Default Kim Jong Il is dead?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-16239693

Quote:
N Korean leader Kim Jong-il dies

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has died at the age of 69, state-run television has announced.

His death was announced in an emotional statement read out on national television.

The announcer, wearing black, said he had died on Saturday of physical and mental over-work.

The BBC's Lucy Williamson in Seoul says his death will cause huge shock waves across North Korea.

Kim Jong-il has been the leader of the impoverished communist country since the death of his father Kim Il-sung in 1994.

He suffered a stroke in 2008 and was absent from public view for several months.

His designated successor is believed to be his third son, Kim Jong-woon, who is thought to be in his late 20s.

Now we just wait and see what his son does with the nukes. Could start another war. *sigh*

Hopefully his son is a sensible guy who realizes that there's much to be fixed and will actually cooperate. :P *Knock on wood*

Technically, the war with North Korea never ended (just a ceasefire), and I don't think North Korea will have the balls to nuke anyone. And if they do, this is the scenario.

"Mr. President, North Korea has launched a nuclear warhead at Japan. Four hundred confirmed casualties."

"What's North Korea?" *reaching for the nuke switch* 8D

Jk. In all reality though, if they nuked someone, China would definitely do something about it.

*refrains from making a joke about his age of death*

Not sure if we should be looking forward to Kim Jong's son taking his place, he seems to bear a similar mindset as his father.

North Koreans cry hysterically over the death of their Beloved Leader.

not to be mean doing this, but he was freakin' crazy. He had people thinking the weather depended on his mood, and everyone around the world celebrated his birthday. Dude had an ego the size of the sky. He made it so nobody could see the truth, we're talking the kind of things that villans in movies do. I mean, here's a link.

I mean, the facts speak for themselves. Guy's crazy. Enough said.

If you deny that fact that Communism isn't a religion, then you'd be a fool.

Isn't this exactly what Homefront was about?

Homefront is about North and South Korea allying with each other and invading the U.S, effectively turning it into a second holocaust. I don't think it has anything to do with Little Kim's death.

Kind of. Homefront is actually about the unification of North Korea and South Korea to create the Greater Korean Republic. "Korea" experiences a golden age and starts takin' over places, and the U.S. is one of those places. The U.S. also happened to have a deteriorating economy at the time, with gas prices just about breaking the twenty dollar mark. But that story started because Kim Jong Il died, and his son, Kim Jong-woon rose to power and united North and South Korea. So it completely revolved around Kim Jong Il's death, because those event didn't occur until that switch in power.

I just find it funny because this seems a lot like the story already.

The reasons for the failing economy, the timeline in which GM fails, and the reason the gas prices are so high have nothing to do with Kim's death if you care to look up the timeline for the game.

I happen to own the game.

And it doesn't matter about the gas prices. The focus of Homefront is not the state of the U.S. economy, but Korea's imperialism and the war on the "home front". This is caused by Kim Jong Il's death and his son's rise to power. Take a look.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZ85FVrJgFQ

Again, try to pay attention to what I'm saying. Nowhere did I say that those gas prices had anything to do with Kim Jon Il's death. The invasion, yeah. But the reason the invasion was successful was because the U.S. as a whole was weakened.

I grow tired of having to explain something that I never argued in the first place.

The whole reason the U.S was able to get invaded by the Korean army was because the infrastructure had fallen apart, due to the U.S economy. So, yes, a scenario such as Homefront has nothing to do with Kim's death, but rather the state of the U.S economy.

The death of Kim Jong-Il would have happened whether or not the idea was even conceivable, meaning it is simply a retrofit. It is almost as if you were to say that Jesus is obviously only a part divine being just because because he died. That has no support in the idea that he was a divine being, but rather simply, a mortal one.
