Pokemon Colosseum: Bayleef, Quilava, or Croconaw?

After you fight the Shadow Makuhita in the Mayor's house, you then have to battle one of three trainer's to leave Phenac City. Each one has a different Shadow Pokemon, and they're the second evolved form of the three Johto starters. My question is, which one did you pick and why?

Bayleef is the one i picked.... why? well why not.....

Quilava, simply because Meganium doesn't learn a good moveset in the game, and there are too many fire-type pokemon in use anyways. On the other hand, most of the bosses have pokemon which are either super-effectve or resistanct to water types, so croconaw doesn't have the attack base it needs for the game.

I picked Quil. I got him to level 100 in the end, amazing mon.

Quilava. I loves me a good fire type =)

Bayleef, because I didn't know that going to a different entrance meant you got to choose otherwise. Took me about 4 playthroughs to finally work it out. :x

I chose quilava because when I got the game I had gotten an egg of the crocanaw and bayleaf from my friend, but I still haven't finished that game yet XD so yea..

I chose Quilava as I've always favored him as the Johto starter.

I'd pick Bayleef because Quilava isn't that good for a fire type and Croconaw is most like a physical sweeper than a special sweeper so water moves won't be so useful from him

Although Cyndaquil is my favourite Johto stater, I chose to snag Croconaw at the South exit of Phenac City. I thought Croconaw would be alot more useful, and also its defense looked pretty good.

Hes a giant Alligator, that is Blue.

Croconaw is a crocodile, Feraligtr is the giant alligator. But I agree, Croconaw is a boss.

The first time I played, I had no idea that we were supposed to choose or anything. xD So I ended up with Croconaw. It worked out well though. The second time I picked Bayleef because it's my fave of the three.
