Where Our Loyalties Lie

I heeded the call
of the shadow being
after you ressurected
that damn snake, you see.
You could have had it all,
with XD and I, but instead you rebelled,
and had to die.

I rose to power
with your blood on my hands.
And guilt never crossed my mind,
in these foreign lands.
XD002 drew me away from you,
and I willingly went with him
as if by cue.
We continued on,
and I watched them fall.
Stormbreaker, Damuna...
We killed him all.

The neutral legendaries returned,
and it was join or die,
and the number that rebelled
made me sigh.
When it was all
said and done,
we were at the top;
we had won.

XD002 became much crueler,
and I became soft.
The opposite I needed
was not here.
There was nothing at all
for me to fear.

I began to miss
the daily spats.
There was no one to fight
with the world in our hands.
I searched for a rival,
under sky, above the water, on the land.
Then I found that little island of yours.
Encased in crystal, your body lay.
I swore that we had obliterated you.
But I should have known
that you would come through.

Now I grow tired
of XD's reign.
I miss the bottom,
though it may not sound sane.
Now my dark hands
tremble over your carcass.
Maybe just once
we can agree on something...
The crystal crumbles
under my touch,
and I feel my skin brush yours.
Your heart does not beat,
that much I can see.
But I hope that I can manage
to bring you back to me.

Saying a prayer
to whatever entity is left,
I bring forth energy
and hope you will heed my call.
I feel warmth
and your rings come to be.
Yes, Tsukiarash... yes it is me.
You have slumbered
for far too long,
and despite what all has happened,
you hum me a song.
You use your feeble voice
to lay out a plan,
drawing it out
into the sand.

I know it is time
to reap what I have sowed.
Together we will rise,
and XD will fall.
Never meeting our demise,
we will stand proud and tall.
Afterwards, we'll be rivals again,
but only to the common eye.
Because despite all of this,
we will always know
where our loyalties lie.
