeremy. It would have probably been wise to include Ichiru and Ashley in the decision, but somehow he already knew that whatever decision the others made, they would go along with. Ichiru didn’t seem to mind, since he had left and allowed Kiseki to talk to the blonde - which was shocking after the wary looks he had seen the older teen give him.

Ichiru Kagami from District Three
Roof

"Looks like we'll be partners in the arena then." Ashley smiled, as she responded to Ichiru, keeping her eyes locked with his own. It seemed to last so much longer than it did before the door to the roof opened again and Ichiru was forced to tear his gaze away to look over at the newcomer, who was none other than Matt. The smile instantly dropped into a scowl as the other tribute gave Ashley a smirk and walked further onto the roof.

"Well well well, fancy meeting you up here."

"I was just leaving." Ashley said, giving Ichiru an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. I'm gonna go walk Aria and Kenny back to the room and then go back to the training center. I'll see you in training if you go back there, and if not then at lunch." Ichiru gave a small nod in response, watching the brunette turn and walk away with Aria and Kenny.

"I really enjoy her uneasiness towards me. It's going to be quite fun killing her in the arena." Matt chuckled after they had left, shifting his attention to Ichiru as he walked over to him. "I've taken a notice that Ashley seems to trust you in a short amount of time, which is very foolish since you'll just stab her in the back anyways in the arena, and don't deny it. You know if it came down between you, her and your brother then you would kill Ashley in an instant." He paused for a moment, and the very real and very possible situation struck Ichiru like a ton of bricks. However, he didn’t say anything, nor did he let it show on his face, instead just looking at the tribute as he continued.

"I have a deal I want to strike with you. Since Ashley has put her trust in you, I want you to be on my side and help me take her down. I want you to find out information for me about her, and then in the arena I want you to stay by her side as an ally and protect her from other tributes. Then, I want you to lead her to me where I'll be the one to kill her. If you do this, then I promise that my partner and I won't be the ones to kill Kiseki. Even if my partner and I had a shot at taking Kiseki down, we won't do it, and we'll even go as far as save him if he's about to get killed by another tribute." Matt paused again for a few moments, and the expression on Ichiru‘s face darkened. He already knew what Matt was going to say next.

"If you don't take my offer however then I'll make sure Kiseki dies by either mine or my partner's hands, and it won't be quick either. His death will be long and suffering if you don't accept my offer to you." He extended his hand to Ichiru, who now couldn’t hide his anger any longer and most likely looked like he wanted to kill him right there on the spot. "Now, do we have a deal?"

Ichiru was silent as he thought out and weighed the consequences of each choice. If he refused, Kiseki would automatically be a target, and he had already vowed that he would protect his brother. It was true that he wouldn’t turn on him for someone he had just met and happened to be attracted to, but at the same time he had just promised to protect the Mellarks, and he never went back on a sincere promise.

But on the other hand, even if he accepted the deal, he didn’t have to follow through with it. He had always been good at lying and acting… why not use it now?

After several moments of consideration and mentally debating with himself, Ichiru gave Matt a smirk, shaking the hand offered to him.

“Looks like you have yourself a deal.”

He knew he could turn this situation around on the other tribute, and that was exactly what he planned to do. Now the only problem was somehow warning Kiseki and Ashley without making Matt suspicious…

“Of course it is.” Kiseki responded to Caroline with a smile of his own, bringing her face to lighten up with joy.

“I want to help, if it’s okay with the two of you.” Michael said after a few moments, Caroline and Jeremy turning their attention back to him. The two then looked at each other in question, the two tributes thinking over the offer.

"It couldn't hurt. The more people we have the better." Caroline said. Jeremy still thought it over however, looking up at Michael. Jeremy knew that Michael was from a Career District which was messing with his judgement, though he thought back from the past few hours and remembered that Michael didn't really interact with the other Career tributes. In fact, remembering from watching the Reapings that Michael didn't seem happy at all to be in the Games.

"Okay." Jeremy said with a nod. "We're all a team then."

Back on the roof Matt watched Ichiru for a few moments, the other tribute's rage becoming noticeable on his face as Matt slightly smirked. He didn't say anything else however as he let Ichiru think about the situation, watching as Ichiru gave a smirk and shook Matt's hand.

“Looks like you have yourself a deal.” Ichiru said.

"Smart choice." Matt smirked back, turning and walking for the door. "And if I find out that you're lying, I'll make Ashley's death even more suffering then what I already planned. And when I win the Games I'll be sure to go after Aria and kill her as well, so you better not be lying." And with that, Matt left the roof.

A few hours had gone by when it was announced for the tributes to go back to their own floors and get ready for lunch, which all of the tributes had to attend together in the dining room. Caroline followed Stefan back up to their room, while Ashley and Jeremy followed their parents to theirs.

"Oh my God! You look filthy!" On the fourth floor the prep team scowled at Caroline, who scowled right back.

"I was in training! Of course I'm dirty!" Caroline shot back.

"Just get in the shower so we can make you pretty again!" Caroline sighed at the prep team, disappearing into the bathroom that was in her room. Once Caroline was finished she didn't even have time to place on a robe as her prep team barged right into the bathroom and pulled her out of the shower, like they were waiting right outside the door or something. Caroline knew that they probably did.

"What about Kiseki? Don't you need to fix him up?" Caroline asked in annoyance, the prep team allowing Caroline to at least wrap herself up in a towel as they rushed her out into the kitchen where everything they needed to fix up Caroline was on the long table.

"You're a girl so you need much more work done." One of the members said.

"Can I at least get dressed so everyone doesn't have to see me in just a towel?"

"No! We don't want strands of hair clinging to your outfit!" Caroline just sighed, hearing Stefan chuckle as she shot him a warning look. After blow-drying and straightening Caroline's silky blonde hair as well as fixing up Caroline's finger and toe nails the team was deciding on what image to present Caroline as, whether she should look harmless and cute, or seductive and sexy.

"Don't I have a say in this?" Caroline asked.

"Nope. We're going with sexy." Caroline groaned at the response, the prep team motioning Caroline back to her room and closed the door where they tore away her towel, her naked body exposed. Normally Caroline would had been flustered, but she was too frustrated to care at this point. The prep team dressed her in a tight purple sleeveless shirt that showed her bellybutton with tight black jeans, letting her at least wear purple Converse sneakers to match her shirt. Caroline stepped out of her room and sat on the couch, waiting for the team to be done with Kiseki now so they could go down to lunch. She was happy that the prep team didn't drown her face in make-up, only putting on a small amount of black eye-liner, some purple lip-gloss and a very light layer of purple eye-shadow. Caroline hated to admit it, but she did look really pretty.

As soon as Ashley and Jeremy reached their floor the prep team swarmed in on Ashley as they did with Caroline, ordering Ashley into the shower and worked on her. They curled Ashley's hair in soft wavy curls and gave Ashley a red dress to wear, the prep team making it so Ashley looked cute, but the color of the dress making her look sexy as well. The dress was low cut and wrapped around really well around Ashley's stomach and back, then draped lightly down to Ashley's knees. The prep team put Ashley in red flats for the cute image and pained her nails red, painting flames on the nails as well.

"So, 'The Girl On Fire', don't you just love your little nickname?" Ashley recalled Matt's words from training, the brunette looking herself in the mirror once the prep team was finished with her and were working on Jeremy. Could Matt actually be right about her image? Were her prep team trying to reflect Ashley like her mother Katniss, but remain herself as well since her hair was in curls and not a side-braid? Ashley realized this must had been their plan as she looked at her dress, the color truly looking as though it was on fire.

"I really am 'The Girl On Fire'" Ashley muttered to herself as she turned and walked away from the mirror, giving Aria a smile who was dressed in a sun-set orange colored sundress, Peeta's favorite color.

"You look really pretty mommy." Aria said with a smile.

"So do you." Ashley smiled back as she placed on the heart-shaped locket around her neck which had a picture of Aria inside. Jeremy came walking into the living room with a simple brown shirt, blue jeans and black Converse sneakers.

"Is everyone ready?" Katniss asked as everyone nodded, the family walking out of the room and to the elevator. Once the family was down in the dining room the first thing they noticed was all of the food displayed, tables and tables filled with endless food.

"Holy crap..." Kenny said as Ashley held Aria's hand. There were a few tributes that glared at Ashley and her family, but they ignored them as Ashley took Aria to where the food was.

"What do you want to eat?" Ashley asked.

"Everything!" Aria laughed as Ashley chuckled.

"I'll start you off with one plate with small portions of different foods. If you're still hungry then we'll get you another plate." Aria nodded at her mother's words, Ashley filling a plate with macaroni and cheese, chicken, a piece of corn bread, a meatball and some potato wedges. Ashley then motioned Aria to an emptied table and sat down with her daughter, an Avox boy walking over with two emptied glasses in his hand. "Two apple juices please." Ashley said kindly with a smile. The Avox nodded, walking away with the glasses.

Once Ashley's family had gotten their food she got up to get her own, not wanting to leave Aria alone with a room full of tributes. Once Ashley got her own food she returned to the table and sat next to her daughter, who had cheese sauce on her face.

"Really?" Ashley laughed as Aria giggled, taking a napkin and wiping her face. Ashley then looked up and saw Caroline and Stefan enter the room, Ashley waving at the two before starting to eat. As Ashley was taking a sip of apple juice she caught Matt's gaze from across the room, her heart skipping a beat once again from Matt's deadly smirk. Ashley and Jeremy had no idea about the deal Matt made with Ichiru, and not even Caroline.

"You okay?" Caroline mouthed from across the room when seeing the look on Ashley's face when the two girls locked eyes. Ashley nodded, bringing the blonde to nod as well as she joined Stefan at an emptied table. Even though Ashley tried not to show it, she was secretly scanning the room constantly for any threats being made that would endanger Aria or Kenny, a knife right beside Ashley being ready for use.

Also, very soon we'll be the Arena. Probably in about two or three more posts I'll do a time skip to the night before the Games start, this way we can skip the interview and really get the RP rolling =]

Amelia Kozaka,District One/Keiru Kozaka,District One
Training Room->District One Suite->Lunch Room/Solitary Confinement->District One Suite->Lunch Room

Amelia looked at Caitlyn before responding, deep in thought for a moment. "Keiru trained for a few years before stopping. He doesn't particularly like archery, which is surprising since he's still relatively good even now, and he hasn't used a bow in at least five years or more."

Amelia let out a sigh as she looked back at the target, observing her arrows. "I've trained in archery for as long as Keiru has trained with his main weapon of expertise."

Amelia decided she had had enough with archery for now, and placed the bow back in its holder, placing the quiver next to it, and gazed over her shoulder at Caitlyn. "See you some other time."

With that, Amelia walked over to the treadmills, and began a workout. After a while, the tributes were signaled to return to their rooms and prepare for lunch, and Amelia turned off the machine and stepped off of it, wiping her forehead as she did so. She'd pushed herself to the very limit on the treadmill, and she knew she was going to need to do even more to manage in the arena, and her thoughts drifted to the arena as she strolled out of the training room, and entered the District One Suite.

Her prep team swarmed over her instantly, pushing her into the bathroom, and they waited outside around fifteen minutes, after she had sufficiently cleansed herself, and practically dragged her back out, with a towel wrapped around her, barely managing to stay on as she was dragged, and they set about trying to decide on a dress. After what seemed like a few minutes, they pulled out a crimson dress, and pulled the towel off of Amelia, and quickly put the dress on her.

After that, they set about putting her hair up into a ponytail, and when they were done they stepped back, smiles on their face as they observed their 'masterpiece'. Amelia looked down at what she was wearing, a small blush rising on her cheeks at the sight of the figure-hugging red dress, which just covered the knees, before looking back up as a pair of knee-high black boots were shoved into her hands, and she quickly put them on.

A low whistle broke the near silence in the room, and Amelia's attention snapped to the entrance to the suite, where Keiru was stood, a grin plastered on his face.

"Well, aren't you looking beautiful today." Keiru smirked, but his smirk dropped when he saw the facial expression that Amelia's face now adorned, and when she didn't respond to him, he frowned, before shrugging his shoulders.

Keiru disappeared into the bathroom, reappearing minutes later wearing black trousers, with a pale blue cotton t-shirt as well as a brown tweed jacket, with a dark red bow-tie fastened around the top button of his shirt. On his feet were black dress shoes, and he fiddled with the bow-tie for a moment, before looking up at Amelia who had an eyebrow raised at his outfit, and she spoke to him for the first time in a while.

"A bow-tie, really?" Amelia asked.

"Bow-ties are cool." Keiru responded. "Come now, lunch awaits."

Amelia was instantly back into her shell, not speaking or looking at Keiru as the two of them headed to the lunch room, Keiru calmly strolling whilst Amelia walked several paces ahead of him, and she entered before him, disappearing off to the food area and grabbed her food, before making her way to a table on her own. Keiru strolled in several seconds later, a grin plastered on his face as he walked over to the area to grab his food, grabbing a banana, a plate of pancakes, some fish fingers and a bowl of custard, before heading towards the table Amelia was on, but a quick glare from her brought him to raise an eyebrow, before dropping himself down onto an empty table, an angry look on his face as he glared down at his food, but the look was gone within moments as he began to eat the pancakes.

He noticed out of the corner of his eye the two Peacekeepers who had moved themselves to be standing at a close enough distance to Keiru to restrain him if he caused a ruckus, and a smirk rose on his features as he shook his head. Keiru spotted Brandon and Christian who had already arrived, and noticed they were sat on the same table, along with their partners, deep in conversation. Keiru looked back down at his meal and continued to eat it, the food gone within a few minutes.

Ichiru Kagami from District Three/ Kiseki Kagami from District Four/ Michael Knight from District Two/ Caitlyn Walker from District Seven
Lunch Room

Only a few hours later, the tributes were sent back to their rooms, where they were to get ready for lunch. Michael and Kiseki had spent their remaining training time with Caroline and Jeremy, and after his chat with Matt, Ichiru had joined them after a few moments of thinking on the roof. He had been a little surprised to find that Michael had already been accepted into an alliance with the rest of them, but after being around the blonde haired boy for only a little while, he could see why.

Now, after showering and having his prep team fuss over his hair and face - which probably took longer than it should have due to his stubbornness - he chose the closest thing to what he normally wore back home from the selection of clothes in his room, which happened to be a simple black t-shirt and blue jeans.

With the deal he’d made with Matt hanging over his head, he had to admit he didn’t really feel like being around the other tributes right now, especially since he knew that he would want to talk to him about the plan, and just him talking with Matt would probably bring about suspicion in itself. He had to think of some way to warn the others about what Matt was planning before they got into the arena.

He glanced around the room just before leaving and noticed a small notepad lying on a desk nearby. After looking through the drawers, he managed to find some pens, which brought him to smirk.

It took less time for Kiseki to get ready, considering he hadn’t put up a fight when the prep team was fixing his hair, although he already knew that despite their best efforts it was going to do what it wanted to do. Once they had left him by himself again, he changed into a red shirt t-shirt with dark sleeves and something like a cross on the side in black, along with a pair of grayish jeans. At least he had the freedom to choose his own outfit this time…

When meeting up with Caroline and Stefan to go down to the lunch room, he couldn’t keep the blush from appearing on his face. In a way he was glad that Ichiru or Michael weren’t there, because they would have no doubt noticed and teased him.

He followed his partner and mentor to the lunch room where the other tributes were already gathered, noticing that Michael was already there, dressed in a simple white shirt and blue jeans. The blonde spotted him and Caroline as they made their way over to where the food was a smiled, bringing Kiseki to return it. Although he joined them, he didn’t really say much, which Kiseki found odd since he had been so sociable a few hours ago. Maybe he was just tired? Kiseki certainly was, and this was only their first day here.

He noticed Ichiru come in as well, but somehow the older twin seemed upset or stressed over something. He had been that way ever since he had come back from the roof. Since Ashley had come back before him earlier, he couldn’t help but wonder if something had happened between the two of them.

“One of the best things about this place is the food..” Michael finally spoke after they had taken a seat with their food, snapping Kiseki out of his thoughts. However, the blonde’s attention went to Keiru and Amelia, who were sitting alone at separate tables. Why weren’t they sitting together? Had something happened?

“Yeah, we’ve never had anything like this in District Four.” Kiseki responded to Michael wit a chuckle. The blonde tore his gaze away from where it had rested on Amelia and looked back at Kiseki, whose attention had shifted to Caroline when he noticed her looking at Ashley. He could easily see her concern, and it was understandable that she had it, with what they had been told earlier, along with everything that had happened so far.

“Do you want to go sit with them?” He asked softly as he looked back at his partner. “It might ease your worries a little if we’re right there with them.”

Caitlyn couldn’t help but be irritated upon her arrival in the lunch room, and somehow the presence of her partner wasn‘t helping. Her prep team had forced her into a strapless dark blue dress that fell down to just above her knees in layers, along with a pair of black heels. Oh how much she hated heels. Jason had gotten to wear whatever he wanted, and hadn’t bothered to hold back on his sarcastic comments on Caitlyn’s attire.

As the two walked over to get their food, Caitlyn spotted Keiru sitting by himself at a table with two Peacekeepers nearby, which confused her. Amelia was sitting by herself as well, which she found unusual. When she had spoken with her at the archery station before, she had figured that she was probably shy or didn’t socialize much, but she had expected her to at least stay with Keiru.

After a moment’s pause, the brunette walked over to where he sat and took a seat across from him, noticing that he had already finished his food.

“Well someone was hungry. Or else I‘m really late.” She commented with a smile as her gaze flickered to Jason, who was scowling at the two of them as he got his own food. Somehow she didn’t feel comfortable around him, which was strange. You would think that she would feel more comfortable around her own partner than a stranger who everyone else seemed to think was homicidal. She pushed these thoughts away, averting her gaze from Jason as he walked over to sit with Daniel at an empty table and looking back at Keiru as her smile turned into a smirk. “I managed to get three out of five shots earlier, by the way. Looks like I won the bet.”

OOC: Because I know my bad description did horribly at it, here’s what Caitlyn is wearing (although I made it longer xD): http://www.lovefashionforever.com/wp...ng-dresses.jpg

I also apologize for this suckish post. OTL

“Do you want to go sit with them?” Caroline heard Kiseki speak softly to her as she tore her gaze away from Ashley and looked to Kiseki. “It might ease your worries a little if we’re right there with them.”

"I'm just really worried about Matt." Caroline responded softly back. "I can tell that it's stressing Ashley out." Caroline looked back over to Ashley, along with Stefan as well.

"We can all go over there and sit with them." Stefan said as he looked back to Caroline, Kiseki and even Michael, giving a smile. "Since we're all allies now then it would make sense for the group to sit together."

"Okay." Caroline said happily with a smile, Stefan chuckling from Caroline's bubbly personality as the two stood up with their food and walked over to the other table.

"Hey." Peeta greeted with a smile of his own.

"Could we sit with you guys?" Caroline asked.

"You guys don't even have to ask." Katniss said with a small chuckle, Caroline taking a seat next to Jeremy while Stefan sat next to Peeta.

"Hey cutie." Stefan said when looking over to Aria, who let out a cute laugh. Ashley looked over to Ichiru and gave him a smile, though her attention was forced back to Aria when hearing her laugh suddenly quiet down. Aria was staring at something from across the room, bringing Ashley to follow her gaze back to Matt, Coral and their mentor, who were all looking at Aria and Kenny.

"Just ignore them." Ashley said, looking back to Aria.

"Why are they being so mean?" Aria asked.

"I don't want you to worry about it." Ashley responded, giving her daughter a kiss on top of her head. Ashley took notice as well that Keiru and his sister weren't eating together, which Ashley found very strange, though the incident with the arrow a few hours ago replayed it Ashley's mind as she looked away.

After a little while Aria was finished with the food on her plate, though she asked Ashley if she could have more food. Ashley nodded, an female Avox taking away the dirtied plate and returning with a clean one. Ashley thanked the girl and set off towards the buffet again, though when she got to the food, she was greeted by Matt once again.

"Well don't you look lovely in that red dress. Your nails are even painted with flames as well. I thought you weren't your mother's image?" Matt teased with a deadly grin.

"I'm just trying to get food for my daughter. Do you mind?" Ashley growled, ignoring Matt's words.

"Just trying to make conversation." Matt shrugged as he followed Ashley around the different food compartments. Ashley's table saw what was going on, though they didn't want to make a scene.

"Why don't you make conversation with someone else?" Ashley snapped.

"I told you already. I marked you as my target." Matt chuckled.

"I'm tired of your little games. Just leave me alone." Ashley went to walk away back to her table but Matt grabbed Ashley's wrist and tightened his hand around it. Ashley tried not to show the pain on her face, but Matt was squeezing her wrist as hard as he could.

"Well it is called The Hunger Games, so playing these little games of my own seems highly appropriate."

"We have to do something." Jeremy whispered in anger, everyone at the table still looking at Ashley and Matt.

"If he doesn't let go of my daughter in ten seconds then I'm kicking his ass." Peeta growled as his hand gripped tightly around his knife.

Keiru Kozaka,District One
Lunch Room

“Well someone was hungry. Or else I‘m really late.” a familiar voice spoke out across from Keiru, and he looked up at Caitlyn, and instantly his jaw dropped in shock at her attire. He was at a loss to words to describe it.

He noticed she smirked, and then she continued. “I managed to get three out of five shots earlier, by the way. Looks like I won the bet.”

Keiru's brain was still struggling to work however, and his response was less than coherent. "I...uh...you...wow."

Keiru's jaw was still dropped as it had been for a few minutes before his brain managed to kick itself back into gear as his cheeks burned red and he rubbed the back of his head, and now registered her first comment. "I had a light meal."

He closed his eyes for a moment, mentally facepalming as he realised the conversation had moved on, and a smile rose on his lips at her second statement. "Looks like I win anyway." His smile turned into a grin. "Because looks like you discovered what the surprise was."

He paused for a moment, as his cheeks burned brighter once more as he was about to say something he hoped he didn't regret. "The surprise was to request a date... of sorts." At this he looked away from her out of embarrassment. "Was going to ask you to dress up all snazzy and we have romantic evening on the rooftop, gazing up at the night sky. And there'd be dancing. I was trying to find music though."

He looked back up at her then, a nervous smile on his face, trying to determine her reaction, when he noticed a commotion at the food station, his gaze narrowing instantly at Matt gripping Ashley's wrist, and Keiru glanced at the two Peacekeepers around him who hadn't seemed to notice anything, and he stood up, acting as if he was going to get food, and then he calmly placed the tray down on the tray slider(OOC: hey, if you know what it's called, enlighten me guys D:), and turned to look at the duo as he grabbed Matt's arm and forcefully pulled it off of Ashley's wrist, and glared directly at Matt.

"Do something like this again when I'm around, and I'll tear your arm off. I don't give a f*** about the Peacekeepers here, I will follow through with my threat." Keiru snarled. "And that's just here. In the arena, I'll make you suffer. Your attempts at intimidation are pathetic, and you're too scared to pick somebody who doesn't have others to worry about and can actually focus solely on you."

Keiru tightened his grip on Matt's arm, digging his nails in slightly, before releasing him, grabbing his tray, and shouldering Matt as he walked past, and stopped alongside Ashley, whispering to her at a level that she would only just barely be able to hear her and at one that Matt wouldn't be able to. "He is why I shot that arrow in your daughter's direction. She's innocent, and somebody like him would kill her. Others here probably would too. Believe it or not, I don't like threatening children, and I didn't enjoy shooting that arrow at her. I was worried about messing up my shot and actually hitting her, but I wanted to protect her from those looking to kill her, even if we're enemies in this, she's just a bystander, and I won't harm those not involved, and I do not want to see them harmed either."

Keiru then carried on, grabbing two bowls of ice cream before strolling back towards his table, his glare gazing around the room, and his voice carries throughout the room. "Nice to see when I'm involved, the Peacekeepers get on my case, but nobody even reacts to that arse when he does something?"

With that, he calmly slid back to where he'd been sitting, placing one of the bowls in front of Caitlyn as he set his own one down in front of him, offering her a spoon, a grin on his face. "So, you want that meal tonight?"

OOC:
Everybody else is eating, so.. yeah.
