So let me get this: nobody knows ciao means goodbye? I mean, c'mon, guys/girls...

Anyway, welcome here! Though I haven't been here long, this place can either take up a lot of your time if you start a fic or story, or barely any time at all if you join an RP or go in the ASBL. Either way, I would recommend getting a VPP, because they're all the rage.

No, he's correct. Ciao is the informal Italian word for 'Hello' or 'Goodbye'. If I were to say 'hello' formally, I would put 'Salve' or 'Buongiorno' instead. If I were to mean 'Goodbye', I would put 'Arrivederci'.
