Trading pokemon using VBA on PC?

I tried this guide http://endlessparadigm.com/forum/sho...d.php?tid=1899 to trade my pokemon but it doesn't work for me :( I'm already doing all the steps in that guide but it still won't work.I have no problem with the games,but when I try to trade, my character just sit there waiting for connection? nothing happened. Does anyone know how to fix this? :( I tried to use a different version of VBA but the different version of VBA(I got it from here http://vbalink.info/download-gba-emulator.htm ) can't seem to be able to load my saved game, it keep bringing me to a new game :( I need to trade because I want my Onix and Machoke to evolve for Elite Four.

Please help me! :(
