~ Solar Beam
Both pokémon wanted to use the weather for some purpose and, since they were both as fast as one another, it looked like there would be a race to see who got their way. Larvesta opened himself up to the sun’s energy, allowing it to warm him through and heal him after the damage done by his opponent. Meanwhile, Lapras was trying to change the weather back to rainy so that she could battle in more comfortable conditions. The two foes each manipulated their own energy, Larvesta taking it in and using it to restore himself and Lapras gathering it up and forming a pulsing blue aura around her body. Just as the water-type released the energy into the atmosphere, the fire-bug breathed a sigh; he had finished the healing process just in time. However, his relief was short-lived. Heavy rain began to fall on the garden, taking the warm feeling from his body – he had a feeling that things were about to get worse.
Funnily, this feeling coincided with Lapras beginning the preparations for her next attack. The graceful sea monster allowed salt to pass through her skin and dissolve in the pond around her. As well as the salt, she added a little energy into the water so that she could control it when she needed to. And that time came quickly. She created a spiral of concentrated solution and wrapped it around Larvesta, who cried out in pain – and not without good reason. The attack was incredibly strong, its power boosted by the rain as well as the pain it caused being doubled by the bug’s existing wounds.
Smouldering in anger, the torch pokémon decided that he’d pull out a powerful attack of his own. He began to absorb what little sunlight there was now that the sky had turned cloudy and harness it for his own attack. A white glow surrounded the moth larvae as he unleashed a beam of powerful energy on her opponent. The shelled sea creature gave a small murmur of pain, but the loser in the deal by far was the one who initiated it; Larvesta sagged beneath a tree, struggling massively to come to terms with the amount of energy he had just lost. Things were not looking good for him. Even when Lapras’ body were attacked once again by his deadly poison, the bug still seemed to be upset – surely this could only get better from here though.
