“Did you take out the HDMI splitter so you can record from the AV input one port instead of the AV input two port? The device records from AV input and converts it into a file onto an external hard drive using AV output, that means it won’t allow HDMI input because you won’t be playing through the HDMI port, rather through the AV input on the capture card.”
“Haha! I have a better question. Did you pull all of that out of your ass? There are three wires. Red, yellow, and white. There are three holes, red, yellow, and white. Plug them in,” she giggled.
“That is essentially what I said,” he said.
She playfully slapped him, “Well just say that. Not everyone studied every ‘For Dummies’ book out there.”
“I am a computer programmer, I write the ‘For Dummies’ books,” he chuckled as he sat down on the couch, turning on the lamp.
“That is probably why I can’t understand them,” she set wryly as she sat down next to him.
“You just need to become a computer programmer.”
“I’d rather be able to explain what I’m doing on Facebook in less than five hundred words,” she turned the television on. Their playful banter was silenced by a flood of news reports.
“Over one hundred thousand people are reported dead in both the major cities of Paris and Los Angeles as powerful nuclear explosions occurred in the vicinities of the city squares.”
He changed the channel, yet another news report, “Tanks rolled into Warsaw this morning, Western Europe is falling!”
Yet another channel change, “We advise all citizens of Sydney to evacuate north, towards Brisbane!”
Another, “Death tolls are nearing one million as war rages in western China. We have no idea who the aggressor is, but we do know they posses technology we have never seen before!” the field reporter screamed as he was flung by an enormous huge explosion. The camera landed next to a Chinese officer, and as he picked it up, he shouted through a thick Chinese accent, “If you are listening out there! They are unstoppable! Fall back! They are nearing Beijing! They are nearing Beiji-“
The news anchor, with a few beads of sweat on his forehead sat almost motionless. His voice cracked as he began to speak, “Live from China, CNN World View.”
“Wha-... What just happened?” she asked, totally stunned.
“I. I dunno,” he stuttered. Sirens began blaring throughout the city of New York.
“What? What’s going on, Matthew?”
He looked through the window up to the sky, “H-honey, you need to see this!” he shouted uneasily.
Get ready for the hell march
Wrote this tribute on my iPod (took forever btw) to my favorite Command and Conquer game, Red Alert II. The fictional, yet incredibly goofy scenario, of a World War III with Russia and their Psychic warlord, Yuri. Truly a good game from the 90s, miss you Westwood Studios!
