Amaya
Gatekeeper-Bahamut
Nexen Under City

'They exist…just keep hoping just keep hoping.'

Amaya stood with her hands gripped around her lance for dear life, concentrating her entire being into helping her massive dragon companion into keeping the gate open. Not being a fully trained as a Gatekeeper, much like anyone here who survived the insane onslaught of Heartless a few nights ago. Looking back at it now, or rather up, if they were going to try and return to the normal city, it was a very very long climb up, and after trying to keep a gate open for so long without proper training and having to rely on your Guardian Beast for it, they were going to be burnt out for a long time.

Amaya sat and stared at the ground with a slightly hypnotic stare. This was tiring, and in a place like this, being tired was dangerous. If there were Heartless in this place, hostile ones, no doubt they would be down here. Perhaps the man in the mask thought they were dead, or he would of sent hordes after them already.

"We need to try and keep this thing as open as long as we can…someone needs to make sure nothing we want comes in to Nexen…" Amaya said, thinking out loud just for the sake of it.

Amaya was sitting, staring at the opening in between the pillars; it was a rather misty looking portal, one that looked like it was made out of a wall of silver water. Bahamut wasn't physically present, but you could see the blue aura radiating around the pillars. The gem on Amaya's glove was burning brightly, and she knew that her beast would be very much out of energy afterwards.

The female stood up again and turned around, looking at the shadows. She had a feeling that something was watching them, something sinister and that there was something out there trying to warn them about it. She usually had weird feelings like that. However this time, there was something really disturbing her in the back of her mind.

That's when she decided to look up. What she saw was something she didn't like.

There were small dots in the small section of light that was provided above. Between the incredibly tall towers and arcs of supports, aqueducts and bridges, something was coming towards them and it was too fast to be falling. Amaya gripped her lance defensively as she tried to figure out what they were exactly.

That's when she caught a glimpse of a very familiar marking. A barbed heart.

More Heartless. Not just any heartless though, they were Wyvern's.

"No, not now, not good." She spoke in anxious frustration. "We need keep them away from the gateway."

Amaya put her lance point to the ground and focused magical energy into it. It started to glow a bluey silver colour, and then at that point, she drew it across the ground and threw the bladed end upward, releasing a powerful lash of wind magic upward towards the oncoming foes. One was hit and battered into stopping, but a few others banked off out of sight. That was merely only strong enough to stall them, but stalling them from getting close was better than nothing.

Masked Man
Evil Bad Boss
Nexen Citadel Spire

He stood against the light of the sun, gazing at the outreaching towers that now were trying to touch the sun. Arms behind his back, he walked from one side of the window to the other, knowing he could see all and that nothing could see him. Every other person in Nexen was crying in fear, fear that the Masked Man relished so much. They all fled to get closer to the light, closer and closer they wanted to get. All the wanted was the light.

"And to be so desperate, one becomes blind and will always remain blind in the light."

That's exactly what he was doing to these people, blinding them, and it was working too well. There were still some stragglers who wanted to be heros and try to fend off the Heartless and Nobodies that were coming to try and get them. It was to filter out those he needed for his plan. Few knew the plan, and even with the gathered gatekeepers on his side, and their guardian beasts, there was still the few that escaped him. He took his leave from his room and started down a long and dark hallway with an uneasy breeze going through it. With towers being so tall, t he wind could easily tear them down if a strong enough storm blew in, so they were specially made to let it pass through them in certain points.

He walked in near silence, passing a room where the others of his affiliation simply relaxed when they had nothing to do, provided they didn't destroy the room first with fighting. The Masked man stood there for a second, his black cloak making him invisible in the shadows, and the white half of his mask easily seen like he was a ghost. The mask was simply white on one hand, black on the other, and inverted with two slits for 'eyes' and a line for a mouth. It had no sort of expression on it whatsoever. Everyone else would wear a mask eventually. It was their symbol of loyalty. Not many had it yet, except for a few.

One of which the man wanted to speak to. He put his hand on the wall and spoke, as if he was using magic to make an intercom out of the wall.

"Jerald…come to the base floors."

The base floors was there the tower ended and the basement began. It was complete darkness down there, and no one was permitted down there without permission, and if that rule was violated, the one who broke it would end up dead. Plain and simple. The Masked Man had his plan down there, and it was on a strictly need to know basis.

Some people needed to know.

Rayna and Anya
Gatekeepers-Odin
Nexen Under City

The two had been waiting for it, they knew there was no way that the Heartless had stopped looking for them. When the Wyverns had come, Anya had gone in, blades swinging while Rayna had followed up with the offensive magic she'd been forced to use a lot of lately. "Anya, I can only fire off so many spells at a time, stop deliberately putting yourself in danger! Do you understand, An--THUNDARA!" Rayna snapped, darting forward to jerk her 'sister' back as crackling streaks of electric energy fried the Wyvern that had nearly tried to take Anya's head off. Rayna was practically dragging Anya back by a fistful of black tank top that was cut in multiple places, and her sister's jeans were shredded, while Rayna appeared nearly untouched. "Cure." She muttered as she pulled the taller, dark-haired girl closer to Amaya. The open cuts that stood out against Anya's skin took on a green glow and closed without a trace of them ever being there.

"We're all deliberately putting ourselves in danger. Thanks." Anya grumbled, proceeding to try to go back into the fight with all the Wyverns at once. She had that kind of deadly determination.

"No!" Rayna growled, jerking her still-held fistful of Anya's shirt almost angrily. "Only fight where everyone can help you. I don't want to lose you." The smaller girl told her, knowing Anya was thinking the exact same thing about her. Between the two of them, what almost looked like a heat shimmer stretched, tinged red and swirled in almost jerky movements. Odin was just as present to either of them as the one was to other, if they had looked, the crystals on their armbands would have been glowing dimly.

"Fine, but this is not good... A miracle could show up any time now and we'd appreciate it!" Anya shouted in annoyance, not really expecting anything to happen...but something did. There was a Wyvern coming towards them, Anya jerked free of Rayna's grasp and ran forward, about the same time a figure manifested on the ground before her, tripping her and sending her almost flying.

"NO!" Rayna shrieked, running after her sister even as she recognized the form of a man lying on the ground--what Anya had tripped over. And she felt the jarring impact of the ground come from Anya, who was trying to stop herself with her blades and turn around. Then the man stood uneasily, and took off after Anya himself, seeming to realize there was someone in trouble.

Terra
Good guy?
Nexen Under CIty

One moment, he'd been practically been floating in nothing as nothing itself, and then he'd suddenly just...became something. The empty bodilessness was just as quickly replaced by the sensation of solid ground(something he only vaguely remembered) and loud sounds, as well as a hard impact against his side. A loud, sharp, feminine "NO!" rang in his ears as he turned his head in time to see a thin, black-clad girl practically go flying towards a creature that looked all too familiar.

Heartless! The alarms went off in his head, and he was suddenly reminded of exactly who he was. Terra, keyblade master-in-training, student of Eraqus, a fighter. Someone meant to save others from the Heartless. With that memory, Terra shoved himself to his feet, taking off after the girl as the Heartless seemed to take immediate notice of her efforts to stop her flight with the two curved blades she held. The fighting practices had never left him, really, all he had to do was jump, slash, of course his weapon would be there... The Heartless screamed as his keyblade stabbed it, and that was when Terra realized the keyblade wasn't exactly his--it was Earthshaker he had stabbed the creature with, but Stormfall. "What the--?" The girl asked loudly, surprise coloring her voice. Without much extra thought, he turned, keyblade disappearing from his grasp to pick her up and throw her over his shoulder, careful of the blades she held. "Put me down!" She demanded hotly, but there was on way he was going to do that until they were away from the Heartless trying to kill them.

"Sorry, not right now!" He replied, turning and running the direction she's come from like the girl weighed nothing, noticing a small, green-cloaked redhead running towards them.

"Duck!" She ordered loudly, and Terra did as ordered, still running. "Blizzard!" The shout rang in his ears as a cold wind shot over him, Terra could only assume it had barely missed them.

"Nice shot, Rayna!" The girl hanging off his shoulder cheered before going back to ordering she be placed on the ground again.

OOC: And now Anya has a legit reason to not like Terra!

Sir Fratley
Good
Nexen Under City

"So many...it seems like an endless ocean." the Burmecian spoke to himself as he cut through a small group of attacking heartless. "Are these what Alexandria intends to use?" he spoke to himself as he followed up his arcing forward slash by jumping up with a hop and swinging his bladed lance down, slicing a larger heartless in two.

Still in all the years he had explored the mist covered continent, fighting dragons, thieves, malboros and other monsters, he had never seen anything like what he faced now. The heartless were not very skilled, but they seemed to have the advantage of overwhelming numbers.

As the Burmecian fought further into the endless hordes, seeking a means of escape, he saw others falling under attack. But another monster he saw made his knightly blood boil. It looked different from those he normally slew, but the figure was the same. A dragon-like creature threatened the group of humans. Tension rose as purple lightning began to crackle around Fratley. As Fratley lunged high into the air with amazing speed, his body began to glow purple. At the peak of his jump, a good thirty feet into the air, Fratley spun his lance in a circle in front of him, which created an energy seal full of ancient runes.

"DRAGON SEAL!" Fratley called out as he lunged downward through the seal with meteoric speed, his body and bladed lance becoming shrouded with a dragon form, created from the energy of all the dragons he had slain in the past, all contained within the soul shard embedded within the blade of his lance. This attack was not only his most powerful, but any dragon or dragon-like creature slain by the move would have its essence trapped within the soul shard, enslaving it and adding to the power of his Dragon Seal attack.

Fratley landed hard into the back of the Wyvern, sending it plummeting to the ground. When the energy dragon dispersed, Fratley appeared to be standing atop the beast, his bladed lance buried in the back of the creature's head. Still, it was not the only flying beast there.

Fratley looked at those who were fighting against the heartless and the Wyverns. "Know you an escape route? Their numbers seem as endless as the seas." Fratley asked as he turned to face the oncomming wave of heartless and Wyverns.

(OOC: I hope I didn’t get too carried away in this—gosh, I’m a hopeless romantic xD—but if I need to fix anything—especially about Kairi’s whereabouts in case she becomes a taken character—please let me know ^^)

Sora
Keyblade Bearer
Destiny Islands

Another day, another sunset…

Yet again, the sun made its decent into the ocean. The golden globe swelled in size as it casted a touch of its warm colors across a string of humble islands. On a gilded beach, a loner stood watching the sky change different its skin into a thousand shades of red. His crystal blue eyes were distant as he reflected on the journey behind him, and the journey inevitably before him.

I am who I am… because of them…

The boy, no more than fifteen or sixteen, glanced down at the bottle in his hands that had crossed the sea to deliver an important message. A small smile spread across his face as he thought of the message’s writer, a friend who—it seems—he had seen not too long ago.

“I don’t ever get a break, do I?” Sora laughed out loud to himself, shaking his spiky-haired head. Not that he minded.

After around two years of questing, he finally made it back to his home island, back with his friends Riku and Kairi. Each one of them had changed in one way or another, all had grown a little older and a little wiser, but one thing had remained constant: their friendship. These past few days had almost seemed like a dream, like he could hardly believe that it was reality. At times he almost felt like an alien in his own home, but perhaps that was only because of the bigger perspective he now had on life.

But with King Mickey’s letter, Sora knew that another adventure was waiting for him. To be honest, he was itching for another chance to explore the outside world. It almost felt like he had left a piece of himself somewhere in the midst of the stars between worlds. While island life was paradise, Sora wondered if he gained the inability to stay in one place for too long. He felt ready to accept any invitation to the outside! And this time, Riku could come with him… but Kairi…

Absent-mindedly, Sora’s free hand strayed to his pocket. Through the black and red fabric of his pants, he could feel the star-shaped charm resting within. After they read the letter, Kairi had given it to him, recognizing that this meant that they would part ways once again. To be away from her again… that was the only thing that gave him pause. He had just found her again. After being separated again and again, they were together again. Was it fair to just leave her? But he couldn’t just take her with him—she would be placed in danger.

Trouble had found her here before, though…

The fifteen-year-old kicked a shell into the placid surf, unable to sort through his feelings. Honestly, he was confused. He wasn’t sure how he felt about anything. Riku and Kairi were his best friends, but Kairi… Wow. Since he had last seen her, she had blossomed. She wasn’t a girl anymore—she was a young woman. A beautiful young woman. And Sora… what could he do? What should he do?

Groaning to himself while scratching the back of his head, the boy turned his back to the ocean and started towards the boats. He wasn’t sure if Riku was still hanging around, but Kairi had gone home. Probably time for himself to head back. King Mickey, or Goofy and Donald, could be arriving the next morning, so Sora knew he should get some rest for the journey. No use staring off into the sunset wandering around in endless thought until darkness fell. As he neared the docks, however, his eyes strayed to one of the waterfalls donning the island. Off to the left side was a tiny cave, a place the kids had named the “secret place”.

Maybe he could make one more stop before going home.

Sliding under the tropical shrubs guarding the “secret place”, Sora slipped down a dark tunnel. The rocky walls closed in on him, boxing him into a narrow passage, but he let his gloved hands trail over the black, cool stone. At the tunnel’s end, he anticipated seeing the crude chalk drawings he and his friends had etched into the rocks within. Almost every surface they could reach chronicled the pretended adventures they had had way back before they knew about anything beyond their little world. Most were humorous to look at nowadays, though one held deep meaning for him. It gave him hope.

After walking some ways, Sora realized something strange.

“That’s weird,” he muttered to himself, glancing back the way he came. “I didn’t think that this tunnel was that long…”

At first, he dismissed the notion. He hadn’t been here for a while now, admittedly. Maybe he was just imagining things. As the going got longer, however, he started having second thoughts.

“Okay, I know I should be there now,” he stopped abruptly. Something screwy was definitely happening. The tunnel now stretched on seemingly endless both backwards and forwards. And… when did the stone change color? Sora had been through enough to guess that some strange magic was at work. With wariness, he doubled back, aiming for what he thought was the way he came from. Just as he suspected, nothing looked familiar. By now, no sunlight was filtering in through the cracks above—he couldn’t even hear the ocean or the wind anymore. Growing increasingly on edge, Sora started running. His heavy footsteps were echoed by his thumping heart.

Finally, a light appeared at the end of the tunnel. He kept up his pace, with hopes that this madness was finally over. The light, however, soon grew unbearable, unnatural. Nearly blinded, Sora stumbled, but as he fell no floor rose up to meet him. Instead the boy found himself freefalling with the air wildly racing through his hair. The light all but disappeared as darkness suddenly surrounded him.

(OOC: Next stop: Nexen! :D)

((Lil note: Ranna's speech is bold and Isa's looks like this.))

Anastasia
Gatekeeper - Cerberus
Nexen Under City

This was not good. Not good in any way, shape, or form. Anastasia trembled at the chaos starting to break loose around her. She was already tired from holding the gate open--not to mention that some people didn't want it to stay open--but the Heartless attack was starting to break her already fragile concentration. She ignored the goings on around her for the moment, focusing on keeping the gate open, but there were others in her head who did not want that.

Isataxansa, with her hatred of anything resembling a Heartless, immediately went into kill mode the moment they appeared. Just let me at them! I can tear them all to shreds in minutes! She screeched, battering her mind against Anastasia's. It was giving the girl an awful headache on her left side.

Meanwhile Ranna was against anything of the sort. Don't fight, let Ranna talk. Ranna knows Heartless, Ranna speak Heartless. Ranna get them to not attack Ranna and then eat other light-blood-snack people. Her voice was like claws sliding against rocks, whispery and sending shivers down Anastasia's spine.

"No, stop it, all of you." She gasped, touching the stone around her belt for more strength. For a second it glowed a brighter red and she felt an influx of energy. "I can't concentrate with you guys arguing." She didn't even stop to think that she was speaking to them out loud.

Do your gate thing. Ranna just talk to Heartless while Ana keeps gate open.

Who cares about the stupid gate? It will be real pointless to keep the gate open if you die while doing it! Isataxansa almost yelled, giving an explosive sigh. Just summon your weapon and I can--

Anastasia didn't hear a word after that, because Ranna suddenly jumped to the forefront of her mind and tried to take control. She gasped and fought back, only vaguely aware of the gate now. She pushed the Heartless back, trying to force her into the recesses of her mind. While they were fighting, distracted, Anastasia felt Isataxansa suddenly leap forward and take control. No!!! She yelled, trying to regain control of her body.

Relax girl, Isataxansa answered her, straightening up and turning her back to the gate. I got this. She unhooked the bola-whip from her belt and started to swing it, lossening the strings.

Ranna was screaming and frothing, an awful noise that was like breaking glass and the glass slivers were carving bloody paths down her mind. How Isa ignored it Anastasia had no idea, she wasn't even in control anymore and it hurt. The Nobody whirled the bolas around, listening to the metal clank, and waited for the Wyverns to come closer. The light of the gate bounced of the metal, sending blueish white flecks of light dancing around the room. Two of the Wyverns suddenly dove for her, and Isa reacted instantly, swing her weapon like a whip. The red fleshy material that kept it together stretched like muscle and allowed the bolas to hit targets much farther away than people would think.

One of the balls hit a Wyvern dead in the chest with a loud cracking noise and the other Wyvern twisted away and was only scrathed by the curved spikes on the ball. It didn't matter much though, when Isataxansa was in control her weapon poisoned anything it touched. The first Wyven fell instantly, its chest crushed, while the other flew for the ceiling, its flight pattern already starting to become a bit erratic. Before the rest of the Heartless could get away, Isa raised her hand and pointed at the group circling above their heads. "Gravity!" She yelled, sending out a formless black mass from her hand. The blackness grew and draped over the flying Heartless like a blanket, and the moment it touched them they all crashed to the ground as if their bodies had suddenly become too heavy for them to fly.

"There, we can get them all now before the spell wears off." Isa said, although it was hard to tell if she was actually talking to anyone. "Fira!" She twirled her bolas again and suddenly the three balls burst into flames. She smashed them against the Wyverns, trying to drive them back and give the others some space.

Jerald Itami
Evil Gatekeeper-Diablos
Nexen Citadel Spire

Jerald strolled through the dark hallways of the spire. There hadn’t been a whole lot to do recently, so Jerald found himself with nothing to do other than wandering around aimlessly to avoid going crazy. Most people were afraid of Jerald after he obtained the Blood Sword, making it hard for him to even get into a good fight. Needless to say; he was bored. Boredom that was shattered when the masked man’s voice came out of the walls like an intercom, causing Jerald to jump out of shock.

“Jerald...come to the base floors.”

And that was it. Jerald stood thoughtfully for a moment before snickering and starting in the direction of the base floors. “The base floors, eh? Always wondered what was down there. Just wish he gave me a bit of warning before he did that.”

((There really wasn’t much I could write about this. Guess I forgot how bad I was at using only one character.))

Amaya/Riku
Gatekeeper-Bahamut
Nexen Under City

Heavy as stone now, Riku lay on the hard ground, deaf to everything for the moment, feeling as if he was drowned in some sort of bubble. He wasn't sure what had happened, he was with Sora just a few moments ago in a dark tunnel, falling, them bam, hard ground. He felt like he was hit by a train, and was barely able to get his eyes open. He forced himself off the ground slowly, ono hearing muffled sounds of people that seemed far off into the distance. Soon things slowly became clearer, in sight and sound. On his knees now, Riku looked around, finding himself in a dark place. It looked like an abandoned, overly crowded city, damp and covered in shadows. Cautious, he pulled his keyblade from it's dormant form and looked around, wondering where the sounds of the voices were coming from. Standing up, he first looked around, wondering of Sora was near by. Not seeing him at first, he walked around a few corners, hoping that in his mind they weren't separated once again. After turning around another building, he found his friend laying out on the ground. He went to him, and nudged his shoulder a bit, making sure he was still alright.

"C'mon you lazy slacker, no time for a nap now." He commented, trying to take the drowsiness from Sora. "

Something caught Riku's ears that started to worry him. There was fighting in the distance, and he could hear it.

Amaya went between holding the gate open and swiping away Wyvern Heartless that got too close. She knew that keeping this gate open any longer and they were all going to end up dead. Even with Rayna and Anya's help they seemed to multiply after another fell. She wanted to change into her dark form and fend them all off herself, but one, no one knew she was so closely affiliated to the darkness, and two, using that form had ramifications at a time like this. She could feel Bahamut's power draining away swiftly. The gate had to close.

Just as Amaya was ready to release it, thinking all hope was now one, she saw someone unfamiliar carrying one of the mental twins away from the HEartless. Amaya couldn't put a place on who he was but he seemed a bit familiar…could he of come from the gate? Her suspicions were fortified when she saw a rodent anthro-like creature using dragon based magic to fight off the Heartless as well. He addressed them with a question, and yes, Amaya knew he wasn't from Nexen. Their call for help, it had worked.

The unfamiliar stranger was right, they needed to escape. Amaya called back Bahamut, and the pillar's stopped radiating energy and the thick silver liquid looking portal shut. Amaya was ready for a fight when she was blind sided by a Wyvern who managed to sneak around one of the alley's. Impulsively, Amaya threw up her lance to guard and shut her eyes, expecting a nasty claw to her chest. For a second, she felt nothing, and looked up to see what had happened. In front of her with his back to her was a tall silver haired male individual. He turned and looked at Amaya for a second.

"Watch yourself." He said, going to the other foes that continued to swarm them.

Amaya couldn't help but know who that was, but now wasn't the time for that, now was the time for escaping. She was ready with her own fight when Anastasia or one of her selves pulled out one of their Gravity spells to stick all the closest Wyvern onto the ground. Amaya looked at them for a second, almost ashamed to kill them off like that, but they didn't know any better. They were corrupt and so far there was no way of rehabilitating them.

Amaya looked around quickly, trying to gather where they might be. She found this place familiar, the small engravings on the buildings, the old leaning structures that seemed to be crushed by the supports of the new ones…wait, she knew this place a bit.

"There's a lower tunnel just a few blocks south from here, we'll be safe in there for awhile, we need to go before more come and trap us in this small pavilion!" Amaya instructed, being loud enough to be heard over the fighting. She started to make her way there, watching the skies for anything else. Riku fended off a few other draconic Heartless before following suit as well.

Masked Man
Evil Boss Man
Nexen Citadel Spire-Lower Levels

The Masked Man stood for a moment just outside the door to the lower levels, seeing Jerald come eventually to him. He had his hands behind his back and stood tall, only the white part of his mask could really be seen.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice." He said to the gatekeeper. "You have showed me the most loyalty since I've come to be in this place…therefore I am entrusting you with the reason why I am here and what is to be done."

He motioned for Jerald to follow, not looking back to see if he actually would, he just trusted that the boy would. He walked into perpetual darkness, the sound of metal footsteps indicated he was on some sort of metal catwalk. To his right, a few sets of yellow eyes darted like skittish insects in the shadows.

"You are aware as to the origins of the war between Light and Dark…or rather, when they were Dawn and Dusk…they taught you that in the Keeper's Pavilion. There is a deeper side to that story that you weren't told however." The Masked Man started, continuing his walk along this long metal path.

"After Dawn an Dusk became Light and Dark, things changed…dramatically, Each side became pure…however with flaws…darkness was soon broken up because it had too many flaws. Well, those not powerful enough to turn those flaws into power couldn't. However Jerald, you're are one of the few who have done so for yourself, turning flaws into perfections and power."

There was a dim lamp up ahead and the walkway started to come down in a ramp. Then, more dim lights appeared. Soon the Masked Man stopped at another part of the walkway, almost in an observation part of it. Down far below was a large room with cages and bars, and many odd looking machines. They hummed and gave off an eery orange red glow.

"I intend to cure darkness of it's flawed state and turn it into a perfect power…to do that, I need your help. By pushing those who fear the dark closer to the light…those who get closer to the light are blinded by how great their shadow's become…that morale is the founding for everything. Heartless…Nobody's…even the long forgotten Unversed…they will all convene here at some point. That is when I will put the broken pieces together…"

The Masked Man turned to face, or at least appear to face Jerald now.

"We need at least one more Keeper…and to find those who eluded me before…then we can open the Final Gate. Jerald, this is a duty that I entrust to you…"

Sora
Keyblade Bearer -- Good
Nexen Under City

The first thing Sora became aware of was a nudge on his shoulder. He gave a groan as the gentle motion pulled him from unconsciousness. Distantly, he could hear a voice--one that seemed familiar...

"C'mon you lazy slacker, no time for a nap now," it said.

"Ugh," the brown-haired boy groaned again, shifting in his sprawled out position on the floor. "Five more minutes, Riku..."

Every inch of his body complained in stiffness, and moving right now... just sounded painful. Granted, the rocky floor beneath him wasn't very comfortable, but...

Wait... Where was he?

Sora became painfully aware that he wasn't in his bed back at the Destiny Islands. Jerking upright abruptly, all his memories came rushing back to him: the sunset at the beach, wandering down a tunnel, falling... Blinking his crystal blue eyes, he took in his new surroundings. Old, run-down, really damp. Definitely not one of the most inviting worlds he'd ever been to. But how did he end up here? What the heck happened back there with the tunnel?

"Riku? Where do you think...," he began, but soon noticed that his friend's attention focused elsewhere. Before he could ask, the younger teen soon caught on. It sounded like a struggle somewhere in the distance. Sora scanned the distance to try to pick up where it was coming from, when suddenly Riku was taking off.

"Hey, Riku!" Sora gasped in suprise, then scrambled to his feet. "Wait up!"

He summoned his Keyblade to his hand, the Kingdom Key flashing into existence from who knows where. He chased after Riku, until they suddenly broke out into the battleground. Wyvern Heartless were everywhere--and they were fighting an odd group of people. Without hesitation, Sora and Riku lept into the fray.

Sora quickly lost track of Riku as he concentrated on the Heartless before him. Summoning up some Fire magic, he surged forward in a burst of speed, flames encircling him as he charged into the draconic creatures. The force of his magic caused the creatures closest to him disperse in black smoke. Placing his other hand back on his Keyblade's hilt, Sora turned at struck at a Wyvern that swooped towards him. As it streaked by, the crown at the end of his Keyblade tore at its side, causing it to crash into the ground before disappearing with a released heart.

Others attacked, and Sora retaliated, but with each flash of a released heart, more kept coming. Getting a brief moment of freedom, Sora glanced around the battlefield, realizing that they were surrounded. Was there any chance that they could win against this army?

"Sheesh, maybe I've gotten a little rusty," Sora panted, shaking his head with a smirk.

Suddenly, a Gravity spell pulled some of the Wyverns to the ground. Sora blinked around in surprise, but caught a glimpse of Riku next to some girl.

"There's a lower tunnel just a few blocks south from here," he heard her command. "We'll be safe in there for awhile, we need to go before more come and trap us in this small pavilion!"

Right, Sora nodded, tightening his grip on his Keyblade. He glanced over at the young woman who had cast the Gravity spell, she being the closest to him. Vaguely, he wondered who she was, but the need to escape was more pressing on his mind.

But... which way was south? Sora scratched his head for a minute, realizing that his sense of direction had been skewed when coming rather abruptly to this place. In the end, he decided just to follow everyone else--and give them support if needed. Keyblade ready in his hand, he raced towards Riku and the other girl.

Daigali
Evil Gatekeeper- Quetzacotl
Nexen Citadel Spire

The citadel was silent, except for the sound of the cool wind rushing in through a nearby window. There upon a smooth marble wall Daigali leaned quietly wall deep within his thoughts.

Daigali had a somewhat-elderly and bedraggled appearance. His most noticeable feature was his snow-white skin color making him appear like a ghost as he stood in the complete darkness. He had long, unkempt, gray hair parted down the middle of his head, long, pointy finger nails, and wore a dark blue button-up shirt with matching pants. His facial features were unable to be seen as he wore a half black and white mask showing his allegiance to his dark master.

It not been long ago that he fought along side other Gatekeeper as they pushed the foolish protectors of the light out of their former home to which Daigali was more than happy to oblige. He had never really felt at home amongst the other people that lived in this world for how could he? For him he felt as though he wandered through this mortal existence a mere shell of a former man.

How could the light even hope to understand what he had endured... what he had felt... what he had lost...

"Lucilia..." he whispered as a few tears began to trickle down his cheeks until they stopped at the base of his mask by his chin.

How he longed to see her once again... To hold her... To feel her soft touch upon his cheek..

"No! I mustn't think of such things!" he thought angrily to himself as he punched his fist into the wall before slowly pulling his hand back to his side leaving a small trace of blood as he quickly composed himself before walking down towards its lower levels.

He could spend an eternity remembering his sweet Lucilia but he knew there was still work to be done... still more blood to be shed. He knew he must speak to his master in order to find his next course of action.

"Don't worry my love you will be in my arms soon enough..." he said coldly as he began to descend the steps into the citadels lower levels.

Rayna, Anya, and Terra
Gatekeepers(Odin) and Keyblade Holder--Good
Nexen Under City

"About time!" Anya shouted, though whether or not the outburst was due to Terra finally putting her down or the Gravity spell dropping the Wyverns, or Amaya leading them away. However, the moment she was free from Terra, Anya went to town on downed Wyverns blocking her escape route, with Rayna and Terra tagging along behind.

"She's thankful, just moody. She doesn't like it when people help her in a fight like that, and she won't say thank you, but I will. Thank you for saving my sister. I'm Rayna." She said, turning a soft smile on Terra and then turning her gaze on Anya, who was running ahead.

"You're welcome, Rayna. I'm Terra." He offered as the smaller girl broke into an easy run, and he did the same.

"Nice to meet you. The timing could have been a bit better, as this situation is a bit new to us, but new people are always interesting to have around. Especially if they're helpful." Rayna replied, still smiling. Terra was taken a bit off guard. This girl was undeniably cheerful even in the face of danger, as well as kind, she reminded him of Ven. He couldn't shake the idea, and them he saw someone ahead that he swore he knew. The tall young man was running alongside another woman, long silver hair being the main thing that caught Terra's eye in the first place, he was now positive he knew the young man from...somewhere, but he just couldn't think of where from...

Sir Fratley
Dragon Knight
Good

"Then lead the way. I shall cover the rear and deal with the draconic creatures. The small dark monsters seem easy enough for you all to handle." Fratley replied. The others seemed to be skilled enough in combat and magic, but dealing with dragons and the like was his specialty. As a dragon knight, he could reach flying enemies with ease and had a better chance of surviving dangerous falls. Not only that, but his magics and combat skills were honed to specialize in battling monsters as powerful as Grand Dragons.

The Burmecian knew not of the world he was in, though he knew he was no longer on Gaia. Until a way back home could be found, he would have to ally himself with the humans. These creatures of darkness were an overwhelming threat were they to be able to enter Gaia as they did when he first encountered a small yet steady stream of them, but they were an obvious threat to those here in this world. And he would not allow anything that would be a threat to the kingdom of Burmecia to enter his world.

Isataxansa/Anastasia
Nobody stuck in the body of a Gatekeeper
Nexen Under City

A frown creased Isataxansa's face when she saw the new arrivals. Great, they were bound to get in her way. She dealt with two more Wyverns before she looked over to get a good look at the newcomers. Her eye widened and she gripped her whip in shock. Those were the Keyblade weilders!!!

Ranna screamed in her head, and both Anastasia and her Nobody flinched in pain from it. Keyblade! Key to Hearts! It hurt Heartless! It burn, it kill, getitawaygetitawaygetitawayGETITAWAY-- The mantra of shouting went on, as mindless and endless as a dog barking in the middle of the night. With an effort the both of them shoved the crazed Heartless into one of the deeper corners of their shared mind and let her scream to herself.

Once her howls became just background noise they could suddenly hear Amaya loud and clear, telling them that they needed to run. Anastasia agreed but Isa sniffed, as if offended. Please, I can deal with these nuisances. She reached a hand up the her face, her fingertips delicately brushing the fringe that completely covered her left eye. Well, in Anastasia's case her left eye would be a sickly yellow, like a Heartless', but with Isa in control there was no eye at all, but a decaying socket. She started to brush the bangs aside. I just need to reveal my eye. My powers will make them all shrivel into corpses in a minute. Any ot--HEY!! She flinched and let go of her hair as Anastsia quite suddenly took control.

"No, you won't," she muttered to herself, straightening her hair and hoping no one noticed anything. No one was supposed to know about her little problem, she tried to keep the existence of Ranna and Isataxansa a secret. She straightened up and started after Amaya, not wanting to be left behind because she was busy fighting parts of herself. "Thunder!" She called out, whipping her bolas around. Bluish sparks danced along the spikes and struck the Wyverns who were trying to get back up, dropping them again as the shock paralyzed them. She took shelter at the entrance to the tunnel and quickly popped off one of the bottles that had been strapped around the belts on her chest. It was a Mega-Ether, and she tossed it into the air. She used them because for some odd reason regular Ethers wouldn't replenish all of the magic of her different selves--something Isa used to complain about to no end--but now it would also heal the rest of the crew, thankfully.

Well don't you just have the bleeding heart, Isataxansa remarked caustically. She was never very happy when she lost control of the body.

Anastasia flinched, not out of tone but the choice of words, and she knew that had been Isa's intention. The fact that she lost her heart was always a sore spot for the three of them, and Isataxansa never heasitated to turn the memory into a weapon for her own purposes. She tried to ignore the snappish Nobody and caught up with the others, hoping that nothing looked wrong wth her.

((I think I channeled some Pokemon in here, wtheck.))

Jerald Itami
Evil Gatekeeper-Diablos
Nexen Citadel Spire-Lower Levels

To Jerald’s knowledge, nobody had ever been down to the base levels, which made him all the more eager to find out what the man wanted. As he approached the door to the lower levels, he could see nothing more than the white part of his boss’ mask. After the Masked Man thanked Jerald for coming on such short notice and explaining why it was Jerald who was summoned here, he motioned for Jerald to follow, which he happily did.

As they walked, the Masked Man began explaining the basis for his plan, which Jerald found very interesting. He had always assumed that Light and Darkness were the same exact thing as Dawn and Dusk, but the Masked Man had just said that was wrong. Jerald didn’t know whether he entirely believed that or not, and there was only one thought in his mind right now, If that’s the truth, then how does he know it?

He didn’t expect to end up on a walkway overlooking a room full of machines and cages. The Masked Man then proceeded to explain that his plan was, and it made enough sense to Jerald. However, he couldn’t help but notice that the man mentioned the Unversed within that explanation. “Heh, funny. I didn’t think there was anybody left in the outside world who knew about the Unversed.”

When the Masked Man turned to face him, Jerald got nervous; perhaps he had said something he shouldn’t have. He let out a sigh of relief as the man seemed to ignore his statement. "We need at least one more Keeper…and to find those who eluded me before…then we can open the Final Gate. Jerald, this is a duty that I entrust to you…"

Jerald seemed to forget his nervousness altogether, and let out a rather high-pitched laugh that one wouldn’t expect from a man of his stature. It almost sounded insane. Almost. “They’re somewhere in the Undercity, right?” He asked, his voice starting out as high-pitched, and - almost - insane as his laugh, but regained composure about half way through. As he asked this a Corridor a Darkness was opened behind him, it’s destination the Undercity. As soon as he had confirmed that his destination was indeed the Undercity, he was going to rush into the portal. He finally had something to do.

Amaya/Riku
Gatekeeper - Bahamut / Keyblade Weilder
Nexen Under City - Tunnel Entrance

Amaya ran as fast as she could and she was rather nimble for not being so athletic. She could hear footsteps behind her, knowing the others were following. She heard Rayna mention something about bad timing, which Amaya could agree to and not agree to. Timing was bad as in a bunch of random strangers came to their aid like they were hoping, bad timing was that they were being attacked by a bunch of wyvern heartless, and were now running for cover. Amaya turned a corner and jumped off a ledge, down into a puddle of water. She quickly pivoted and turned back into a dark tunnel with a dim set of lamps. Amaya stood just outside the entrance of the tunnel so that others wouldn't continue going forward and would go back. Riku stopped just before the ledge and looked back, watching as others would go past and down into the tunnel, and making sure Sora was following fine without any trouble. He saw one of the other members of the band of mysterious misfits carrying a keyblade and he couldn't help but know who that was. There was something important nagging on the back of his mind, but he couldn't think of it now, there wasn't much time for that.

"You're slowing' up Sora," Riku commented. "It hasn't been that long, you really slacked since the last time."

The last time being their events with Xemnas. That seemed like an eternity ago, but he remembered it well. Down below Amaya could hear everything as she made sure that nothing came from down deeper in the tunnel or from the street that lead into it. Sora…that name stuck in her head and rang like a thousand bells. No it couldn't of been.

Figuring that everything was safe enough up there, not a Wyvern in sight yet, Riku jumped down and joined the others in the tunnel, still holding the Road to Dawn in his hand for good measure. He wasn't liking the idea of more dank and dark but he had no idea where he was or how he got here and needed some answers. He stopped his thoughts when he found the lavender young woman looking at him with a slightly curious look.

"…you're…name is Riku isn't it?"

"Yeah…how do you know that?"

Amaya took a step back and started pacing back and forth in the tunnel entrance, muttering things to herself that just made Riku look at her like she had some sort of screw loose in her head. Finally Amaya stopped, unaware if anyone else or everyone else was down there now or not.

"You're going to find this insane but I've read about you, and Sora and al your adventures about the keyblade wielders." Amaya said.

Rku said nothing but the expression on his face was clearly saying 'yes I do find that insane…'

"Okay…there is a lot of explaining to do…and since I'm the one who is technically responsible for why you are all here…yeah." She started. "Anyway, first off, the reason I know about you and Sora and everyone else from a book is because we have a building here called the Grand Compendium. In it is a library of all stories said to be about adventures of heroes from the outside worlds. You were one of them…since everyone thought that keyblade wielders were no more after the wars…I read all about them and…yeah that's how I know you guys."

Riku was a bit dumbfounded, which rarely happened with him at all. "Okay…that's a lot to take in but I'll just go with it for now…"

"That's not everything I have to explain…" AMaya said a bit nervously. "Everyone here and alright?"

Amaya looked at her guardian crystal, which was barely giving off any light of its own.

"Damn…Bahamut is completely wiped out after that…Rayna, Anya, Anastasia, how are your beasts?" She asked. "I think opening the gate with them burnt them out a bit and attracted the Wyvern's to us."

Riku just stood and looked around for Sora, and looked at the rest of everyone who was there. He had a feeling this was going to be another one of those days again.

Masked Man
Evil Bad Guy
Nexen Citadel Spire - Lower Levels

The Masked Man looked at Jerald, ignoring his other comment but noting it anyway. He seemed to give a deep slight laugh at the gatekeeper's eagerness to go. Yes, they indeed were there, but the Under City was a vast maze of old history and shadows. It wasn't going to be easy to find them, even though the villain knew that Jerald would find them quickly. However, there had to be a certain way of doing it.

"Yes, but Jerald, confronting them directly will only fortify their ability to resist us." The Masked Man said firmly. "You carry with you Diablos…a key to this plan. Diablos is originally from another realm, similar to a Gate Hold; the plane of which actual Gates of Virtue exist. Use diablos to tip those scales in our favour…make the one who will try to oppose us lean towards that side…create a bigger shadow on their heels."

The Masked Man walked past Jerald as if to leave and let him go, but he stopped, not finished with what he wanted to explain.

"Do not confront them directly…one of the Gatekeepers will not join us indefinitely…one may…should you make their shadow's greater…you wear them down…bring us closer to the one we need. Also, I trust your abilities, but I do not want fate to try and squander you because you fight for me alone…"

He turned his face and 'looked at Jerald.

"Take Daigali with you and tell him that this is one step towards what he needs. He is to aid you." He instructed. "Remember, do not directly engage them unless you have to. It is too early to let them know our true intentions quite yet."

With that, the Masked Man left in the darkness, leaving behind a few final words.

"My trust is in you Jerald and Daigali…"

Sir Fratley
Dragon Knight - Good
Nexen Under City - Tunnel Entrance

As the main group of humans headed toward the tunnel, Fratley followed behind them, using jump attacks to bring down any wyverns that swooped in to attack him or the group. Once he reached an area where the humans turned into the tunnel, Fratley let loose with another of his dragoon spells at the encroaching hordes. Striking his bladed lance into the ground, Fratley used his magic to conjure up 6 elemental dragon spirits: water, fire, wind, earth, holy and dark. All six rushed forward, sweeping through the wave of heartless and wyverns. With the coast clear, Fratley retrieved his lance and headed into the tunnel.

Fratley walked up to the group and listened to Amaya's speech. So, she was the one responsible for what happened, but it was not an intentional attack on Gaia, but rather a call for help, and some of the heartless slipped through her spell. As she spoke of Keyblades, he noticed the weapons the ones called Sora and Riku possessed. They did in fact resemble a cross between a sword and a key.

"That explains some, but if you were only calling for Keyblade wielders, then why myself as well? I am no Keyblade wielder, but rather a dragon knight of Burmecia, and I fear the longer I am away from my world, the greater the danger my kingdom is in ever since Alexandria began building their military might for what I fear may be all out war." Fratley asked.
