Minccino pops out of the rocks! It's attacking Minty!

Party: Ralts
Currently: Battling Minccino

A Minccino pop up out of the bushes, startling Minty.
"Ah! Oh, wow, it's so little... And fuzzy... I WANT IT!" exclaims Minty at the top of her lungs.
"Ralts, where are you?" Minty turns around to face her Pokemon.
"Hey buddy, do you want a friend?" Minty asks her sole Pokemon.
"Rah-rah" replies the Ralts.
"Alright! Then let's go catch us a Minccino!"
Minty and Ralts turn to face the Minccino.
"Hokay Ralts, hit 'em with a confusion!"
A purple aura radiates from the Ralts. Its eyes begin to glow blue, and a wave of light emits from them, striking the Minccino. Minncino struggles to stand up; too confused to find its target.
"Now weaken it with Magical Leaf!" commands Minty.
Ralts raises its arms, and leaves from nearby trees fly off the tree, striking the Minccino.
"It looks weakened enough. Thanks Ralts. Pokeball, go!"
Minty throws her Pokeball toward the Minccino.
The Pokeball shakes. One...two...three...

Minty watches the PokeBall wiggle. She desperately wants this, so I'd be terrible if it ran.

The Pokeball stops. And...

Minty captures a Minccino!

"Good job, Ralts! Now you have a new friend. Let's let him out of his Pokeball to meet you"
Minty releases her newly caught Minccino from its Pokeball.
The Minccino begins cleaning itself.
"I'm gonna name you Twister"

"Ah, everything is quiet. I wonder what happened to Sarah and Aster! I hope to see her here soon! Here Cyndaquil, you've battled hard. Jump back on my shoulder and rest!"

You look at all of the amazing Pokemon everyone has caught. Quinn has a Pidgey. Eti has a Rattata. Minty has a Mincinno.

And you have a big fat nothing.

But that's okay! Because not everybody can be winners, right? Somewhere along the line, there must be one who struggles behind. But guess what?

That's not you.

Back from within the trees, the Pokemon that Quinn battled earlier has returned. It has healed. And it wants revenge. It taunts your Cyndaquil, urging it to battle.


A wild Meowth has appeared!

I watch the little Meowth's reaction. It taunts him, he can't seem to resist.

"Cyndaquil, get 'em!"

Cynda! CyndaQUUUUUUIL!

Cyndaquil's flame flares up more intense then I've ever seen it. Cyndaquil wants this. I want this.

"Cyndaquil, intimidate it with Leer!"

Cyndaquil's eyes slant, scaring the Meowth.

Meowth dashes back with Scratch.

"Cyndaquil, quick! Use Quick Attack to dodge, then counter with Flame Wheel!"

Cyndaquil barely scrapes by, and then rolls into a ball of pure fire. The Meowth didn't react quick enough.

"Now finish it with another Flame Wheel!"

Cyndaquil swiftly turns, knocking the Meowth to it's knees. Meowth smiles at me, ready to see if I can capture it.

"PokeBall, GO!"

I throw the PokeBall as best as I could, and it manages to tap Meowth on the head. The PokeBall wobbles back and fourth, and the tension is thick.

The Meowth was already weakened from its earlier bout with Quinn. It slumps to the floor, which is when you cruelly bonk it on the head with an orb. That's the second time today that's happened to it. The poor thing must have a headache.

The ball encloses around the Pokemon. It shakes.

Currently: Setting up camp and getting ready for bed.

"Hello little Meowth! You two battled pretty hard. Cyndaquil, rest on my shoulder. As for you Meowth, you can sleep in my arms since you're worn out! I'll set up camp camp for now!"

I pull out my PokeGear.

"Hm, it seems Meowth is a girl. She knows some very interesting moves as well. She's also very kind and competitive, just like Cyndaquil. With Cyndaquil and I being so Timid, maybe she'll help us overcome it..."

I set up camp and we all go into the tent. I lay Meowth in a warm cozy Pokemon bed and Cyndaquil snuggles up with my legs under the sleeping bag.

It's been an awesome day.

-YAWWWNNNN- "Man, last night was in--" Quinn tried to say before noticing Purra. -HISSS!- "Get that murderous cat far away from me, Corey!" He didn't like the cat with a coin in it's head, attacking Eti and Sara.

"Look, Marley, we're finally on Route 1!" Minako says. Marley jumps up and down. Marley sniffs the air and smells the smoke from the surrounding area.

"Let's see what we can find in Route 1." Marley nods and starts looking around for anything of any interest.

Entered Route 1 from Andromeda Town.

"Oh, uh, hi. My name is Minako, and this is Marley." Minako says. Marley makes a low growl. "Marley, be nice, will ya?" Minako notices the trainer's Snivy. "That's a nice Snivy. Hi, Snivy." Minako smiles and waves at the Snivy.

"I'm just looking around. In hopes of finding a wild Pokemon or something." Minako shrugs.

Location: Talking to Minako

"Thanks," Quinn replied. "I guess I just found out she doesn't like Meowth much." He holds out his hand. "I forgot to tell my name. I'm Quinn. My Snivy is Sara and the Pidgey is Bob."

"Yeah, Meowth can be pretty mean. After all, they are cats. Marley hates cats. She would hase them around town if she could. Right, Marley?" Minako replies. Marley barks in response.
