Portia; air mage
Cullen
Saffron, south edge
Affcd Rpers
; Lus and Bron (and anyone his character tells)

Everyone backed away from the rift as a huge hand came up to grip the edge, followed by another at the other side. A third slammed down to crumble a house teetering on the edge of the crevice. Portia watched stunned as a grotesque face appeared over the edge, followed by a second and third. Many of the people were already running away in fear, and she could not blame them. Everyone continued to back away, watching the mechanical creature that rose before them.

“Beta, how do we stand up to something like that?”

Portia glanced at the young Packmate beside her before quickly returning her gaze to the giant. “How do we stand up to it? Any way we can Donell.”

When the mechanical monster was free of the rift, it began to march slowly north...straight into the city. The three pillar-like legs that supported the giant were creating tremors with each step, crushing anything in the way. It was the massive blades sheathed in fire that caused Portia to worry. Even without the dark color, the mage could sense they reeked of Death. Plants and buildings brushed by the swords were set ablaze and Portia leapt into action. The closest fire was surrounded by a thin shimmering veil as she began drawing the air from around the blaze, suffocating it. She immediately turned to the group of Cullen and slightly more courageous bystanders around her.

“Alright, we take things one step at a time! First, anyone who has a water, rock or ground Pokemon with them, keep the fire from spreading any further. Anyone who can help, get to it. I already sent runners to warn the city. If people weren’t already leaving, I’m sure they are now cause he stands out like a pine in a field of daisies. Move on that and try to spot a weakne...” She stopped as she saw a huge ship moving over the city.

It was one of the Armada. The massive airships rarely left their fortress anymore, so seeing one here was a surprise. A burst of fire from its underside made a sharp report, but a strange green barrier around the monster stopped the blast. A groan rose from almost everyone present that the big airship had no effect.

“This is useless if that did nothing but irritate that monster!”

Portia was watching the giant as it roared in frustration at the ship it could not reach. She turned and smiled shrewdly at the one who spoke, her unusually sharp canines visible. “Wrong. Doing nothing is what’s useless. And why are you still standing around? You’re supposed to be fighting flames,” she said while jumping on Sonora’s back. Someone asked where she was going. “To irritate a monster!” she yelled back as they took to the air.

Sonora glanced back at her rider. <And just how do you plan to irritate him?>

“I’ve got an idea...I think.”

<You think!? Are you ever gonna stop running straight into trouble without being sure first?> the Pokemon asked with a snort.

The mage chuckled. “Probably not. Even if we can’t defeat it right now, we need to stop as much destruction as possible until we do find a way.”

They made a couple circles overhead, but the monster did not seem to notice them. Sonora dove at the ground, beating her wings until they thrummed. Dust and debris began to rise off the ground. Portia opened her hand, a shimmering spiral forming over her palm. In response, the wind began to whip the Flygon’s Sandstorm into a vortex that rose up around the tripod monster. The machine paused as its vision was obscured. Some other sense might have told it where the mage and Pokemon were as it swept one of the swords through the storm. Sonora flew over the swipe, having to dive back down as a second came around.

<How does that thing know where we are?> There was no response from the rider on her back and she gave a slight growl. <Portia?>

“Hold on... Just keep us from getting hit.” She was concentrating.

The Flygon rolled her eyes, but did as she was asked. The wind began to sweep at the fire on the ground, driving it into the spinning sandstorm. Portia fed air into it, driving the flames upward. She heard a roar from behind the mounting inferno. Several flying Pokemon had joined them in the air, the larger ones carrying their own riders. Using Twister and Gust they drove the vortex still stronger, hearing another roar of frustration from the monster inside. Again, one of the swords sliced through the driving storm. A Pidgeot did not dodge in time and was clipped by the black flames. It tumbled to the ground with a terrible screech. Mages and their Pokemon on the ground were working to keep the fire from spreading away from the vortex. The machine moved towards them. This time, it swept two of its massive swords at the ground, creating a wave of rock and earth that sent everyone on the ground running. Sonora and the other Pokemon in the air had to swerve away from debris tossed into the air. Portia lost her concentration and the wind began to die down. The machine did not seem damaged, but it was moving back towards them.

“Well, that got its attention.” Portia yelled to everyone around her. “We have to keep it outside the city! They need a chance to get everyone out of there!”

Pokemon and mages began attacking it from odd angles, trying to keep its attention divided. It was then that a gruff voice called to her from the ground. Portia looked down to see many of the city’s Circle Knights. She balked. That was just what she needed right now, to be pinned by the Knights. The one who was yelling she recognized as the commander who came into the harbor earlier that day. Sonora dropped closer to the ground.

“Mage! What is going on here? Who conjured that creature?”

Portia did not like his attitude, but was not about to make an impression on him. “I don’t think anybody conjured him. It was trapped below the city. Something must have wakened it.”

She gasped slightly as Sonora suddenly dropped lower in front of the Knights, a Protect barrier appearing around her before a large pile of rock broke against it after another sword swipe at the ground. Portia caught her breath before asking if they were alright. There was slight surprise registering on some of their faces.

“Look,” she said, “I really don’t understand what that thing is any better than you. But, in a situation like this, you either do something, or you sit on the sideline and wait for everything to fall to the ground. So are you here to do something or wait?” Sonora flew back into the sky and Portia called to one of the riders on a Tropius. “Tyler, go up to that ship. See if they know anything about what this is or how to fight it. Hurry!” As the Tropius flew upward, she flipped the pendant on her necklace, revealing a black opal that she used to communicate with others. Closing her eyes, she let her magic flow through the gem and sought the gems other Cullen officers held.

“I need the closest Cullen members not currently on priority assignments sent to Saffron. It looks like a hextech monster has wakened from beneath the city and we’ll need help.”

While she was doing that, Sonora had to dodge another sword slash. This time, she let loose a Dragonbreath at the hand holding the sword. Another roar and one of the huge hands smashed into the Flygon, throwing Portia off her back. The air mage was able to catch herself right before reaching the ground, but not enough to keep from hitting with a jarring impact.

Tsuki & Kozanar Estrada
The Cullen
Outskirts of Parasanti
Affected RPers: Charmander009, Moonkit, Altruis
Kozanar felt relief wash over him, and he nodded. "We would." And then Tsuki stepped forward, her head tilted to the side a bit, and Kozanar looked at her, alarmed.

What are you doing?

Fixing your mistake.

Her torso dipped forward a bit as she faced Caoimhe, and then up, in a tiny sort of bow. Kozanar blinked at her as she did this, wondering how that would fix his mistake.

"I'm sorry for my brother's behavior," she said softly, her light blue eyes bright and dancing with light. She smiled, and her hand swept to her ear as she pushed her bangs behind it. Her gentle features were friendly and apologetic. Kozanar gaped at her, and had to force his mouth shut. Since when did Tsuki say a single word to strangers? It had taken most of The Cullen three months just to get her to say anything.

"He doesn't like mages much, as you can see, but don't let that set you off." She reached over and pulled his cheek, and then let go. He rubbed it, glaring and frowning at her. "I'm pretty okay with them, but, hey, no hard feelings." She reached into her bag and took out a Pecha berry, unsure of what the Umbreon liked, but willing to find out. She stepped forward and crouched, holding out her hand with a smile. "Here, for your buddy."

Ikuja looked on jealously, and Ryugaun gave a slight whimper, his shoulders slumping.

Niusha and Shadowfang
Pokémon Elemental
Outskirts of Parasanti
Affected RPers: Charmander009, WWotS, Altruis (you should read this, too)

Shadowfang looked up at the girl as she pulled a Pecha berry out of her bag. Smiling, the midnight fox almost failed to notice that the other two Pokémon looked jealous. When he noticed, he gently grabbed the berry, yet set it down. Looking back at the other Pokémon, he wondered if Grace would want some. He shrugged and carefully clawed the berry into four pieces. He pushed a piece towards Grace, one towards the Ferrothorn, and one towards Ryugaun. He looked at each of the Pokémon, wanting them to eat first.

Seeing Shadowfang’s niceness, I smiled. Shadowfang hardly ever shared berries with other Pokémon, let alone those he hardly knew. Maybe he just got the urge to do so by their jealous looks. “Now that’s not something you normally see from Shadowfang,” I laughed.

Shadowfang looked up at me and barked, wagging his tail slightly.

I looked towards Caoimhe and asked: “is it ok for Grace to have Pecha berries? I think Shadowfang wants her to have some.”

Garonn and Jared the Nidioking
Pokemon Elemental
Outskirts of Parasanti
Affected RP'ers: Charmander, White Wolf, Moonkit.

Caoimhe was doing a grand job in defusing the situation, taking a neutral and relaxed stance towards calming the strangers down and getting them on side. With some quick reassuring words to Garonn she offered to allow the conflict to end if the strangers would just make a simple oath to swear that they didn't know who and what the mages were. It made sense, although she was being very trusting towards these two strangers, moreso than usual. Perhaps it was the presence of that fearsome Hydreigon that was putting her off. Even still, to everyones relief the female stranger stepped forwards and apologised for her brothers behaviour, stating that he disliked mages but asked us not to hold it against him. Jared looked at Garonn when she said this. There wasn't a change in his face, and he wasn't sure Garonn had understood. He gripped his shoulder a little and sent Garonn a telepathic message

The male isn't fond of mages Garonn, but the female seems willing to end this conflict. You alright with this?

Garonn turned his big head to Jared and nodded "Garonn ... want ... fight ... no more." He said, struggling to get the words out once more. Jared really was impressed with Garonns speech skills recently. It was like he wanted to interact with people and learn. Considering he had taken a real shy approach to people beforehand, this was a massive improvement for him.

Jared turned to the strangers and spoke "Garonn agrees with the prospect of an oath, and being his pokemon and friend, I agree too. Im glad that we can come to a swift end of this conflict."

The female had shared a berry with Shadowfang the Umbreon. The Umbreon would have ate it, but she spotted the jealous looks on the strangers pokemons faces. In a very caring move, she split the berries and shared them out.

"Thats very kind of Shadowfang." Jared said, more to himself but a little too loud.

Garonn looked on smiling, but with a longing look for the berry.

Tschaveh Tenk
VILE
Open Sea, en route to Saffron
Affected RPers: Noble One, Kai-Mei, Alaskapidove, Grassy_Aggron (mentioned)

~~~~~
Tschaveh sighed heavily as he sat down on one of the benches scattered around on the deck. The boat was swaying slightly in the waves, but only slightly so. It had actually made great time - there had been no interference from storms, and a helpful wind had pushed them around and beyond the first and largest peninsula on their way to Saffron.
The traveling had been mostly uneventful. Tschaveh and Kikirev had spent the first few days combing the ship, looking in all the unlocked rooms, but not once did they spot the mysterious man or the young girl. They had taken to haunting the mess room for the next couple, reasoning that either of them had to eat at some point, but still no luck. In the end, Tschaveh had given up, and decided to spent the last couple of days onboard the boat soaking up the rays of the sun. Once they arrived at their destination, a small port to the south of Saffron, Tschaveh would take another quick look around for the man, but he didn't expect to be successful in his search.
The real question was what would Tschaveh do once he got back onto the mainland? He'd spent nearly a fifth of his money stash getting on board, so he'd probably have to perform some chores or hunt some bounties or something to earn a bit more cash. The other alternative - the much more appealing one - was that he head straight to Saffron and hope that he could find out more about VILE there. The only issue with this plan of action was that the road from the port to the city would take about 2 days of solid walking, and he didn't have enough money to employ transport.
Tschaveh sighed. He'd figure it all out once he made land-fall. Nothing to do now but enjoy the warmth and wonder what Kikirev was up to.
That was when Tschaveh heard a low-pitched ringing sound that stirred memories deep inside him. He looked up into the sky suddenly, and sure enough, an airship was flying towards the boat. The young man scrambled up out of his seat and dashed across to a door, hiding inside it as the flying machine whirred overhead. It was an intriguing design, long and segmented as opposed to the more ship-like design of most of the Armada. It passed over him without stopping, and Tschaveh exhaled, relieved. Either the airship hadn't seen him or the Armada didn't care about his pilfering of the glove.
Whichever one it was, the danger had now passed. Tschaveh walked back across to his seat, ignoring the funny looks some of the sailors were giving him, before sinking into sleep. His dreams were dark and filled with mechanical voices, but he would not remember them upon waking up.
Vyraz Inxi
The Cullen
En-Route to Saffron
Affected RPers: N/A.
They prepared for all hell. This would be nothing short of suicide if they did it wrong.
Their plan was to make sure it would collide, using the manual pilot function, then as soon as the collision would occur, abandon the train by opening the hatch and jumping. The train itself would not auto-pilot to ram itself into things that were harder than it, but that would be near impossible. Anything would get shredded if that drill hit head-on; Avalon had just confirmed that the drill had enchantments that could destroy nearly every kind of protective spell that existed, and the drill itself was meant to claw through a Nether God's hide, which was harder than most metals. Nothing could stop it if the drill slammed into anything, full-force. The tricky part-getting it to slam into the beast, and getting out alive.
The first issue was getting out-that was simple. Just override the hatch controls. Once they started to approach the beast, they'd 'hop' a few times out of the ground to get a look at their target, then override with assistance from Devex. That would be the escape.
The trouble was using the manual. Devex couldn't steer the ship itself, it could only set a course for the auto-pilot to follow, and the auto-pilot was programmed to never leave the underground except when re-emerging for stops. The manual pilot, however, could do it.
That was why Avalon would get a lot of practice-because he would be steering it.
Avalon took a grip of the control wheel, the odd mechanism that controlled where the train went. he could make it go in any number of directions, as long as the train was moving partially forward. However, the trick was mastering it.
To be frank, Vyraz wished he didn't remember those parts of his life, as they were as shaky as if another beast was causing another earthquake again. Avalon was initially a shaky pilot, and that meant that Jamal would puke at least twice, right in front of Vyraz, which wasn't pretty. However, the group was fortunate that this shaky piloting was far away from any populated area-they checked the map the Mining Train had with the map that Vyraz had, and even though the Mining Train's map said they were making holes through a massive city, Vyraz and company knew that they were simply digging through an area of vast plains, with no trade routes and no Pokemon in sight.
Eventually, Avalon got the hang of the maneuver they could be doing-making the train 'hop' up and down, making a rapid change from aboveground to belowground, each bound taking them higher, until they'd be able to ram into whatever it was. This maneuver was only in case of whether the beast had gone aboveground (and it probably did).
Meanwhile, each and everyone of them had, aside from being armed with their regular weapons and Pokemon, also had mining tools of the same kind of strength and potential as the miner train-save the drills were much smaller. Avalon was quickly learning the moves his Kricketune had, and Vyraz his new ally Devex. Devex's moves were Tri-Attack, Recover, Discharge and Zap Cannon. Meanwhile, Avalon's Kricketune had Bug Buzz, Sing, Night Slash and X-Scissor. It was critical to know what one could do.
Avalon inspected and re-inspected everything they could. Everything had to be flawless. They didn’t know what to expect, but once they knew what it was, it would have to work perfectly-or everything would die, either from the beast or the train missing and slamming into everything that wasn’t the monstrosity.
Vyraz, all the while, was in a state of mental conflict. Was he related to Suicune, or was that nothing but simple dreaming habits? Was what he heard the missing pieces of the conversation with Lazarus and Prodigal Son, or was it just his imagination thinking that? And who was Avalon? Leonard Avalon Zyxino...Avalon’s full name just sounded more familiar the second time he thought of it, but why was it familiar at all? Moreover, what was with his blade? It was far to intricate to ever be the blade of a normal person…It seemed to be the kind of blade one saw with nobility, or a king, or an important government figure, or someone like that...
For now, Vyraz had to focus on the task at hand-defeating whatever caused that earthquake in Saffron, and doing it by ramming the Mining Train into it's face, without dying in the process. Suicune, Avalon, Lazarus, Prodigal Son...Those mysteries would be for later.
Jamal was giddy at the chance that he could not only be known for being part of the attack that defeated a monster, but also have a larger amount of the cut of the profits than usual. Avalon was extremely concerned about whether or not the results would work with minimal casualties on the part of the civilian populace, and all three were frightened of what happened if they missed.
But all three were determined to make this plan work right-the first and only time.
Nerezza woke up somewhere dark and warm. For a moment, she felt completely relaxed. Then she noticed the pain in her head and the feeling of the ground moving. She tried to jump up, but was unable; her legs were pinned under her somehow.
"Help! Someone let me out of here!" she screamed, before realizing that she was panicking. If only I hadn't walked into that stupid bar without Rae... Thinking quickly, she reached into the pocket hidden in the inside of her cloak and pulled out a dagger. Very carefully, she cut open the cloth cocoon she was trapped in. At the first glimpse of light, she scrambled out of the bag, and into a small, empty room. She looked around in confusion for a moment.
"Where... where am I?" someone muttered. Nerezza jumped. The sound was coming from the bag. She ripped open the rest of it, and a small, thin girl tumbled out. The girl clambered to her feet and stared at Nerezza with mistrustful eyes. "Why did you put me in that bag?" she demanded.
"I didn't put you anywhere, it was that bastard talking about his ******* organization. EVIL or VILLAINS or something...."
"I don't believe you." The girl's vulpine face was full of animosity.
"Well then, I suppose I'll leave you here to find out for yourself." She turned and reached for the door handle, but before she could grab it, it turned by itself. The door swung open and standing in its frame was the man she had been sitting with at the bar. "You!" she shrieked.
"Looks like you both woke up early," he said calmly.
"Early!? What in the name of the gods did you put in my drink?"
He chuckled darkly without answering. She tried to walk past him, but he grabbed her. "Not so f-" he started to say, before Nerezza violently attacked him mentally. Thousands of images, sounds, and emotions flooded both of their consciences. She smirked. She was getting a high off of overpowering someone who had harmed her. Then the smile disappeared. There was a sudden, sharp pain between her eyes and she screamed. "Stay the **** out of my head," the man said. She fell to her knees, before he picked her up and threw her into the wall. There was a loud thunk and then she fell to the floor.
He started to walk over, when he heard someone say, "Stop." He turned and looked to see his other prisoner, the small girl with flaming red-brown hair with a ball of fire around her right hand.
"They do not pay me enough for this ****," he muttered.
Portia; air mage
Cullen
Saffron
Affcd Rpers
; (I guess anyone in or arriving in Saffron)
Sitting up, Portia rubbed her lower back ruefully. “Well, that hurt.” Looking up, she quickly rolled to the side as a boulder tumbled by.
<Close! Close! Too close!>
The tiny, gruff voice sounded very near her ear causing the mage to look around in surprise. It took her a moment to realize the sound came from beside her head. A tiny, spiky yellow creature had decided to attach to her shoulder after she landed on the ground. It watched her unblinking with four beady eyes. She attempted to pluck the Joltik off, but he did not seem willing to release the grip on her sleeve.
<No, no please! Bizzz too small. Not get in the way.>
She raised an eyebrow, realizing that he was scared of the giant machine flattening the area. Not that she could blame him. People and most Pokemon were already huge to the little bug. The tripod must have seemed like a mountain. Allowing the Joltik to stay, she looked back up at the machine that everyone was trying to distract away from the city. Every attack thrown at the colossus was blocked by the green barrier. At least, until a Feraligatr still fighting flames saw a sword swinging towards him. He let loose a massive Hydro Pump that deflected the swing to slam into the ground, momentarily disrupting the black flames before it was quickly covered again. Portia blinked in surprise. The water attack had not been stopped by the barrier. Now that she thought of it, neither had Sonora’s Dragonbreath. The attack had struck.
<Portia!> Sonora had also been knocked down from the strike, but the resilient dragon recovered quickly. She landed in front of the mage and immediately began looking her over for injuries. <Are you alright? I’m sorry I let you fall! You’re not hurt are you? ... Where did the Joltik come from?>
But, Portia was far too excited to notice the Pokemon worrying over her. She leapt up and hugged the Flygon. “Your attack hit! Sonora, Dragonbreath hit it! That’s it, that’s it! That’s what we’re missing!”
<You do know you look more like a kid when you jump up and down like that. What are you talking about?>
“Your Dragonbreath attack hit that thing’s hand. And just now, a Hydro Pump made contact. Air and water. Two non-solid elements that are free flowing and not contained in a particular space. The barrier isn’t affected by that kind of attack. Now don’t give me that look. I’m sure of it! Try using Sonicboom!”
The Flygon was still skeptical, but lifted to hover a couple of feet in the air. At the first opening, she gave a few powerful beats of her humming wings and sent off two strong blasts of air. Portia thrust both palms forward, pushing the attack faster. The sound waves bent scorched grass and raised a cloud of dust as they sped at the machine. The first blast struck the torso facing them and it tried to cross its arms defensively as the second blast struck, nearly snuffing the flames from the sword it held.
Sonora was impressed that had actually worked. The machine however, was not. Its huge sword came swinging in an arc straight down where they stood. Portia caught hold of the harness Sonora wore as she flew out of reach. The mage pulled herself onto the dragon’s back properly as they got back into the thick.
“Attack by water and air!” she began calling to everyone still fighting nearby. “Nothing solid or energy based! The shield can’t stop free-flowing elements!”
Word quickly spread to all the defenders as they and their Pokemon changed tactics. A range of water and wind attacks began striking the monster at intervals from either side. They slowly drove the machine to follow them back the way it had come, away from the city.
The Cullen
Just outside Saffron City
Affected RPers: K-Pop, Lusankya, Anyone else nearby Saffron.
"Arriving at destination." Said the mechanical voice.
"Alright then! I'm just going to pop out of the ground to catch an image of it...Holy S**t!" Avalon gasped. "It's HUGE!"
It certainly was quite the gargantuan thing. The thing was almost as big as an Armada ship that happened to be nearby...It was basically a massive column with three torso's of men with three metal legs and three flaming swords, their flames black. This thing was obviously a Hextech device, as it was metal in construction, yet it seemed to have an odd green barrier surrounding it, probably magic in origin...However, that was no problem for the train's drill, considering it's power and it's magic-piercing capabilities, of course.
"Alright, I think that snapping it's main pillar will do the trick! I'll try to aim there, but really, anywhere would do, don't you think?" Avalon said, commenting on it's sheer size.
"Wait...How do we get everybody to dodge the train?" Vyraz asked.
That question, apparently, was the only one that was left unanswered in their grand plan. But they were fast approaching.
"I'm hoping they do. I hope somebody noitces. Because there's no system here that can tell them from in here." Avalon said.
"WHAT?!" Vyraz yelled. Civilian Casualties...Unacceptable! But there was no way around it now...
...
One person-a Circle Knight-just happened to look in the exact right direction at the exact right time. He was extremely worried how much damage ONE extremely large Hextech artifact could do...But add two to the equation, and it just wasn't a good day at all.
It was wormlike, with a giant drill coming out of it's front, allowing it to dig...It avoided the city altogether, and was heading straight for the massive monstrosity that currently was the biggest problem.
"EVERYONE! GET OUT OF THE WAY! SOMETHING ELSE IS COMING! AND IT'S BIG!" The Circle Knight yelled to his brethren and everyone else around him, who looked where he was standing. And at the massive Mining Train coming at them, starting to hop in and out of the ground...
Many were starting to get way out of the way of the massive metal worm, as it started jumping higher and higher...At the peak of it's last jump, the Circle Knight noticed a small hatch opened up and detached itself from the rest of the massive thing. From the hole that was opened by this, three men came out, all of them trying to ride on a single Braviary, descending fast.
Meanwhile, the massive metal contraption of hextech design managed to collide, Drill-first, into the green orb that protected it. The massive Mining Train slipped inside, colliding full-force with the massive giant's body, slamming straight into a chest and the central pillar, sending it flying as the drill tore it's upper half to pieces, coming to rest many yards away from them.
They almost rejoiced. Although the casualties from the slam appeared to be absolutely minimal (Although this had yet to be checked) and the train's movement towards the beast took no lives thanks to the Circle Knight's quick action, the magical monstrosity started to repair itself, the shrapnel of it's vital infrastructure starting to rejoin, reforming the pillar, and the pieces of the torso's that got violently torn through were starting to reassemble...It would not be long until the full repair was complete.
"Ah, COME ON!" Avalon barked, touching down. "A WHOLE freaking Mining Train, with a direct hit, and it's STILL ALIVE?!"
"That...What is that...How can it do that..." Vyraz said, extremely puzzled. The single most severe blow they could do, and they did it perfectly at that...And it was still capable of fighting? It could repair itself? This wasn't exactly fun.
"GAH! I KNEW IT!" Jamal yelled. "I KNEW IT! THAT THING'S INVINCIBLE!!" He screamed, directing all his anger at Avalon and Vyraz.
"Ok then, onto plan B: something I haven't thought of yet! We might need a few allies, and fast!" Avalon said."Unfortunately for us...Oh, wait. We've got allies. Never mind that. Ooh, she looks important!"
Vyraz turned his head to the woman Avalon pointed out. This...This was a Beta, he knew. Portia: A woman that looked like a child, with some sharp teeth, orange hair, almond eyes, a small nose, and practical clothing. She was known to be a Mage within the Cullen, but Vyraz trusted her. "Beta! I'm sorry about the whole Mining Train thing, we were just too concerned to have just left Saffron to the mercy of that...It looks like that destroying it is out of the question, if it can just reassemble itself no matter how many small pieces we turn it into...How do we stop it?" Vyraz asked.
"I've got no clue who or what you are, but you seem to be in charge here...So let me give you a lot of suggestions that may or may not work, or may not even be related to the problem at all!" Avalon said, starting to act silly. Blind it! Show it a sad movie! Invite it to tea! Make it explode! Eat it! Imprison it in a magical seal of sorts! Feed it Candy!"
"Wait! that last part! What was that?" Vyraz asked.
"Feed it Candy!" Avalon yelled gleefully.
"No, the part a few suggestions back!" Vyraz said.
"Invite it to Tea!" Avalon said joyously.
"No, the part two suggestions forward from that!" Vyraz said.
"Eat it!" Avalon said.
"No, the suggestion after that one!" Vyraz said, starting to get irritated.
"Imprison it in a Magical Seal of sorts! Avalon said happily. "...Wait. That was genius. WHY DID I SAY ALL THAT OTHER STUFF?!" Avalon said, suddenly realizing how much of a great solution that was. "Oh, wait, it was for de-stressing purposes." Avalon said.
"I. Do. Not. Care. For. Dumb. Jokes. Just. Take. Care. Of. It. NOW!!" Jamal yelled, straight in Avalon's ear. Avalon barely recoiled from it.
They had to stop it while it was down. Or at least, keep it there until they could stop it.
Caoimhe
Pokemon Elemental
Endla Forest (Outskirts of Parasanti)
Affected RPers: White Wolf, Moonkit, Altruis
Caoimhe wasn't sure how Kozanar would react to her suggestion, but to her relief--as well as his, probably--the stranger dipped his head in affirmation.
"I would," he said, though his calmed expression turned to surprise as he watched his companion step up to the plate. Caoimhe wondered at this reaction, though she had noticed that the woman had been very quiet since the beginning of the encounter. Regardless, she now took the lead, bowing slightly but respectfully to Caoimhe.
"I'm sorry for my brother's behavior," she smiled gently, non-threateningly. "He doesn't like mages much, as you can see, but don't let that set you off."
She reached back, pinching his cheeks in a scolding-but-teasing manner. Kozanar shot her a look, but Caoimhe watched with a flicker of humor lifting the corner of her mouth. Ignoring him, Tsuki continued, saying, "I'm pretty okay with them, but, hey, no hard feelings."
"Garonn agrees with the prospect of an oath," Garonn's Nidoking spoke for him. "And being his pokemon and friend, I agree too. Im glad that we can come to a swift end of this conflict."
Caoimhe nodded, but the eyes of the renegade mages lingered on the stranger as she dug through her belongings. To their surprise, Tsuki fished out a pink berry and offered it to Shadowfang. Caoimhe glanced around them, wondering if they needed anymore convincing that these strangers would mean no harm. Truthfully, Tsuki's little gesture was an offering of peace, and Caoimhe planned to respect it.
Shadowfang happily accepted the berry, looking rather pleased with himself. Mostly thanks to him, the situation had been diffused. Even his master chuckled when the spirited Umbreon shared the berry among the other Pokemon.
“Now that’s not something you normally see from Shadowfang,” she said. All the more proof to Caoimhe's decision. “Is it ok for Grace to have Pecha berries? I think Shadowfang wants her to have some.”
Grace, having been sitting idly by, raised a brow when Shadowfang nosed towards her a token of the peace offering. Her ear twitched slightly as she watched him, but sneezed at Niusha's question, raising her chin into the air.
Caoimhe smiled, then rubbed the top of the blue-fox's head, "She's a proud one, but I know she loves Pecha Berries."
The Glaceon shook her head, letting her long ears beat against her body. But slowly, she relented and nibbled at the berry. Caoimhe chuckled, then turned back to the strangers.
"Well, then... Let all harms be mended," she said, meaning that she both accepted Tsuki's apology, and appreciated their willingness for a truce. "Do you swear to keep us a secret from the world? To not tell another soul of our whereabouts?"
I was enjoying the ride and seeing all the trees rushing by, but suddenly was snapped out of it.
"Carie, can you take us down, we need to talk." Belcarth said.
"We have friends down there. I already could guess what you wanted to say, but they seem to have handled it while we were getting closer." She answered, motioning the dragons to land.
We started to lower toward the ground. "How the heck do you know these things?" I asked her as we landed behind what looked like two fraternal twins. She just laughed and said, "Knowing stuff is my thing. Get used to it."
We got off the dragons and Carie led us all to stand near the twins and their Pokemon, just in time to hear the young woman who seemed to be the designated leader of the other group say "Well, then... Let all harms be mended," with a slight pause here. "Do you swear to keep us a secret from the world? To not tell another soul of our whereabouts?"
"Hello there everybody. Yes, yes we do. Don't worry about anything." She was acting waaaaaaaay too friendly. It was so unlike her. And what did she mean by friends? Could these twins be teammates? That had to be it. Only explanation I could think of that made any sense. But would they catch on though? "We will take them off your hands, alright?
"Uhuh, yup. No problem." As I said that I just stood there with a goofy smile, trying to not look threatening while Tomo stood behind me with his arms crossed as usual.
Just as i said this Carie's left wrist started to vibrate and I noticed her right hand snap to stop it. Hmm.
Apparently Carie had already known what was down there, and, as expected, Renita wasn't too happy about Carie knowing things. Especially knowing things that she doesn't discuss until it's necessary, or often way past necessary.
What Carie did next though, was something that took Belcarth by surprise. She decided to just land behind the two twins, who at first glance seemed to be the only non-mages around. And then she just started to talk to the person who seemed to be in charge, with Renita seemingly just as surprised as Belcarth was, though not handling it as well.
What in the name of the Lifemaker do you think you are doing Carie? Are you trying to get us killed? Belcarth thought with a not so friendly glance at Carie. And in the back of his head he could feel similar feelings stir up within Jayde.
As they silently waited for a reply, Belcarth could feel that Jayde was becoming more tense, and slowly he let his hand rest close to one of his knives. He didn't grab it just yet, but he wanted to be prepared in case things started to go south. While he did trust Carie, most of the time, he didn't quite approve of her methods.
While he waited, he carefully scanned the scene. There were mages in just about any direction he looked. Some were hidden, but just as many standing in plain sight. They would, he deduced, be severely outnumbered should Carie fail with her sudden approach.
As he quickly scanned the surrounding minds, he could feel a general feeling of resent among the group, and a few minds backing off from even the light touch of his scanning. The strongest feelings were just next the them though, emanating from the male twin. While he seemed to have his feelings under strict control, Belcarth couldn't help but feel a hatred against mages that he had only ever found in the circle knights before.
This is our friends? Belcarth thought as he moved on to the other twin. She seemed to be much more friendly, though Belcarth wasn't going to let himself be deceived. It was not easy to hide under a friendly appearance, especially hiding your true thoughts under a coat of good, but he had seen it before, and while the female twin seemed to be a genuinely kind person, he decided not to make any conclusions about that just yet. He had been wrong before.
The one who Belcarth assumed was the leader, an assumption that Carie appeared to share, seemed to have just been about to close the deal and let the twins go, and again Belcarth cursed Carie's way of walking right into the discussion. A few more minutes and the situation had been a whole lot different.
Noticing something on Carie's left wrist, that was quickly hidden by her right hand, Belcarth tried his best to put on a neutral face, and sincerely hoped that he would not have to fight his way out of this mess, not today.
OOC: Bron, you forgot to mention Charmander009 in affected RPers...Especially since that is the character you are talking too. =P
What could go worse today? Two dragons landed not far from the twins and soon the riders went to stand by them. Shadowfang had run away, now hiding behind a tree much farther away. Now I was left without a Pokémon to attack them with, and Caoimhe would be mad at me if I lost my temper here.
I glared at the two new people that had stopped here. “And who the hell do you think you are, stopping here, scaring my Umbreon, and asking to take these two? Caoimhe was apparently not done speaking with them,” I scowled, having already lost my temper with the twins and about to lose my temper with these two.
Shadowfang peeked from behind the tree he hid behind, soon coming out, pretending that he hadn’t been hiding. He narrowed his eyes at the new intruders and barked constantly once again.
“Shadowfang says he is mad at you two for scaring him like that, he never expected for there to be more trouble here,” I translated. Ever since I got the Umbreon, I had been able to translate his barking into human speech. I didn’t know why or how, but I just could. Maybe it was the pendant and his teardrop-shaped marking on his head...
(Writers block sucks...just basically replying to the two 'intruders' -dies-)
Tsuki smiled, and tossed the Glaceon a Pecha Berry. She beamed down at the Umbreon. "That's a little small to share. Here, I have plenty. Besides, those two are always mooching." She smiled and took out two Wiki Berries, and tossed them over her back. There was a snap as Ryugaun snapped one up, and Ikuja managed to catch his.
She stood and looked back as the dragons landed, startled, and backed up to Kozanar, not taking any chances. At a second look, she realized they were Cullen (they couldn't be sure, they just had a feeling), and let out a relieved sigh.
Thanks, I guess.
You guess, Koz? You should be grovelling at my feet right now. Get down. Now. Grovel.
You're kidding.
Yep.
Ryugaun glanced back, along with Ikuja. Upon seeing that Tsuki and Kozanar were comfortable enough around them, the two males returned their attentions to the mages. They weren't as wary, now, but the one with the Umbreon seemed severely unnerved by the appearance of their teammates. He looked to the one that seemed in charge, wary of her reaction more than anyone else's.
(All right, trying to get in on the action. Taking Lus's advice [may regret it later XD]).
Twisted Tornadic Terror
The Armada
Arriving at Itum
Affected RPers: Lusankya
Ah. There it was. The glittering, steel structures of Itum, the City of Progress, rose gallantly amid Savannah like conditions, shining brilliantly despite the area. Indeed, the ground was hard packed and a rustic brown, and the grass - mere tufts far from thriving. The river that ran alongside it, darker in color from pollution but notably cold from its trip from the Iron Mountains, shone dully from her rapidly descending position. Triple T considered this place lacking in morals, but it was quickly getting to the point where its technology would soon be on par with Fort Aer. Others thought that was a threat, but on the other hand, they could provide the much needed repairs for the fleet.
{Humans, oh humans~} She chimed, opening her frequency channel to the cargo and vehicle area. {There is a delivery due...Clear everyone out of the way, or else this ship is simply going to bash her way through~} She felt Lud smack his face in exasperation through the fibers in the floor, giggling a little because of that very reason. While she didn't get a response from her demands, she could see wagons being pulled to the side as they saw her bulk coming closer.
Now low to the ground, she slowed her speed down to a mere crawl of what she could truly attain, the rails she created now firmly on the ground. Chugga chugga, chugga chugga... She thought softly, pulling into position as people scrambled. She noted some moaned; her reputation had spread far from Fort Aer, it seemed.
"Fleet ship Twisted Tornadic Terror, what supplies did you bring?" A rather pudgy man, the "conductor" one could say, demanded in a gruff tone. His suit was well kept albeit a little small, as well as a dapper hat that sat atop a notably balding head.
{Oh, how rude! You didn't even introduce yourself...And you call yourself a businessman!}
He was flabbergasted. "My name...It's, er..." She thought it was hilarious he was fumbling. "It's Levri Archibald." Emphasis on bald. "Now that we are acquainted, may I please know what shipment you are delivering?"
{Much better, Sir Levri Archibald.} She listened as Lud read off the checklist. {One shipment of precious metals for the company know as "Iron Industrialists", chemicals for a "Doctor Quak Meupp"...} She listed them off, before the final shipment. {Various Pokemon Eggs for a..."Mr. Reggi Baron".} Levri was checking them off on his own clipboard.
"Ah, yes. We weren't expecting the shipment until tomorrow, actually. You are certainly the fastest ship in the fleet, as the rumors claimed." My, she would have blushed if she could. She simply adored compliments!
{Ahahaha, thank you. Opening the cargo hatches now.} Hinges creaked as electrical impulses forced the joints to move. Cranes began to pull the various crates out, while Dragonite - didn't they used to be rare? - handled the eggs with such dexterity and care that did not seem to suit their bulky figures. It was a bit surprising, to be honest. Bored, she began to hum a little tune to herself to pass the time.
About ten minutes later, an urgent message came over the radio from a sister ship. [Twisted Tornadic Terror, please come in! This is an urgent message from Dusk Breaker!]
She couldn't help but be a little worried about the tone. {Ah, Dusk Breaker...What is wrong? You sound frazzled. The antifreeze didn't leak into your engine block did it?}
[This is no time for joking, Triple T. Sovereign sent me a notice; just outside of Saffron an Executioner has emerged. They need powerful mages from Venefinia to seal it away. This is an emergency! Where are you?]
Executioner... That word seemed so familiar to her, yet her broken up mind could not place a picture to it. {I am unloading supplies in Itum.} She didn't really know what else to say; it was obvious even to her that now was not the time to joke around. {I will head to Venefinia immediately and contact Sovereign.}
[Triple T we nee- wait, did you just agree?] Triple T would have rolled her eyes if she could. She might not be able to remember what an Executioner looked like, but the name rung with an intense amount of danger added to it. This wasn't a joke. She was the fastest ship in the fleet...
It dawned on her then. She was the only one able to get the mission done fast enough...Saffron's fate could rely on her ability to get the job done. {Yes. Now leave me to my work!} She glanced at Mr. Archibald. {Is the cargo done? I am needed elsewhere.}
Her change in attitude caused him to frown. "Yes. What's wrong?"
The doors shut on her cargo bay. {Something has come up. I must say, you are certainly among the faster people I have met in terms of jobs. Perhaps we shall meet again...Although I'd like to get a free buffing when we do.} Firing her engine up, she was comforted by the rumble. Her wheels began to turn, gaining speed as her rails lifted her above buildings.
Now is not the time for games...It falls on me to do this right. Oooh, so nervous~ Danger abounds this time! But...I wish I could put a picture to the name. Executioner. Why do I get chilly when I say that? {Sovereign-sama, come in! This is Triple T. Dusk Breaker reported to me that an Executioner has emerged just outside of Saffron, and that mages are needed. I can't really remember what an Executioner looks like...But I remember them being dangerous. I'm en route to Venefinia to pick the mages up. That being said, that is all I know...What is going on over there, exactly?}
Itum was already just a blot in the distance. At this rate, she'd be there within half an hour, maybe even sooner. She was never good at time...
