@DarkAmethyst: Everything looks good so far. For now I'll put you on the reserved list. Just let me know when you're finished with the history.

@Kamikaze: If you do put up a new character, then I look forward to it. As for Darios meeting up with my NPCs, that's perfectly fine. I'm sure Eternal Moonlight won't mind it either. That way we RP together. I added those NPCs to get her back in the RP and they have already been mentioned by my PCs. And for your rescue idea, I'm sure my character Menora wouldn't mind helping out. You could always use a good rogue in that kind of situation.

I'm sure Rayna wouldn't mind dragging Anya and whoever else is around into rescuing more mages once she and Hyde are free, since Anya is already trying to mount a rescue for her.

Even though y'all probably don't really need to know this, but I did change up Celestine's character a bit. She will at some point become a Guardian in the RP. For information of her Sacred Beast, Hydra, feel free to take a look at her SU on the first page.

Double post, bad, I know *slaps hand* But here's a simple and brief NPC SU for y'all to look at.

~~~
Name: Agana Lilith
Gender: female
Age: stopped keeping track after a couple centuries
Race: vampire
Class: mage
Specializations: Arcane Warrior, Blood Magic, Druid
Appearance: *click*
Personality: Agana is a friendly woman, and does not mind being a listening ear to those who come to her taverns. She often bartends in her own locations, and in that environments and outside of the tavern she is friendly and flirty. However she knows when to be professional unlike her partner. She may have a friendly smile on her face, she takes business very seriously. She is also a motherly figure to some, and looks out for her extended family. Even if she's not related to someone by blood, if the friendship and bond is strong enough the person becomes a member of her family.
History: Agana doesn't remember much of her human life. She was turned into a vampire in her late twenties, early thirties. She can't quite remember. She does however remember the bloodlust she had when she first turned. For a long time she used to live off of human's blood. Over time, however, she learned how to get the energy she needed through other means. Unlike most vampires she does actually sleep, and instead of blood she has adapted to surviving on energies and pure magic. With her extended life she has gained a lot of experience in the tavern and inn business, able to start her own chain of both and even combo buildings. Over her lifetime she has had many lovers, but because of her immortality she always outlived them. That is until a certain immortal woman came into her life.
Sacred Beast: none
Other: Agana is Celestine's wife. She also has had children over the years, which is extremely uncommon in the vampire race, but is unaware of their whereabouts or conditions since she left them with foster families feeling that she wouldn't be that great of a mother to them. And lastly she has a rather large X-shaped scar over her left breast, just over where her hear would be. When asked about it, Agana tends to just blow it off and make something up to cover what really happened that gave her the scars.
First time every making two characters for the same RP; just saying...
Name: Suhail Brokemorrow
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Race: Human/Soulless
Class: Mage
Specializations: Arcane Magic, Force Magic, and Primal Magic (Wind)
Appearance: He looks like this.
Personality: Suhail means handsome, brilliant, noble, glorious, easy-going, and peaceful. He had matched his naming almost perfectly. He does not like to engage in violence of any kind and would suffer in silence to avoid conflict. He is driven by a powerful sense of honor to his family and clan. He feels powerful empathy for children and those he views as good. He wishes for good to come of him someday.
History:
Raised as a member of a secret clan of magicians that stay mostly hidden from the world. They stay small and secret through intermarriage and seclusion. Soulless is a rare genetic condition that happens to the unlucky when they hit the age of 20. Anyone who becomes a soulless is immediately rendered incapable of having children and outcast into the world to live a life of servitude until they die.
Why even have kids at all then? Why not let the race die out entirely? Because within their society there are ancient prophecies dictating that the Soulless will one day be on the front lines of a battle for the freedom of Gaia.
Suhail manifested his magical abilities at a very early age, and he has continued to steadily grow in power through out his brief life. Unfortunately, Suhailís abilities were everything he was not. He longed to practice Spirit Magic and soothe the pains of those around him, but he was unable to heal anyone so much as a scratch. He has an incredible affinity for Force Magic and Arcane Magic, and above average aptitude for Primal Magic involving wind as well. He was comfortable with the Force Magic; he first started displaying his magical ability in Force Magic, but he wishes he were not gifted in Arcane magic.
In his culture, it is a grave act of disrespect to squander oneís natural talents in magic, so in spite of his loathing for conflict, he learned Arcane Magic. He loathed it, but his honor required him to master the gift he had been given, and master he did. Primal Magic manifested late in his life; he was 15 when suddenly one night he woke up standing outside in the eye of a small tornado, having called it up while sleepwalking. It took him uncomfortably long to learn control over these abilities but finally, during his 19th year, he had learned everything that the clan had the resources to teach him in all three of his magical arts.
As he approached his 20th birthday, he prepared for the rituals that would officially move him from a youth to a man. At 20, all men take on a new name of their own choosing and arrange their betrothal to another young woman within the clan. If she is already 17 then they are married, and if not then it will happen on her 17th birthday, when she becomes a woman. Suhail was in love with Kore, the 18 year old daughter of the Clan Elder.
However, when he woke up that day, everything changed.
The morning of his 20th birthday Suhail awoke holding an enormous sword in his left hand, and a small black stone in his right hand. He had manifested Soulless.
Full of grief, his family prepared not a feast, but a funeral in Suhailís honor. He left that day, and traveled to the nearest port city where he stood by the gates until a traveler asked him what he was doing. As honor directed, he gave the man his Soul Stone and informed him that he must obey him because he held the stone.
That was the beginning of his servitude. The first man, a farmer, was a good man, but he soon traded away Suhailís Soul Stone for a sack of Grain. This master traded him for a fine horse. Suhail changed masters many, many times. He was a good worker, and always obeyed, as he must, yet he changed masters often. Initially, men and women delighted in the novelty of owning him. Picking up a rock was less costly than purchasing a slave or hiring a servant, so having Suhail always obeying orders was quite the innovation. He cooked, worked in lumberyards, became a sailor, helped on farms, and carried heavy loads.
Some masters were kind to him, some were not.
He speculated that maybe they could feel the irony, somehow; that he was capable of so much more than any of them would ever dare use him for. To have a slave was fine, but what if that slave talked like a leader and knew more than you did? It made them uncomfortable.
Suhail fought to fit the part, tried to appear less refined. What would his masters do if they understood that he was a natural born warrior, and a mage?
Best that they never discovered. Suhail reveled in being squandered. Each day he cooked or dug instead of fought and harmed was a gift. He had been ordered to kill before, but luckily that man, like all the others, had not been his master long.
Now, five years after leaving behind everything, he resides in Lakeshire, serving as his honor, and the Soul Stone, require.
Sacred Beast: n/a
Other: Soulless: As Soulless his soul has literally been torn from his body in two parts: The Soul Stone, and the Soul Blade.
Soul Stone: A soulless must obey implicitly any person who has possession of their soul Stone. There are only two things a Soulless cannot be ordered to do by their master: Kill themselves, which they are not capable of doing, and to give up their Soul Blade.
Soul Blade: This blade is literally a shard of the Souless's soul. It resides within the Soulless and must be summoned by an exercise of will on the part of the Soulless. A Soul Blade does not cut living material, but attacks the soul directly; A person killed by a Soul Blade will not have any visible markings aside from eyes that have been blackened completely. It cuts through inanimate objects like a warm knife through cheese. Magical barriers stop a Soul Blade like armor does a normal blade.
Everything looks good. Can't wait to see him in the RP. Accepted.
OH DEAR LORD WHAT IS THIS?
A wild Starsight has actually managed to get her bio finished, even though it's a bit cruddy at some parts.
Name: Astyn Odoru
Gender: Female
Age: 19 years
Race: Equine Shifter
Class: Mage
Specializations:
Arcane Warrior
The magic pulses from her very being, rushing down her right arms and through her fingers gripping the tail of the arrow, thrumming through the sturdy wood and into the iron tip. Instead of a bladed weapon, Astyn has adopted an arcane affinity for the bow and arrow, and can channel her magic through her arrows and even through her bow, if needed. She has very little skill with a blade and staff.
Primal Magic
Astyn finds herself to have a connection with the three elements in which her skill excels; air, fire, and earth. She often uses these elements to aid her in her archery. She uses air most of all to make her arrows fly further or faster, and uses fire and earth for both destructive and constructive purposes.
Force Magic
This woman has a love for manipulation in general, but as far as magic goes, gravity is her favorite thing to alter in nature, as she finds it hilarious to see her enemies flail about as they can do nothing but drift from the ground they cherish so easily. She also enjoys increasing the gravity under those that have found some means to fly.
Guardian
Besides her mark and the creature (neither of which she believes is at all beneficial at the moment), if there are any other perks to being a Guardian, she is unaware of them, as she only became one a few days ago.
Appearance:
Bright blue eyes peer out from tanned skin spotted lightly with minor acne around her temple and nose. Her features, framed by long, black hair tipped with auburn, are somewhat gentle; they lack the roundness of a laid-back individual, but are void of the sharp form of a strict soul. Her countenance is usually jarred with a small, tight-lipped line that is her mouth. Her body is graced with average curves, but any form she has is hidden by the long, obsidian-colored cloak she wears all of the time. This only adds to her independent habits, and makes her a bit intimidating, especially with her height nearing around six feet. Her dark hair reaches down to her mid-back, though it is often kept up in a loose bun so that it does not get into her eyes. Her bangs were long ago swept aside and into the midst of her hair. The last time she cut it, she cut it to the length of her bangs. She wears black sandals with straps that go around her heel and over her foot several times for support. Despite this, her feet are rough and calloused from when she goes without them.
Astyn, under her cloak, usually wears simple garments such as a dark red, long-sleeved shirt and blue jean pants. The exception to 'simple', though, is the steel armor that she wears over these. It is not heavy armor, but plates here and there, such as a small chest plate that protects her heart and forearm and leg guards. The chest plate is connected by two straps of sturdy cord to the back plate, and these two cords drape over her shoulders. The back plate and the chest plate are also connected on both ends by straps that run across her sides, at about the bottom of the rib cage, so that they will not swing and hit her back when she runs. The inner sides, the sides against her skin, are made of supple leather covered in a silk-like material that used to be helpful to prevent chafing, but has long since been worn down to the point of almost tearing, and is not as effective as it used to be. This steel puts her weight from about 130 lbs to about 150 lbs, and makes it difficult for her to swim. The armor is held and strapped to her by more leather, and fastened with buckles. On her head she wears a gold-framed, sapphire headpiece to try and hide part of her large, terribly obvious Guardian Mark. The bottom of the mark goes to the bridge of her nose and the outermost edge of the wings curls over and around her eyes, the innermost crossing directly down the center through her eyes, showing also on her eyelids and protruding from under them. Astyn has many scars, though they are minor and blend in with her skin, but she has one on her back that is particularly brutal and somewhat fresh. Three pink, jagged, and horribly visible lines move down her spine. The maimed flesh protrudes slightly from her otherwise smooth skin.
As an archer, Astyn keeps a unique metal bow looped across her back. The string is of sinew and the tips of the bow (as well as the handle) are covered in rubber so that any charged arrows she uses cannot electrocute her easily. The bow is of simple shape--curved slightly with a dip at the center. An arrow pod is strapped to her back over her cloak, and it holds several steel arrows. As with the tips of her bow, the butts of her arrows are covered in dark rubber. She can craft different arrows for different purposes.
When in public, she wears a hood to hide her face in shadow so that the entirety of her Guardian mark cannot be seen. If a hood is not an option, she will mostly remain in her equine form.
Her alternate and only other shift form, that of a Morgan, is sooty palomino mare that is about 16 hands tall. She may obtain others throughout the RP, but it will be nothing mythical/extinct.
Personality:
Astyn is the last person that you'd ever find friendly. Well, that is, unless you find overly cruel and rude appealing.
This individual has an extremely quick witt and an outrageously sharp tongue. She is judgemental and can fling insults at you faster than any pitcher. She isn't the kind to greet you politely; chances are she'll cast a disdainful glance over your features and ask you if you crawled out of a hole. She won't even tell you her name if she doesn't think you're worth it. Any acts of kindness she shows are more than likely out of pity, or mild amusement. She's not the best accquaintance to have, considering that she's overly cruel to those that she doesn't know very well. She also despises children, and would rather drown them and look at them.
If you can get on her good side, though, she's a lot less harsh and a bit more humble. Despite all of her vain comments and biting insults, she is loyal to those that she travels with and will protect them without thought, even if she'll just glare at you when you thank her for helping.
For all of her terrible-person vibes, she does care for some thing. She is mostly horrible to people because she fills her capacity for love with the earth around her and animals. She could easily be cuddling a fluffy white bunny and telling you how ugly you are without seeing the irony of the situation.
History:
Astyn was born and raised in the forest to the northeast of Oakwood, hiding out with her small family of three, including herself. Her mother and father always encouraged her to practice her magic when she could, but to avoid any guards as much as possible while doing it. They also made her aware of her shifting abilities, and she used them often. She developed an affinity for several things through the years; the bow and arrow, arcane magic, primal magic, and force magic. Air, fire, and earth are her specialties, and she learned to use the first two to help with her archery. She evaded captivity up until she was eighteen years old, when she was ambushed by guards sent from Midland Fortress to seek out her kind. She put up a mighty fight, but could not hold them off for long before they took her to the fortress. The whole time she was there, she was nothing but rebellious, as well as horribly grumpy and snappy toward anyone and anything. She mumbled constantly about how she would slit the throat of all of the guards one day and escape. Of course, she didn't even bother, and instead wallowed bitterly in her defeat.
Help came along one day in the form of a mysterious woman in the Underground, who aided in smuggling Astyn out. Too busy relishing in her freedom, she parted ways, never even bothering to begin and repay her. Only last week (almost as punishment, in Astyn's opinion), she began feeling like she was being watched, but whenever she sought out whatever creeper was following her, she could never locate them. Finally, one day, he came to her; the strangely-winged, bird creature known as Valefor. The first thing she did was put his "big, ugly beak" (quoting Astyn) on her forehead, leaving her Guardian mark (without the box) directly center with and above her eyes. She had to get a headpiece to cover part of it, which didn't help her opinion of her Sacred Beast at the slightest.
Sacred Beast:
Her name is Valefor, and she is a strange, bird-like creature with large, unique wings.
Valefor can use a healing spell and four elemental spells, which are of fire, lightning, ice, and water elements.
Her signature move, Sonic Wings, and her Overdrive, Energy Blast, as well as her summoning, can be seen here.
NOTE: Her Overdrive can only be used every eight or nine posts or so, and I'll probably only use it sparingly, as I'm throwing in that it can only be used when Valefor goes into a sort of rage mode. This rage mode prevents her from being able to control who she attacks, so those around her had best clear out until she calms down a bit.
She is an avid illusionist, as well, and casts illusions on herself when in the physical world so that she appears as a large raven to anyone she doesn't want to be identified by. This obviously causes problems for Astyn, because if this innocent "raven" ever decides to be a prankster and perch on her shoulder while talking to somebody, she may very well keel over from the weight of the massive beast and look like a complete idiot.
Other:
Sorry for being so overrated with the whole Valefor thing. My original creatures tend to be too overpowered because of the fact that they've always been the last of their species and have insane defense mechanisms, so I didn't want to bring them in here and feel even worse about it. XD
The inner sides, the sides against her skin, are made of supple leather covered in a silk-like material that used to be helpful to prevent chafing, but has long since been worn down to the point of almost tearing, and is not as effective as it used to be. This steel puts her weight from about 130 lbs to about 150 lbs, and makes it difficult for her to swim. The armor is held and strapped to her by more leather, and fastened with buckles. On her head she wears a gold-framed, sapphire headpiece to try and hide part of her large, terribly obvious Guardian Mark. The bottom of the mark goes to the bridge of her nose and the outermost edge of the wings curls over and around her eyes, the innermost crossing directly down the center through her eyes, showing also on her eyelids and protruding from under them. Astyn has many scars, though they are minor and blend in with her skin, but she has one on her back that is particularly brutal and somewhat fresh. Three pink, jagged, and horribly visible lines move down her spine. The maimed flesh protrudes slightly from her otherwise smooth skin.
As an archer, Astyn keeps a unique metal bow looped across her back. The string is of sinew and the tips of the bow (as well as the handle) are covered in rubber so that any charged arrows she uses cannot electrocute her easily. The bow is of simple shape--curved slightly with a dip at the center. An arrow pod is strapped to her back over her cloak, and it holds several steel arrows. As with the tips of her bow, the butts of her arrows are covered in dark rubber. She can craft different arrows for different purposes.
When in public, she wears a hood to hide her face in shadow so that the entirety of her Guardian mark cannot be seen. If a hood is not an option, she will mostly remain in her equine form.
Her alternate and only other shift form, that of a Morgan, is sooty palomino mare that is about 16 hands tall. She may obtain others throughout the RP, but it will be nothing mythical/extinct.
Personality:
Astyn is the last person that you'd ever find friendly. Well, that is, unless you find overly cruel and rude appealing.
This individual has an extremely quick witt and an outrageously sharp tongue. She is judgemental and can fling insults at you faster than any pitcher. She isn't the kind to greet you politely; chances are she'll cast a disdainful glance over your features and ask you if you crawled out of a hole. She won't even tell you her name if she doesn't think you're worth it. Any acts of kindness she shows are more than likely out of pity, or mild amusement. She's not the best accquaintance to have, considering that she's overly cruel to those that she doesn't know very well. She also despises children, and would rather drown them and look at them.
If you can get on her good side, though, she's a lot less harsh and a bit more humble. Despite all of her vain comments and biting insults, she is loyal to those that she travels with and will protect them without thought, even if she'll just glare at you when you thank her for helping.
For all of her terrible-person vibes, she does care for some thing. She is mostly horrible to people because she fills her capacity for love with the earth around her and animals. She could easily be cuddling a fluffy white bunny and telling you how ugly you are without seeing the irony of the situation.
History:
Astyn was born and raised in the forest to the northeast of Oakwood, hiding out with her small family of three, including herself. Her mother and father always encouraged her to practice her magic when she could, but to avoid any guards as much as possible while doing it. They also made her aware of her shifting abilities, and she used them often. She developed an affinity for several things through the years; the bow and arrow, arcane magic, primal magic, and force magic. Air, fire, and earth are her specialties, and she learned to use the first two to help with her archery. She evaded captivity up until she was eighteen years old, when she was ambushed by guards sent from Midland Fortress to seek out her kind. She put up a mighty fight, but could not hold them off for long before they took her to the fortress. The whole time she was there, she was nothing but rebellious, as well as horribly grumpy and snappy toward anyone and anything. She mumbled constantly about how she would slit the throat of all of the guards one day and escape. Of course, she didn't even bother, and instead wallowed bitterly in her defeat.
Help came along one day in the form of a mysterious woman in the Underground, who aided in smuggling Astyn out. Too busy relishing in her freedom, she parted ways, never even bothering to begin and repay her. Only last week (almost as punishment, in Astyn's opinion), she began feeling like she was being watched, but whenever she sought out whatever creeper was following her, she could never locate them. Finally, one day, he came to her; the strangely-winged, bird creature known as Valefor. The first thing she did was put his "big, ugly beak" (quoting Astyn) on her forehead, leaving her Guardian mark (without the box) directly center with and above her eyes. She had to get a headpiece to cover part of it, which didn't help her opinion of her Sacred Beast at the slightest.
Sacred Beast:
Her name is Valefor, and she is a strange, bird-like creature with large, unique wings.
Valefor can use a healing spell and four elemental spells, which are of fire, lightning, ice, and water elements.
Her signature move, Sonic Wings, and her Overdrive, Energy Blast, as well as her summoning, can be seen here.
NOTE: Her Overdrive can only be used every eight or nine posts or so, and I'll probably only use it sparingly, as I'm throwing in that it can only be used when Valefor goes into a sort of rage mode. This rage mode prevents her from being able to control who she attacks, so those around her had best clear out until she calms down a bit.
She is an avid illusionist, as well, and casts illusions on herself when in the physical world so that she appears as a large raven to anyone she doesn't want to be identified by. This obviously causes problems for Astyn, because if this innocent "raven" ever decides to be a prankster and perch on her shoulder while talking to somebody, she may very well keel over from the weight of the massive beast and look like a complete idiot.
Other:
Sorry for being so overrated with the whole Valefor thing. My original creatures tend to be too overpowered because of the fact that they've always been the last of their species and have insane defense mechanisms, so I didn't want to bring them in here and feel even worse about it. XD
Other than the mention of Pokemon (since this isn't a Pokemon RP) in the appearance, everything looks good. I won't count that against ya since it's a quick fix. You are accepted my friend.
Another double post, but I got another NPC SU for y'all. This time introducing the newest NPC to be introduced- Kai! And I'm sorry the NPC SUs aren't as detailed as my PCs, but I just wanted to get the basic info out and more can be revealed as the RP goes on.
~~~

Name: Kai
Gender: female
Age: looks about 19, but is older than she looks
Race: elf
Class: rogue
Specializations: ranger, duelist, shadow
Appearance: *click for full body* - *click for headshot*
Personality: Kai is a free spirit, not being able to stay in one place too long. She usually sees things positively and has an innocence about her. She is a bit bipolar and thinks like life is a game. She is also a bit confused about human customs. She is often compared to a child or kitten for how she acts, thus earning her the nickname "Kitten" from her closest companions. Kai also tends to speak in third person.
History: Kai was born and grew up in a nomadic elf clan. She traveled all over Gaia, learning the old ways of her people. When she was 18 she took and passed her test into adult hood, thus getting the tattoos on her face that signaled this. Her childish personality didn't make things more difficult for her. Sure, her curiosity got the best of her at times, but she never got into serious trouble. At least before she got separated from her clan. She ended up wandering into a refugee camp away from camp and because of her innocent and scared appearance she was an easy target. However she was rescued by a dwarven warrior who was in the camp, and she took the elven girl to a nearby town. The warrior was to meet an old companion, and asked Kai if she wished to join their group. Of course Kai said yes, and she became the newest member in this group. Even if they don't all travel together, they know they have allies if they need them, and that was something Kai had missed from her clan. She never sought them out after becoming a member of this new family, and Kai never regretted it. It's possible she completely forgot since she does seem to not remember everything of her life with the clan other than her teachings. When the group split up for various tasks, Kai chose to remain by the dwarf's side, and the two have been together since.
Sacred Beast: none
Other: Kai's main weapons of choice would be a crossbow and a specially made ring blade.

I thought I'd just post some pictures of the Captain that I introduced in my last post. I'm too tired right now to actually put up a brief SU for her, but at least these images should help out with y'all's mental image of her. And the images don't show it, but her hair is tied back in a french braid and reaches past her shoulders.

full body - headshot - facial tattoos (that weren't mentioned in my post - just imagine them in a royal blue color and on both sides of her face)

Default Re: Shredded Sacred Bonds [SU/DS]

Here is the long planned SU for my Drow character, which will be on Taro/Drakon's side when done, if accepted. And about the abilities of the Drow, they are all part of the race, and while none of the abilities is harmful per se, they can all be used offensively. For more information in the Drow, see this page for example. For those who like to read fantasy and aren't afraid of doing a lot of reading, I can recommend R.A. Salvatore's books about Drizzt Do'Urden, a Drow who went against the norm of his people. I've only read the first three books so far, and I'm hooked.

Name: Nezir
Gender: Male
Age: About 200 years, give or take. Looks no more than 30.
Race: Drow(Dark Elf)
Racial Traits: The drow race have a few abilities that comes natural to their kin, and requires no training as a mage to perform.
* Like most elves, they have an increased lifespan(longer than most other elves even), which could theoretically let them live up to and beyond a thousand years, though most meet an untimely end after a few decades or centuries however, either to the ever present conflicts among the drow, the dangerous creatures of the Underdark that could make the most hardened surface-dweller to cower in fear, or through assassination by their own family member, often a younger sibling looking to get a higher rank in the complex hierarchy of the dark elves.
*Like most of the creatures dwelling in the Underdark, the drow are capable of shifting their sight between normal vision(ability to see the light-spectrum that humans and other surface-dwellers take for granted) and infrared vision that allows them to see where there is absolutely no light(only exception is darkness created by other drow, see below). This works by "seeing the heat signature" of things, be it living creatures or natural heat sources such as fires or hot springs. This ability also makes any drow a very capable hunter even in the dark, because of the residual heat that animals leave behind on the ground.
* Another prominent feature is the ability to shroud a target object, living as well as inanimate, in a purple colored faerie fire. More experienced drow can cast the faerie fire at multiple targets at once. (Faerie Fire: Flames that give off light but does not give of heat, thus not actually burning the target object or it's surroundings.)
* Opposite of the faerie fire is the ability to create a globe of darkness, a small area so pitch-black that no light can enter it, or leave it, rendering anyone inside it entirely blind. This ability can, just like the faerie fire, be cast at a target object, though it is far more common to cast it at a location, leaving it in one place. Unlike the faerie fire, this can only be cast at one target at a time for most drow.
* Some of the more talented drow also have the ability to levitate for short periods of time, though this ability, unlike that of darkness and faerie fire, will diminish and vanish completely the longer a drow is on the surface, and exposed to the sun.
Class: Rogue
Specializations:
Ranger: Living in the wild, knowing everything there is to know about the surrounding environment, and how to put it to one's advantage. This is a specialization that becomes the natural choice for anyone who is an outcast and prefers the solitude of the wild to the crowded city-life.
Assassin: This comes naturally in a society where you are allowed to do absolutely anything, so long as you can get away with it. Combined with the innate abilities of the drow, there are few tasks they are better suited for.
Appearance: Standing 5'6", he is not very tall, though taller than many of his own kin. His hair is just like that of most of his kin, long and white contrasting with the ebony dark skin. His eyes, like that of most creatures that can view things in the infrared spectrum, are of a crimson red. On his back hangs a bow and quiver, and at his belt are two short blades, along with the three enchanted blades. He wears a sturdy, yet not movement restricting leather outfit that he only covers when he enters a village or a small town. Under these circumstances he carries a dark gray hooded robe over his entire outfit, with long sleeves and a hood that covers more than it shows.
Personality: Devious, cunning, merciless and self-centered. Those are the traits of the drow, and if you try it any other way, you will not be long lived within the society where nobody has even a shred of compassion. Thus, this is how Nezir was raised. His decades on the surface have lessened his murderous side however, and while he would no longer kill someone over a petty insult, he wouldn't really care if half a village was slaughtered within eye-sight of him either. His blind hatred for all surface-dwellers, the hatred that is so carefully taught at Melee Magthere - the School of Fighters, has dissipated and given way to a complete apathy for the life and death of those who mean nothing to him. He is no longer the embodiment of evil that once made his matron mother so proud when he was the secondboy of his house, one that have long since been wiped out of existence. Nezir of a house of no importance, that is what they called him before he fled the drow city of Menzoberranzan, those who still knew he was alive.
Like all drow, Nezir respects power. If you can outsmart him, or match him in swordplay, he just might consider you to be a respectable foe, however, he calls nobody friend. He forms alliances with those who can be of use to him, but true to his heritage, once he no longer profits from the relationship, he will end it one way or the other, indifferent if his ally survives the parting or not.
History:
Nezir was born in the drow city of Menzoberranzan. As he grew up in the matriarchal society of the drow, he was quickly put in place, his sisters eager to teach him his inferior place as a male child in the family. At the age of 17 he was put in training at the warrior school of Melee Magthere, after years of practice with the weapon master of his house. He graduated top of his class, though it had been a bitter struggle with one of the other students over the title. His chosen weapons were a set of two short blades, not much longer than daggers, and slightly curved. A choice frowned upon by many, but once his studies at the academy was complete, there was nobody doubting his prowess with the twin blades.
The matron mother of his house didn't hesitate to put her new-found asset to use, and across the dread city of the drow, silent whispers began sharing the rumors about the quick and clean defeats of several of the lesser houses at the hands of Nezir's house. Only a noble of the defending house could lay the accusations of a crime however, and since Nezir and his blades took great care not to leave any of the nobles alive, they could not be punished. Such is the way of the drow, if you get away clean, it never happened.
As the formerly low ranking house soared through the ranks of the city however, the silent approval and shared amusement of the onlookers turned to fear as they began realizing their own precarious position. Thus, one of the more powerful houses decided to try to prevent the disaster-to-be that was Nezir. The plan backfired however, because while Nezir's house was indeed shattered, he did survive. And his house had been high in the favor of Lolth, the spider queen deity of the drow. Thus, with the attacking house having fallen out of grace with the deity, they became an easy target, vanquished easier still than Nezir's had been.
Nezir, now a houseless rogue, was adopted into one of the higher ranking houses in the city, and was immediately put back to work as an assassin and a spy. At one particular assignment though, things did not go as planned. He had been sent as an emmisary of the house he now represented, and had as such spent a lot of time with the another house. There, he had gotten close to one of the priestesses, likewise the youngest daughter of their matron. Another society may have called it budding love, drow society called it weakness. Regardless, Nezir found that he had no desire to remain a tool, a bringer of death that killed indiscriminately and without any say in the matter, a century of mindless killing he had endured, and yet his own station had not changed much in those years. Standing now before the decision to either risk the wrath of his adoptive family, or kill the one drow he did not actually despise, he did something most uncharacteristic for his race, he warned the priestess and her family of the impending danger, then he fled the city.
Life in Menzoberranzan, especially as a houseless rogue, is dangerous no doubt, but compared to living alone in the tunnels, or maze, that is the Underdark, it was child's play. Yet, Nezir endured, and after a couple of years, he decided to go further still in his exile, he went for the surface.
The surface was unwelcoming indeed to a drow. The sun burned his eyes, weakened his entire body, even weakened the enchanted drow items he carried. First to go was his piwafwi, enchanted robes, were the first to go, literally vanishing into smoke under the suns harsh rays. Later still his adamantite blades, his most trusted companions, lost their eternal razor edge and finally crumbled under the relentless onslaught of the sun. Despite these hardships, it was paradise compared to the years in the wilds if the Underdark.
At one point, shortly after his blades had been rendered useless, his first encounter with his cousin race, the surface elves, brought him back to the tales at the Melee Magthere, and certain that he would now die, he almost welcomed the thought. The elf he had stumbled upon didn't kill him though, even if suspicion was written clearly in his face. Much like Nezir, this elf had chosen a solitary life, and though the dialects of their two languages were different, in essence it was the same, thus they could understand each other, to some degree. Over the course of the following months, they began to understand each other better, and Nezir even learned the common language of humans from this elf. Confident that he had learned what he needed to continue his life above the earth, Nezir took one of his teacher's blades, and stabbed it in the surface elves back, then slit his throat as well, for good measure. Taking what weapons and supplies he thought he could find use for, he left the rest and headed out into the world. While he did avoid civilization as much as he could, the only thing of any real value that he had salvaged from the now dead elf was a set of three throwing knives, magically enchanted to return to their original place in the sheathed that followed with them. These he would keep, but he would obviously need other supplies as well, and what he couldn't make himself, he shamelessly stole from small villages or poorly protected settlements. Elves were uncommon enough, dark elves even more so, and they were not welcome anywhere, courtesy of the rumor his race held, a rumor not too untrue, and certainly not unjust, Nezir concluded.
He now roams the world, living off the land and avoiding civilization whenever possible.
Sacred Beast: None yet, but this might change later on in the RP.
Other:(Note: A number of the terms, locations, etc. comes from R.A. Salvatore's novels about Drizzt Do'Urden, and The Forgotten Realms in general. No prior knowledge of these are needed, I will see to it that any information pre-dating the introduction of the character in the RP will be explained when/if it becomes relevant.)

I must apologize that I'm not getting posts out for this RP as fast as I used to. So many things going on both on and off the forum. It's hard for me to keep my concentration and focus on one thing for an certain amount of time. I'll try to get my next IC post out soon. Just please give me some time to reread the posts, get what I need out of them, and then think of how to reply to those posts.
