[WAR X] Creative Writing

Welcome to the Creative Writing section, for all forms of prose outside of Pokémon Fan-fiction. Here, you can craft your imagination into whatever shape you like: short stories, poems, essays, and more. I’m your judge, Charmander009 (Char, for short if you’d like), and each week I’ll present a theme. Do your best to respond to the prompt, and let your creativity take flight!

So let’s get cracking!

First things first, here are some rules:

1.) You must be a member of one of the WAR teams to participate.
2.) Your work must be original, and one of your own creation. It can be in any form of prose you’d like to use, but Pokémon Fan-fictions should be entered in this contest, not this one.
3.) Entries must be related to the theme
4.) Keep things PG-13—I would prefer entries to keep swearing to a minimum—or at least censored—and absolutely no sexual or pornographic material within it. Thank you.

To submit an entry, please post the story in a thread in the Creative Writing board, and place a [WAR X] label within its title. Before the deadline, post your story in a link in this thread using the form below:

I will be judging the entries based on several criteria:

Creativity—based on how you responded to the theme, how you presented it, and how original your work was.

Grammar—based how professional and correct your entry is.

Use of literary devices—based on devices you used to present your work, including imagery, metaphors, analogies, alliteration, and so on.

Flow—based on the logic and movement of the story, if it makes sense or is choppy/blocky

Reader Appeal—based on its communication to the audience, whether it is attention-grabbing and interesting, or dull to read.

For each criteria, I will reward up to five points, according to how well the work meets it. At the end of the judging period, the piece of work with the most points will win the first-place prize: three points for their WAR team. Any second-place winner will be awarded 2 points. Honorable mentions will get a pat on the head :) That makes a total of five points a week, so get your entries in soon!

I wish to explain this entry a bit. I have a plot where Lugia is turned itno a Shadow Pokemon once mroe, years after the events that took place in XD: Gale of Darkness, and is known as XD002. He seeks out the legends and goes for Stormbreaker, the Rayquaza, first, and he refuses, and the legendary is killed. Cresselia revives him and Darkrai joins the Shadow Alliance with Lugia, disgusted. Tsukiarash, the Cresselia, creates the Moon alliance. Damuna is a Suicune that served as a spy for the Moon Alliance. Just wanted to let you know. It is told from the point of view from Darkrai (Yamiro), and the 'you' is Cresselia.
