Now that I've defeated the Second Round of Pokemon League and explored every area.... Is there anything left to do in this game?

Now that you have explored every area and won the second match at Elite Four, you could train the Pokemons in your team into Level 100. Also, maybe your EV training is still pendent, so you could waste some time on collecting EV's.

Once there's nothing else in the game to do I think that you should expend your time on fighting against friends and participating on Pokemon contests.

Dude, have in mind that everygame has an end.

I was thinking more along the lines of something like World of Warcraft. A game that gets a regular content every month. Pokemon is not so. Swampert Guy is right. Pokemon does have an end.

well what i like to do is breed and train. In pearl i went crazy i have 20 charzards with different move sets but that time we had PBr

There're always the "Super" lines on the Battle Subway if you want a challenge and try and get to 50-100 wins. Have you beaten Ingo and Emmet the second time round?

Back on topic, however, In-Game you are pretty much restricted to the Sub Way, Breeding and Levelling.
If you open your horizons a little to the Wi-Fi and Online content you can trade, battle and join the Global Link for some fun Mini Games.
If you're looking for long term investment story-wise, then I don't think you have anything else to do.
