Lesha Vinn Chronoki
Route 18
Neutral-Team Theta Leader

Wilds V.S. Tamed...The conflict of idiots.

It was just so petty! It was also extremely stupid, too, and it proved that Pokemon weren't smarter than humans after all; Humans, for centuries, had been fighting and fighting and fighting amoung themselves, sometimes for stuff like territory and resources, which is OK when needed, but when they're not needed at all, or when the conflict sparks because of some petty grudge going too far, Pokemon have always said to themselves, 'wow, they're so stupid! We'd never wage war over that!'

However, no war in all of history has EVER been made purely out of hate for something so stupid as the most differentiating racial feature for a species, Pokemon or Humans. For Humans, it's been meer grudges and sometimes overlooked outbursts of rage about Skin Color, but those periods were quickly done, and it never advanced to true war. However, the Tamed/Wilds split made by Pokemon did, indeed, advance to total war on all regions of the world. It wasn't just Unova-It was truly all of the world, Wilds and Tames duking it out in Johto, Fiore, The Sevii Islands, with no place left untouched, it was this idiotic and stupid conflict on the basis of race, something long declared by Pokemon as a universal whole to be the dumbest thing ever.

There were, however, a very small amount of Pokemon that still remembered that race was indeed the dumbest thing to wage war over. Like Lesha herself, and the group she gathered-Team Theta. They were going to be the Pokemon that truly revolutionized this world without humanity, craft the future with their bare hands, shape this world in ways even Legendary Pokemon could only dream of. Even Arceus would grow jealous at the works they would bring...Hopefully.

But first, they would have to wait until the world's stupidest conflict expired and died, so that they could craft society to it's greatest and brightest, having just been reduced to it's rubble for it's most pitiful reason. From Arty's perspective (and wording), that was the plan.

And that was also before they decided on their true course of action. They would change the world in ways Arceus would truly get jealous over-Lesha had that gut feeling about it. However, Arty's expectations that those of Team Theta would not be involved in the war was very, very wrong.

"Let's move, Pokemon!" Lesha barked to her cohorts. A battle could strike at any minute, and the wounded would need to be carried very far away from it, and the valuables quickly taken.

Arty, reloading her pistol-the only human weapon she carried on her person, and the only one she felt comfortable with-was quite keen on bringing additional ammunition. Very few Pokemon could withstand one well-aimed shot with a pistol. And those very few Pokemon could easily be taken down with two well-aimed shots. And neither side would appreciate having their supporters towed away from the conflict, only to resurface after it ended. They'd be in the crossfire of both sides, and none of Arty's sketched moves, aside from Extremespeed, were meant for combat. She needed something that was. And specifically ranged combat, because she wasn't built for direct, close-range combat either (but rather slapping foes with status conditions while healing herself).

Lesha groaned on hearing the explamation for why she carried a gun at all, as she hated the concept of it. Humans needed to have something to kill themselves with at all times-of course. She did not complain about how Arty was a very good shot with that pistol, though. She didn't complain about anybody's fighting skill-even the super-arrogant and crazy Wyldfyre (and his general strategy of using large-range attacks, even at the cost of hitting allies), and the so-sleepy-he-couldn't-stay-awake-for-4-hours Karazin (whose main weakness was that, indeed, he slept more than the average Abra ever would in a day). In fact, it was the whole reason they could go out in the crossfire to save lives and take whatever the Tames and Wilds decided to ignore-because they could fight, and they could fight very, very good.

That, and Lesha was very, very good at getting Karazin awake, and keeping him awake for a whooping 16 hours.

"WAKE UP, YOU LAZY NIT!" Lesha screeched at Karazin, snapping him awake from slumber.

"...Oh, is a battle all but certian brewing?" Karazin sleepily yawned. He was consious.

"Yep. Tame's have gotten wind of Wilds planning to open the bridge to attack Nimbasa City during the night." Leko said. Leko, out of all of them, was indeed the true voice of reason of the group-Arty's reasoning was good, but was practically in code her metaphors and similies were that tricky to decipher, and Lesha was outwardly just too bossy to be that.

"Yep, yep, that's why we're getting ready to go to Route...Uhh, Route 5, I reckon." Holk said.

"YHEA!" Wyldfyre yelled. "This is our first time doing this, so don't hold me up!" He added.

"Idiot, you should be the one not holding the rest of us up!" Lesha yelled.

"Yhea...The Tame's supposed strategy is to let the Wild's into the route, but hide several groups in the bush to ambush them before they breach the city." Arty said. "A cunning deception, to bait them into coming, but trap them before truly doing damage." She added, in her needed artful reconfiguration. "And for the record, they don't know what's coming-the whole of the wilds in a single outburst, or just a small infiltration group. We could be considered a small infiltration group by them, so don't let us get caught with a showcasing of idiotic yelling." Arty said. "Our goal is to save the souls on the brink of demise from both sides, not wittle their number down further."

"Yhea, and we're here to help the wounded, not kill them." Lesha said, unwittingly repeating what Arty just said.

Doc, Grovyle
Nimbasa City

Doc cursed, coughed, then cursed again while trying to shake the grit from his lab coat. Realizing the coat was already pretty far gone, he grudgingly dropped the matter from his mind. He hated crossing that sandstorm-ridden expanse between here and his preferred home, Castelia. The sand always burned his eyes and ruined his coats while the wind tried to steal his notes. He sighed, then dug a pen from one of his pockets and chewed it thoughtfully.

Why were there so many Pokemon here again? He tried to remember. It had been far to early in the morning when he was summoned to Nimbasa. Staying up so late trying to get that PC to work probably wasn't the best idea. Perhaps he made a note somewhere? He dug again through his pockets, pulling out a digital watch, a Xtransceiver, and a TM or two before pulling out a sheet of paper covered in his overly-large scrawl. Note: Recon Duty and preparations, Nimbasa City and Route 5. He looked past the assembled Tamed and towards the wooded Route 5. He was truly at home in the forest. Well, maybe not, but he was really fast as long as there were some trees around to jump around.

He'd gotten his natural agility back after some brief, one-sided encounters in Wild territory, but he wished he still had more of his fighting instinct intact. He traced the scar near his right eye, then struck what he thought was a combat stance. He thought it looked ridiculous, and sighed again as he headed towards route 5. He hoped this war would be over soon, one way or another. All this fighting didn't suit him. He was a scientist, after all.

Asharas, AKA Ashe, Charmeleon
Outside Black City

'So...there was me...and...Cayci...no, Dancer...wait, yes both of them...'

Asharas grew more frustrated in her head as she tried to determine where her other comrades could of gone. She was very capable of handling things alone, however she missed her fellow team mates, and going into wild territory alone wasn't going to be easy. She shut her hidden home up and covered it back up so that no one would find it, her golden scales turning blackish from the soot. She didn't bother to dust herself off and went on hr way out to Route 15.

She knew she could take her time while in Tame territory, but once she hit the bridges is where things usually got crazy. Some neutral Pokemon sometimes thought of Pokemon on either side a threat and made hostile the way across the bridges. Asharas was a single Pokemon however, so usually, she got by looking either bold or crazy when she was simply just passing through.

Asharas had one mission, and that was to find out where her human trainer had gone, and to find the rest of her friends. Black City was hr only safe hold right now so she knew that until something changed, it was going to be a lot of walking. She tightened her bandana around her neck and started her move towards the Marvellous Bridge.

It wasn't too marvellous anymore.

Lesha Vinn Chronoki, Pikachu
Route 18, En-Route to Route 5.
Neutral-Team Theta Leader

Lesha personally liked the base. The only entrance was hidden under a large, pleatu-like area, behind several bushes, out of the way. No human had ever found it before, and no Pokemon inhabited it prior, making it an obvious choice. They made it a space where things could live, using the natural foods Route 18 provided and an abandoned water filter to make sure they weren't starving or dying of thirst. They used the stuff from the sole abandoned house on the top of the pleatu to make beds, sturdy furniture, and other things. For now, it remained secret from the Tames, which was good, as 3 of their members were Wilds, and at least half of the Tames Lesha spied on had no care for whether a Wild was actually against the Tames or not, just whether it was a Tame or a Wild.

Lesha was outside right now, and the sun cast shadows westbound-Midnight was just eight or seven hours from now. They had to get moving quickly. Fortunatly, the Six of Team Theta were ready to move out.

One could see a problem, though-How does one get off an Island to go to Unova's Mainland, with a fire-type that can't have his tail put out, or else he dies? Simple-have a boat. Lesha and her fellow teammates constructed one out of wood to get to Route 18 to begin with, and she knew it would come in handy in the long run to get off Route 18. This boat was built larger than it was originally intended for, able to put 9 Pokemon inside it without a problem, and two wooden bars at the back for Karazin and Holk to hold onto while propelling the boat forward. And Sails, too.

Lesha, Arty, Wyldfyre and Leko positioned themselves in the boat, Wyldfyre making sure his tail wasn't close to anything that could burn (He wasn't that stupid). Meanwhile, Karazin and Holk were at the back, ready to push the boat and act as additional propulsion. Today, the wind blew northbound, a lucky thing indeed for them.

"Alright then, everyone, let's get going!" Lesha said-the words that Holk and Karazin took as the que to get the boat moving. They pushed off with all their strength, and started to get moving, thankful for the wind going in their general direction.

Kemp (Pikachu)
Route 4, En Route to Nimbasa City
Tame

"Dang it, where's that oasis. I should have hit it a while ago", complained a scruffy Pikachu that seemed out of place among the sandy dunes. He squinted across the dunes to check for signs of water, but for miles nothing was visible but sandy dunes and ripples in the air.

That day had been a particularly unbearable one, because it was one of those days when the wind was blowing right into Kemp's face, kicking up the gritty sand that got managed to get tangled in Kemp's fur. The grains in his eyes were particularly pesky, sometimes getting behind the goggles he had scavenged among the ruins of Castelia City. He had no explanation as to how it was happening, but he wasn't going to think about it now. He was focused on finding the oasis, where he could fill up on Berries and water for the next leg of the trip.

Kemp couldn't help but wish that the highway that was supposed to cut through the desert had been finished. Unfortunately, the humans had disappeared before they finished construction, so crossing the desert was a long and grueling journey by foot, exacerbated by slippery slopes, punishing heat, and the occasional sandstorm that blew through the area.

"Water!", Kemp cried as he found the oasis he had been looking for. Taking the red headband wrapped around his head off, he ran towards the small pool of water, filled with relief that he had not passed it. It was an area that only he knew about, his little secret spot where he could rest and prepare for the journey ahead. Dunking his head in the clear water, he pulled it out nice and refreshed. He then put his backpack and headband down beside him, pulling out a small plastic bottle. He plunged this under the water, allowing it to fill with the precious liquid. Once this was done, the bottle was sealed with a cap and placed back inside the bag.

Kemp then decided to rest underneath a palm tree that grew beside the oasis. Contented by the shade of the tree's shadow, Kemp took the time to rest.

Kemp was headed to Nimbasa City because he had heard of the growing troubles that were brewing in the region. With the driving out of Tame Pokemon from Driftveil City by wild hordes, the last bastion of Tame power and order in the West had fallen. Many Tame Pokemon were now trapped on that side since the Driftveil Bridge had been closed to prevent Wild Pokemon from pushing into the east, and Kemp had decided he could at least try and help some get across the West Channel to the safety of the tame areas.

So he decided to leave Pinwheel Forest, where he had been living comfortably for a while, and began his journey over to Nimbasa City. He crossed Skyarrow Bridge that same day, stayed a night in Castelia City, and then headed out into the desert.

As he got up from his spot in the shade, he noticed that the sun was beginning to set behind the dunes. He would need to make a camp and stay here for the night, and depart next morning. Picking some fallen palm leaves off the ground, he gathered them in a pile. He then dug a small pit in the sand, and through the leaves in. Finally, he lit up his cheeks with small crackles of electricity, putting it to the leaves. Eventually a small plume of smoke began coming out of the leaves, and blowing on that he managed to make a small but stable fire. Satisfied with the little camp he had made, he found a comfortable place in the sand beside the fire and put his head down for the day. Within minutes, he was asleep...

Eifi the Espeon
Marvelous Bridge; En Route to Route 16
Neutral

It was a typical day almost as a shadow lurked on the once "Marvelous" Bridge. She sat alone under one of the large pillars watching the commotions of wild Pokemon V.S. tamed Pokemon. It was all the same; every day this went on. Nothing serious came out of their squabbles but it was enough to draw in their comrades for an all out brawl. Sighing, the shadow walked into the light of the partly hidden sun, her coat glimmering with radiance - she was an Espeon, one of the treasured eeveelutions; something ALL humans wanted. No one seemed to care anymore though...

Hey! Espeon, get over here! We need another member!" A gruff voice called out; sounding male.

Eifi turned her head carelessly over her shoulder, shooting a glance at an Unova native - Excadrill. His coat was dirty and obviously abused. Eifi let out a smirk, slowly standing and turning herself towards him strutting closer, "What is that? You need... another member? For what, may I ask?" She purred, twisting her tail around her victim in a seducing manner.

The Excadrill was taken back, sweating softly as he blinked fast, regaining the will to speak as he straightened up, "For the attack, ma'am. We need another wild to help with the take over of Nimbasa City. I was sent here with a few other's to recruit. We need all we can salvage and, my, oh, my..." he paused as Eifi grew closer.

Eifi kept her sassy smirk as she sat in front of him, twisting her tail around both his arms and the back of his neck, "And, let's say I join this expedition of helping your cause... what's in it for me?" She innocently purred, whispering in his ear.

The Excadrill huffed his chest out and grew hot as he put out a fake laugh, "Well...! I bet we could find something for you after we take over Nimbasa." He grinned, putting a claw around the Espeon.

Eifi suddenly looked disgusted - her smirk no longer there, "Really?" she mumbled, standing - now trying to back away. The Excadrill only tightened his grasp, "Release me!" She hissed, trying to tug her body out of his grasp - to no avail.

"No, because, like I said - we need more members, and you look supple enough to fight." The Excadrill grinned, putting his other claw upon the Espeon, pulling her close.

Eifi rolled her eyes, "Boys are all the same... I warned you... She hissed between her clenched teeth, her lavender eyes growing a darker shade of purple. Eifi closed her eyes for only a second, taking one, quick breath as her body began to glow. Suddenly, the Excadrill howled in pain as a barrier surrounded the Espeon and as he let go of her body, falling back. Eifi looked at him with that infamous sassy smirk - her whole body was covered with a glimmering, almost transparent barrier, "Light Screen."

Asharas, AKA Ashe, Charmeleon
Edge of Marvelous Bridge

Asharas kept low and out of sight from the other Pokemon who made their home just before Marvelous Bridge. Whenever she was seen she made herself look as peaceful as possible, which wasn’t too hard. The Charmeleon noticed though that the Fearow seemed a bit on edge about something. She was just happy not to run into any Tyranitar, as if they were on edge, she wouldn’t of tolerated her presence what so ever.

As Asharas neared the gate, she expected someone to be guarding it, but there were no Pokemon. Not even from the neutral side of this conflict. Suspecting something was up ahead, she proceeded with caution. The Charmeleon went through the doors and found no one in the gate. Looking over at the electric sign board, nothing was displayed on it. That meant someone had been here to shut it off somehow. She was starting to get one of those bad feelings with her often correct intuition.

Asharas checked every nook and cranny around the gate for anything useful or any Pokemon trying to ambush her. Finding nothing, she knew that it was time to head outside.

Poking her head slowly out of the gate, Asharas saw that there indeed were Pokemon on the bridge, but they were all preoccupied with something. She looked from the main structure to the beams that held up everything. There were a pair of Swanna and a Braviary watching from the heights. To her dismay, the Braviary was not familiar to Asharas, hoping it was an older one known as Cowaru. However she didn’t seem to have the time to give everyone a quick facial check. There was something amidst all of them.

Asharas walked out towards the bridge, looking at what was so intriguing that they all needed to be focusing their attention on. After a space being made in the crowd from fighting over a better view was made, the shiny Charmeleon saw it. A female Espeon using Light Screen, and an Exadrill who she didn’t assume was just taking a nap.

The coat of the Espeon glittered and shone in the sunlight, Asharas compared her to an Espeon her trainer had known as Gemini who would keep his coat to that luster. Being a female Espeon, Asharas could only guess what that Exadrill was trying to do.

‘So much for getting over the bridge without a fight...’

Asharas took one step on the bridge and the onlooking crowd seemed to turn immediately, as if some sort of alarm went off in their minds.

“Excuse my rudeness but don’t you think it’s a little unruly to gang up on an Espeon--”

“It’s a TAMED.”

Before Asharas could finish one of the native Marowak had impulsively thrown his bone weapon at her from a far distance. Rolling her eyes, she watched the projectile, a rather poorly thrown one by her standards, and caught it at just the right moment. She swung herself around and threw it right back at the bone keeper Pokemon, nailing him right in the stomach.

“It’s rude to not let people finish speaking, and I did apologize for the intrusion.” the shiny Charmeleon commented in a rather unimpressed tone of voice. “Now again, ganging up on an Espeon, really now? That just screams desperation like an angry Golbat. Though I suppose that if that Exadrill was knocked down by one attack, maybe you’d have to tag team up on her to have a chance, but that’s hardly decent.”

Kemp (Pikachu)
Route 4, En Route to Nimbasa City
Tame
June 15th, 10:00 AM

Kemp woke up that warm desert morning ready to move. He had slept somewhat uncomfortably on the sands of Route 4, which were pebbly and pointed. Dusting himself up, he checked his stuff. He hadn't lost anything during the night, so he was happy. He didn't like thieves, especially due to an awkward encounter with a pick-pocketing Mandibuzz one fateful night. Fortunately the bird hadn't been able to take more than a couple of berries, but he was more careful about his stuff after that experience.

Picking up and leaving the oasis for the second leg of the trip, he traveled across the second leg of the desert in a hardly eventful two hours. The desert was kind to him that day, and the desert wind wasn't as powerful as yesterday. By 11:00 AM he managed to reach the road on the other side of the desert, and he reached Nimbasa City by noon.

Kemp was surprised to see Nimbasa more bustling than usual with activity as he walked through the terminus. Pokemon were moving food stores and drilling their attacks. Ever since the capture of Driftveil, Nimbasa had been preparing for the waves of Wild Pokemon that would assail the city.

Pulling into an alleyway to a nearby fireplace, Kemp sat down with a group of Pokemon who were discussing the recent events. They included a Pansear, an Electrode, and a Gengar. Kemp decided not to say much, but to listen.

"Those wild Pokemon are mad I tell you", was the first sentence Kemp heard, coming from the mouth of the Electrode sitting next to him.

"They've attacked and pillaged cities across the Western Side of Unova, and they won't stop until we have nowhere left to go", he continued, closing his eyes as if the thought was enough to hurt him.

"It's not looking good. Small bands of wilds have been seen trickling in from the east too, supposedly carrying out small raids on the cities over there", the Pansear added in, before throwing an old newspaper into the fire to keep it burning.

"Bands in the east you say,", Kemp started, "How'd they manage it?"

"We don't know", the Pansear replied, "but we believe they are trying to eventually surround us. With those small bands in the east and the whole horde in the west, I don't more how much more we can take. Already there's word that they are going after Nimbasa. If we can't manage to make a stand here, I don't know what's next."

After that sentence, Kemp decided to get up and walk around for a bit, to collect his thoughts. The news of the impending attack had forced Kemp to rethink his plans. Nimbasa was the center of the Tame Pokemon territory. If the Wilds managed the capture it, the Tame territories would be split in two. Divide and conquer.

Kemp decided it would be best to lend a hand in the defense of the city. Until Nimbasa was safe he would have to put off any further excursion.

So with his course of action decided, Kemp began towards the west side of Nimbasa, where the preparations of defense had begun.

Doc
Route 5

Doc's eyes grudgingly opened to a close up view of short grass. He bolted to his feet, or at least he tried to. With a booming ring his head collided with the I-Beam being carried over his head, sending him back to the ground. "owowowowowow..." murmured Doc, rolling across the ground away from the two Gurdurr, who shrugged and continued hauling the beam to its position in the barricade being constructed halfway down the route. Doc stood and picked his pen off the ground and set it back in his jaws. "Must have passed out..." he thought. Crossing the desert must have worn him out more than he expected.

He gazed up at the sun, still cradling his throbbing skull. Judging from sky, it was probably just before noon. He cast a glance down the stretch of the route and began to walk to where the defenses were coming along. Walking closer, he examined what he thought were barricades earlier. Upon closer inspection, the dense walls of wood and metal seemed to be moveable from their current location. Being constructed by several teams of Fighting-types (with several other various pokemon gathering supplies and lifting tools about), the constructs seemed incredibly durable. Doc couldn't decide if they were supposed to be guard towers or some kind of wall trap. Regardless, he figured he'd wasted enough time being unconscious and might as well start thinking of ways to help the cause.

Leaping from the ground to the higher boughs of one of the trees that flanked the side of the route, he saw the raised drawbridge at the end of the route. Past that bridge were lands he'd never seen. "I wonder if there's any way across the bridge that wouldn't involve lowering it?" thought Doc. If he could scout out the area across the bridge and get some details on the enemy force, they could be better prepared for when the attack came. He remained perched in the tree, planning a way to cross the bridge...

X (Weavile)
Opelucid City, En Route toward Route 8
Wild
June 15th, 10:00 AM

X rolled back and forth on his rock hard bed. He raised a claw to scratch an unsettled itch on his right eye. It had been a rough night and that was being modest. The Tame Pokémon had launched a small attack on X's part of the city. They had assaulted his fort, Fort X. The fort was set ablaze and was now in ruins. The fort symbolized X's hard work in protecting the City and now...now it was nothing but a pile of scraps. X punched the side of his bed, nearly tearing it with his razor sharp claws. X was fed up with the Tame Pokémon. They claimed they were peaceful and yet they still fought an unorthodox war. War was something humans used to engage in. X was not neutral though. The Tamed had crossed a feint line. They had killed two of his closest allies. X rolled onto his back looking up into the soot filled sky. The clouds choked on the gray smoke that came from a small fire not far away. X turned onto his side. He examined the fire. It was an enticingly dangerous red color. The fire jumped as the wind blew by. X's memory kicked in and he recollected the event the other day in which his fort was set ablaze. X stood as the fort crumbled. The fire was not subjective; it destroyed everything in its path. The fire was strange. It was fueled by anger but rather by a divine force. Had it been a legendary Pokémon? Impossible. What legendary Pokémon would get involved in such a petty war? The fire was clearly unorthodox. Its power was incredible; the fire was nothing a regular fire type Pokémon could start. X grabbed his black bandana and placed it around his slick neck. He tied it tightly and smirked.

"Are you awake?" X asked; his question was directed toward a Pokémon which lay against a brick wall. The two Pokémon were in a dark alley that was full of stolen material.

"Barely...What would you like my king?" a voice responded. The voice came from an Absol which now stood up erect.

"We need to leave the city. I believe that the fire was a sign...No an omen...We must leave at once. It is not safe and more importantly we are needed elsewhere. We must go to Nimbasa," X said recollecting the fire set at Fort X.

X stood up from his rock bed. He took a glance at Absol. He had been a loyal servant to the Klang Gang. X decided he would allow Absol to come with him on his journey. X yawned. He inhaled air like a Snorlax inhaling food. It was early but this was the time of the day that X enjoyed the most.

"We will also recruit members to the Klang Gang, if possible, on the way. Dark Pokémon only!" X exclaimed. X grabbed a bike he had stolen from a young trainer a while ago. It was fast. The humans called it a Mach Bike. Its black trim truly complimented X's dark Weavile skin. Absol was fine with having to run. He said that he would use agility to raise his speed to its maximum. X led the way out of the city. They took alleyways to avoid being seen. They moved like shadows. They became shadows. Navigating the tight back ways was tough. The walls seemed as if they were going to collapse on the two speeding Pokémon. Finally the darkness gave into a bit of streaming light. The city was behind them now. A sign to the right read Route 9. It seemed as if a motorcycle had pulled up to a small household. The motorcycle was left parked outside. It was oddly left running. X smirked and looked at Absol who was thinking of the same thought. X felt that with the humans gone there were so many new opportunities. The Biker must have disappeared while on his bike (a strange thought).

"Time to get to Nimbasa City! There the Tamed Pokémon would feel the wrath of the King of Darkness," X laughed as he and the Absol drove down Tubeline Bridge at roaring speeds

Kemp (Pikachu)
Route 5
Tame
June 15th, 11:30 AM

Just think of it Kemp. Tomorrow we will be in Nimbasa City, the heart of Unova. Sports, Musicals, so much to do and see! It's going to be great Kemp! Just you wait and see!

Those were the last words Kemp had heard his trainer speak. Bill had been so excited that day, and Kemp had been too. That first day in Castelia City had been his best and his last day with Bill. He could remember exactly all the hustle and bustle of people rushing around, the lights and the sounds, and even the smells of that day. Then, with a single flash, it was gone.

Kemp was thinking of this as he walked down the abandoned roads of Nimbasa City. He took about 30 minutes crossing the city, memories of that one day flashing through his head over and over. He didn't want to forget Bill, and he tried to keep his memory alive. It was all that was left of him.

----------

Exiting the West Terminus, Kemp had decided to check out the east end of the city towards the Driftveil Bridge. Any major assault on Nimbasa would come from this side of the city, so it was being heavily fortified by Fighting Type Pokemon, who were constructing barricades out of the parts of old construction products. Boldore and Gurdurr lifted the heavy steel beams from the old sites and onto a makeshift barricade that split Route 5 in half.

Kemp ducked through a small hole in this barricade with ease considering his side, hoping to reach the river's edge for a better view of the other side.
Walking across the cracked pavement, he crossed through an old fairground, where the tents and trailers were still standing, as if the flash had happened yesterday. He was weary of these quiet places, since he had been ambushed in areas much like that one.

He made haste walking through the abandoned fair and moved onto the Driftveil Bridge, which at the moment was lifted to prevent any Pokemon from crossing it. There was a few Pokemon standing guard at the bridge controls, which were accessible from both sides. Either side could have the bridge open at any time. However, once the bridge was dropped from either side, you had to use that same controls to lift the bridge again.

Kemp wanted a better view of Driftveil City closer to the river, so he decided to step off the road and over to a solitary tree that grew by the side of the river. As he neared the tree he beheld an interesting sight. In one of the upper branches was another Pokemon not native to this region, a Grovyle who was looking across the river, deep in thought. He wore the garments of a human, a scientist to be exact. It was beaten up badly, but he continued to wear the rag, perhaps out of the memory of a former trainer.

Kemp could already tell that this Grovyle wanted to cross the river. He seemed intently focused on that side, deep in thought about how to manage it without using the bridge. Kemp was no psychic, but he could read other Pokemon well using his intuition. He used this to tell the motives of Pokemon he dealt with, and whether they were innocuous or malevolent.

Clambering up the tree somewhat nosily, Kemp came next to the Grovyle, focusing his view on the skyline of Driftveil City.

"I see you seem interested in crossing the Driftveil River. I might be able to help you. The names Kemp, and if you want to get across safely, I'm your guy. You'll get pretty wet though. Actually, make that very wet", Kemp began, hoping to strike up a conversation. He held out his tiny hand to the green lizard, trying to make him as comfortable as possible with his sudden interruption of thought.

Brute the Hydreigon
Route 5-En route to Nimbasa
Wild
June 20th, 11:25 AM
"Time for Nimbasa city to feel my wrath" Brute made his way of destruction towards Nimbasa City's defenses. He felt the need to sneak up to obliterate their defense before making a wave of terror on the tamed pokemon. He had to think carefully about where he should hide since his dark black, his magnificent blue and his fiery maroon. He then saw a speeding Weavile as fast a rocket with an Absol following on foot. He was intrieged to follow the duo and find out their intentions.

He finally caught up and spyed on their interesting conversation. He heard a few words like Klang, Tamed, Darkness, Nimbasa and King. He tried to put them together and thought that they said something like this. We will use Klinklang to help the tamed pokemon at Nimbasa for I am the King of Darkness. He was determined to stop them from reaching Nimbasa by beating them then destroy the defenses by blasting it.

Alice Card ♀
Neutral Meowth
On the shore of the Driftveil River, Nimbasa Side

Alice sat on the shore, lapping her sodden fur dry with a sandpaper tongue. Her bag had gotten a bit damp during the crossing, but none of her medicinal supplies had been damaged - thank Arceus - and the large pouch was now drying slowly in the sunlight.

Beside her in the grass sat Nick, her close friend and self-appointed guardian. He was checking his precious cane for water, his nimble yellow paws scanning the surface quickly. When he found no water, he reached into his own bag - a small black pouch made of leather, with zippers to keep it sealed - and pulled out his belt, which he had kept in the bag to prevent it from getting damaged. Alice continued to wash herself as he buckled it on, making it fast with the little wooden clasp that Nick had whittled to look like a Spinarak, for some unfathomable reason.

"Good thinking with that raft, Nick," Alice purred, casting her eyes back to the shore. Nick had used his tail to cut down several Oran saplings, which had bark that was good and light. Alice had helped him lash these together to form a sort of boat, filling the cracks with river clay. The piddly boat was sitting on the bank, looking almost sad.

"Pity it won't be useful again," Nick commented. He tugged his knife out of the belt, inspecting that. When he found it dry he put it away. "We worked hard on it."

"Not so," Alice replied. She stood up suddenly, getting down on all fours and stretching to the tips of her claws. Her very whiskers shook with the movement. "We can tell any Pokemon we see in the city that we have a little boat; it's not much, it should be able to get at least some Pokemon through the water - emergency messengers, hunters, et cetera."

Nick blinked in surprise. "Good point," he said.

Alice nodded. "It's what I'm here for." She smiled graciously, then chanced a glance in Driftveil's direction. To her relief, there were no Pokemon for yards - the control booth wasn't far back but rather far to their right. Alice wasn't quite ready to meet any other Pokemon just yet.

"So what are you planning on doing in Nimbasa?" asked Nick.

Alice shrugged. What I always do. I'm going to try to help Pokemon and spread the love of Arceus. I've also got to tell whoever is currently in charge that we spotted at least four dozen Wild Pokemon camped near here, battle-ready."

Nick nodded somberly. They had seen a lot of Pokemon, all of them scruffy and all of them Wild, hiding out in the woods just before the river. Nick had listened in on them, and he had told Alice that they were discussing battle plans and attack strategies - where it was best to fight, and whom to kill first. The thought of it made Alice shudder.

If Driftveil is going to be attacked, she thought, then I want to be there to help them. She knew that a lot of wounded Pokemon came here for supplies, and to seek healing. If it weren't for the fact that Alice thought that her help should go to all equally, then she would probably had just settled there long ago with Nick. She fingered her Rayquaza necklace - her one memento of Natalie Card. She shivered slightly from more than just the chill of being waterlogged.

She looked over at Nick, surprised to see that the Pikachu was staring at a tree not far off. Already perched in the tree was what appeared to be a Grovyle in an extremely weather-beaten white coat; a Pikachu wearing a piece of red cloth on its head and a sack on its back was scampering noisily up the trunk. Alice tensed, readying her claws in case the strangers were hostile. Beside her, Nick pulled his cane out of the place it sat when he wasn't using it - on his back, between furry flesh and the leather strap - and held it in readiness so that he could simply start attacking should the need arise.

Lesha the Pikachu
En-Route to Route 5, EST 12:00 PM, June 15th
Neutral, Team Theta Leader.

Lesha had far more of a speed boost than she originally guessed. The wind blew fast, the natural water current went northbound, and the additional propulsion from Karazin and Holk, all made it possible for the whole trip to be interday-she long presumed that the sun would set before then, but the distance was far shorter than she realized, and their speed was far faster than she guessed.

Then, suddenly, what she knew would happen, well, happened. The sure sound of Karazin's snoring meant that he fell asleep-not from the work of pushing the boat, which was greatly eased by the favorable conditions, but by simply the warmth of the water being equal to a good bed. Lesha could never truly comprehend the full amount of Karazin's odd sleeping habits, but she knew one of them was that he was impossible to wake by any external means other than naturally waking up while submerged in water.

"Holk, Stop!" Lesha yelled, with Holk immediatly following orders. Lesha grabbed Karazin's arm, pulled him up onto the boat, and did her thing.

"WAKE UP, YOU LAZY NIT!!" Lesha yelled directly into Karazin's ear. Karazin, albeit awake, still looked quite sleepy. After one yawn, he immediatly realized the situation, and immediatly resumed his post.

And the team carried on from there, admiring the beautiful coral formations Unova had to offer...Yet no human ever found.
