Getting Gengar, Alakazam, or Golem in FireRed?
How can I get Gengar, Alakazam, or Golem in Pokemon FireRed without trading? I don't own a cable, unfortunately.

It's not possible legitimately, unless you use some sort of cheating device like Action Replay. Perhaps you can find someone who does have the cables.

You need a cable and another transferrable game.
Ebay is your friend.

Trading is the only way, except you use AR/cheat or hack the game.
Btw, the thread starter is banned. :/

No, without trading there's no other LEGALLY way to get these Pokemons. You need another Gameboy, game catridge and a link cable.
If you're using the Emulator you can trade depending the software. VisualBoy Advance Trade Link is capable of making the links between two Pokemon games (it was going to be two windows so).
Otherwise, you could use GameShark, ActionReplay Codes, but that's not legal and may corrupt the progress of your game, use them at your own risk.

Creating these pokemon on action replay will not harm your game unless you are messing with stats.

ActionReplay when used will leave residual info in the flash memory of the catridge
You won't participae of any Nintendo oficial event once they'll be able to check out that you used those codes.

its funny that the member who asked this question is banned and we are still talking about it. to be honest id say less then 15 percent of battlers on this forum will ever go to a nintendo battling event so this wont be a problem.
Also the question was how can get the pokemon without being able to trade. The answer is he saves, legal isnt a term that is applied here. I wouldnt suggest using it to get every pokemon, but if you have no way of trading for something or will never get access to trading saving is perfectly fine.
