So. I'm back. Finally. A little bit more on writing tips and how to write a story. I mean, you can write a story but that doesn't mean that it'll be good. Not that anyone's perfect. Get what I mean? Off the topic. I've been looking around

Oh lord I have been guilty, guilty, guilty of the bottom two ._. I mean I think I can kill someone with dreams and backstory XD I am in love with details, and thus, my sunsets are forever doomed to shine the last bits of rays of hope before a battle field before the endless night consumes all to many of the last of the pokians to the dream that is on the verge of being forgotten by a land soon to be tamed by development that claims to be of all life and yet secretly takes all beings underground and then turns them into yummie gummi snacks to sell across the boundless ocean where our hero may visit several times just for the sake of plot and.....oh my, I should never assume the reader knows everything

She wasn't saying the last one was a bad thing, just that it could be done badly. Really, nearly anything could, it's all about how you do it.
I know many of my favorite writers go off into endless detail sometimes, but they do it with a very active voice. Sometimes they even make fun of themselves. I find that very interesting to read.

I love flashbacks, not in the way where you just flashback, but the way they do it in movies: Where a scene or something that adds ether info or emotional weight to the here and now is actually skipped over very much on a thinking level, and then is weaved back in at high points to flesh out the tone :3.
Those are the sort of flashbacks I use very often, since they are active and dramatic, not just, say, a tiny flash with the sound of gunfire and screaming...
