[RP] The Secrets of Fells Church PG-13 (edited and redone)

“It’s hard to believe this is actually happening…” Kiseki said softly as Kotomi nodded.

“I’m worried about Ichiru… if he’s not compelled anymore, what is he going to do when Klaus gives him an order? What if he disobeys and Klaus kills him or someone else?” Kotomi asked.

“Quite a handful of people have died due to the sacrifice.” Damon said as he looked out the window. “But the only person who is going to die tonight is Klaus.” Damon paused as he looked down at his watch, bringing Caroline and Jeremy to look over at the kitchen clock as it read five minutes passed eleven. Damon then turned back to the group, clearly seeing the determination on his face. “Tonight Klaus gets a stake through his heart.”

“No one else that we care about is going to die.” Jeremy said, slipping the small bottle of ashes in one jean pocket while putting the dagger in the other, making the end of his shirt fall over the dagger so it was completely concealed.

“Let’s all get ready.” Caroline said, turning and walking up the stairs to get on her shoes and a sweatshirt.


“I would have. I told you before, I’m crazy enough to get into stuff like this on my own.” Ichiru responded to Ashley with a soft chuckle, bringing her to smile. He paused for a few moments, wrapping his arms around the brunette tightly, though he didn’t hurt her at all. “I really don’t want you to have to go through this… I wish we could avoid the entire thing. You’ve had to suffer so much because of all of this…” Ashley wrapped her arms around Ichiru as well and held him close to her, resting her head on his chest where she could hear his slow heartbeat.

“Like I always say, everything will be okay.” Ashley spoke softly. “Once this is all over with we can live our lives, start a family of our own and create little children who will be a handful.” Ashley chuckled at the last part, wishing the future would come sooner.

At exactly eleven fifteen Klaus came walking through the door, though Ashley made sure to had release Ichiru by then as she was looking out the window, turning her attention towards Klaus as he had a smirk on his face.

“It’s time.” Klaus said as he walked over to the brunette. “I need your ring.”

“W-what?” Ashley was clearly shocked as she looked down at the Lapis Lazuli ring on her right ring finger.

“You won’t need it for the sacrifice since I’m giving you my blood.” Klaus said as Ashley quickly looked up at him.

“But if I have your blood in my system when I die and if I don’t have the ring on then I’ll come back as a Vampire.” Ashley said, bringing Klaus to nod. “I don’t want to change into a Vampire! I’m not ready to yet! I’m still mentally recovering from the first time!” Ashley cried as tears began to pool her eyes.

“Give me your ring.” Klaus growled, his eyes flashing angrily. The two stared at each other for a few moments, bringing Ashley to reach defeat as she took off her ring and gave it to Klaus, who looked over to Ichiru. “Hold onto her ring and make sure nothing happens to it. She’ll need it after when she turns into a Vampire.” Klaus said as he handed Ichiru the ring. “Now let’s go.” Klaus said, turning and walking outside as Ashley followed silently.

“Quite a handful of people have died due to the sacrifice.” Kiseki and Kotomi looked at Damon as he spoke, his gaze on the window. “But the only person who is going to die tonight is Klaus.” He paused to look down at his watch, the rest of them looking over to the kitchen clock to see that it was already five minutes passed eleven. When the siblings looked back to Damon, he had a clearly determined look on his face. “Tonight Klaus gets a stake through his heart.”

“No one else that we care about is going to die.” Jeremy added, slipping the small bottle of ashes in one jean pocket while putting the dagger in the other, making the end of his shirt fall over the dagger so it was completely concealed.

“Let’s all get ready.” Caroline said before turning and heading back upstairs. Kiseki followed, retrieving his hoodie and shoes from his own room as the blonde put on a sweatshirt and her own shoes. Kotomi got a jacket she’d brought with her from the spare room, which was technically now her room.

Kiseki gave a soft sigh, looking over to Caroline after he had gotten his shoes and hoodie on.

“At least once all of this is over we can actually try to live normal lives.”


Ichiru felt Ashley wrap her arms around him to return the hug, resting her head on his chest as she responded.

“Like I always say, everything will be okay.” She said softly. . “Once this is all over with we can live our lives, start a family of our own and create little children who will be a handful.” Ichiru smiled at the last part as the brunette chuckled. He had to admit it would be nice to live a normal, peaceful life. More than nice, really; it would be wonderful. But could they ever really have that?

Exactly ten minutes later, Klaus returned to the house, although Ichiru and Ashley had already released each other by then. The Original looked at Ashley with a smirk.

“It’s time.” He said as he walked over to her. “I need your ring.”

“W-what?” Ashley was clearly shocked when she responded, looking down at the ring on her finger.

“You won’t need it for the sacrifice since I’m giving you my blood.” Klaus said as she quickly looked back up at him.

“But if I have your blood in my system when I die and if I don’t have the ring on then I’ll come back as a Vampire.” She said, bringing Klaus to nod. “I don’t want to change into a Vampire! I’m not ready to yet! I’m still mentally recovering from the first time!” Ichiru saw the tears beginning to pool her eyes and had to look away, knowing that he couldn‘t remain emotionless if he saw her cry - especially since he knew Klaus wasn‘t going to heed to it, which angered him.

“Give me your ring.” The Original growled, his eyes flashed angrily. After staring at him for a few moments, Ashley handed him the ring, and Klaus turned to look at Ichiru, who’d managed to get himself back under control by then. “Hold onto her ring and make sure nothing happens to it. She’ll need it after when she turns into a Vampire.” Ichiru nodded, taking the ring and putting it away in his pocket before Klaus turned back to Ashley. “Now let’s go.”

Ichiru followed Ashley and the Vampire out of the house, easily sensing the distress coming off of the brunette. He had hoped that Klaus wouldn’t have noticed the ring, and that Ashley could have come back as a human again, but he had to make everything difficult, didn’t he? He knew fully well the pain of becoming a Vampire; unless you turned off your humanity it was a horrible experience to begin with. Kiseki and Ashley both had shown exceptional resistance and control when it came to their bloodlust, though, so even if Ashley did have to turn back into a Vampire, with all of them watching out for her, he knew she would overcome it quickly.

Don’t worry. He told her telepathically, making sure to block Klaus from the conversation. I’ll be here for you when it’s all over. We’ll get through this.

Caroline looked over towards Kiseki as she was getting ready, seeing that Kiseki was getting ready as well. Normally the blonde would had giving him a smile, but she couldn’t bring herself to do it due to everything that was about to happen. As Caroline was zippering her blue sweatshirt Kiseki gave out a sigh, knowing he was nervous too.

“At least once all of this is over we can actually try to live normal lives.” Kiseki said.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to.” Caroline said as she walked over to the nightstand and grabbed a hair tie, tying back her blonde curls in a curly ponytail. As she looked at herself in the mirror she thought about what was at stake here, bringing her to look over to Kiseki and walk over to him. “I love you so much, Kiseki. We’ll make it through this together.” Caroline said as she took his hand and held it.


Don’t worry. Ichiru told Ashley telepathically. I’ll be here for you when it’s all over. We’ll get through this.

I know. Be careful, Ichiru. Ashley responded telepathically in a soft voice, more worried about everyone else’s safety than her own. The group walked down to the lake and then over the bridge, heading into the woods and walked on a path for a few minutes that never used to be there before; Klaus had made it when first coming to Fells Church. The path led to a field, the same exact field where James had killed Ashley when she had on her ring, though her friends really thought she was dead because they didn’t know the power of Ashley’s Lapis Lazuli ring at the time.

Normally the field would had been pitch black at this time of hour but torches were set up all around the field, along with the blood moon’s light shining down. In the middle of the field laid two unconscious bodies that were about fifteen feet away from each other, though Ashley was unable to make them out since she was far away from them. When she got closer however her eyes widened, seeing that the two bodies were John and Scarlet.

“Scarlet! John!” Ashley yelled as she ran over to them, Klaus letting her go as he looked over to Ichiru.

“Stay with me.” Klaus ordered.

“Ashley…” Bonnie said as Ashley knelt down beside Scarlet and felt for a pulse, but she was unable to find one.

“Bonnie what’s going on?” Ashley asked in shock. Scarlet then quickly sat up as she gasped for air, looking over to Ashley in both confusion and fear.

“W-what happened?” Scarlet asked. Ashley opened her mouth to speak but no words came out, shaking her head before looking up at Bonnie.

“Klaus said that Scarlet had to be the Vampire who gets sacrificed, and that John is the Werewolf.” Bonnie’s words brought Ashley to quickly stand up as she looked over to Klaus, storming towards the Vampire.

“You said no one that I cared about would get hurt!” Ashley yelled.

“Scarlet was never on the list, and John volunteered himself to do it since it came down between him, Jeremy or Keiru.” Klaus said. "John tried to protect Scarlet but I simply knocked him out.”

“You’re a monster.” Ashley growled as Klaus’ attention shifted to Bonnie.

“Give Scarlet the blood she needs.” Ashley quickly looked over to Bonnie at Klaus’ words, watching the young Witch take out a knife and cut her left wrist.

“No Bonnie!” Ashley yelled in desperation.

“I’m sorry Ashley… if I don’t do everything that he says then he’ll kill every one of us, and then kill our families.” Bonnie said, giving her wrist to Scarlet. Scarlet tried to fight the temptation of the sweet scent that filled the air, but fangs suddenly pierced her gums and the black veins appeared underneath her eyes, taking Bonnie’s wrist and began to drink the blood. After a few moments Bonnie pulled back and walked away from the newly changed Vampire, Scarlet’s face going back to normal as Klaus tightly grabbed Ashley by the arm and quickly walked her fifteen away from Scarlet, letting her go as he looked at her.

“Don’t move from this spot.” Klaus ordered as he walked away from her, the Vampire giving Bonnie a nod. Bonnie raised both of her hands and summoned up a Circle of Fire Enchantment, which enchanted three enormous rings of fire around John, Scarlet and Ashley to entrap them. The fire circles so that they are blocked by a barrier and the flames would rise in intensity if they moved closer. Klaus was very much satisfied as John began to wake up, John being sacrificed in just a few short minutes.


Back at the twin’s house Elijah and Kevin walked through the door, bringing Jeremy to look at them.

“It’s time for you guys to follow me, but prepare yourself for what you’re about to see.” Kevin said, referring to John and Scarlet being the ones who were going to be sacrificed. A pained expression was clearly shown on his and Elijah's faces, the two turning around and leaving so the group could follow them.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to.” Kiseki looked at Caroline when she responded, watching her walk over to the nightstand to grab a hair tie before his gaze fell back to the ground. Normally he could think of something to say to try and comfort her or anyone else, but this time nothing came; he couldn’t even smile. Movement made him look back up at the blonde, who had pulled her hair up into a ponytail and walked back over to him. “I love you so much, Kiseki. We’ll make it through this together.” She said as she took his hand and held it. Kiseki gripped it tightly as the full realization of what was about to happen came crashing down on him.

“...Yeah. I love you, too.”


I know. Be careful, Ichiru. Ashley’s response entered Ichiru’s mind a few moments later, the two of them falling silent for the rest of the walk. Ichiru noticed that the path which they took to the field was a new one; he had never been down it or seen it before. It lead to the very same field in which James had first killed Ashley, although her ring had brought her back. Torches were set up around the field, lighting it up with the dim light along with the blood moon overhead. As they walked into the field, Ichiru instantly noticed two bodies on the ground, although he couldn’t tell who they were just yet.

“Scarlet! John!” Ashley identified the bodies before Ichiru, running over to them as Klaus let her go. However, before the dark haired Vampire could go as well, the Original shifted his attention to him.

“Stay with me.” He ordered, and Ichiru was forced to remain in his place beside the older Vampire as Ashley knelt down beside Scarlet, noticing Bonnie was already there as well.

“Bonnie what’s going on?” He heard Ashley ask as Scarlet quickly say up and gasped for air, looking at Ashley in confusion and fear.

Ashley started to respond, but shook her head instead, looking to Bonnie.

“Klaus said that Scarlet had to be the Vampire who gets sacrificed, and that John is the Werewolf.” Ichiru had a hard time hiding his shock in response to the Witch’s words, watching Ashley get up and storm over to Klaus.

Ichiru looked at the ground, his fists clenching at his sides. He wished there was some way to avoid all of this, but there wasn’t.

Movement made him look up again, seeing Klaus take Ashley by the arm and move her about fifteen feet away from Scarlet.

“Don’t move from this spot.” He ordered before walking away and giving Bonnie a nod. The young witch them raised both of her hands, and three rings of fire appeared around John, Scarlet and Ashley. It was taking all of the dark haired Vampire’s willpower not to do anything as he looked at the three, noticing John beginning to wake up.

Back at the twins’ house Elijah and Kevin walked back through the door, bringing Kiseki and Kotomi to look over to them, the younger twin having returned downstairs only a few moments before.

“It’s time for you guys to follow me, but prepare yourself for what you’re about to see.” Kevin said, bringing the two siblings to look at him in confusion, although traces of fear could also easily be seen. The pained expressions on Elijah’s and Kevin’s faces were clear, which told them that something they hadn’t expected had happened. Kiseki tightened his grip on Caroline’s hand, glancing back to Kotomi as Isobel placed a hand on her shoulder.

IC: Stefan and Damon looked at each other with troubled looks at Kevin’s words, having no idea what he had meant. Mostly everyone in their group was at check, besides Bonnie having to be the Witch to perform the sacrifice, so what surprise waited for them? Caroline felt Kiseki grip her hand tighter as she returned the pressure, nervous of what the outcome was going to be.

“Let’s go.” Lexi said in a nervous voice as she looked at the group. Lexi was never nervous about anything, so seeing her in this state meant that something was horribly wrong. Stefan took her hand as the two followed Elijah and Kevin along with Jeremy, bringing Caroline to guide Kiseki outside as well before glancing at Isobel and Kotomi.


Back at the field Ashley walked towards the edge of the circle to see if she could get out, but a sudden wall of fire quickly shot up in front of her, bringing the brunette to fall back in shock as she landing on the ground.

“Bonnie!” Ashley yelled as they locked eyes.

“I didn’t do that! The circles of fire do that on their own if the person entrapped in them tries to leave the circle.” Bonnie explained as Ashley sighed. Elijah and Kevin suddenly walked out of the woods and onto the field, bringing the group to as well.

“Oh no…” Stefan said in shock when seeing John and Scarlet. Jeremy’s eyes widened in shock, the shock paralyzing him for a few moments.

“Ah, you’ve made it just in time to see the first person get sacrificed.” Klaus said with a grin as John looked at him, taking a deep breath as the realization finally hit Jeremy.

“No!” Jeremy growled as he began to run towards Klaus, but Elijah hurried and held him back.

“I knew that at least one of you would try and interfere, so I made sure to be prepared of that.” Klaus said as seven Vampires suddenly walked out from the woods and onto the field, standing there as they watched.

“Vampires from your trusted circle…” Caroline said as she looked at each new face.

“Very good, Blondie.” Klaus said as he looked down at his watch, it reading eleven thirty-seven. “It’s time, John.” Klaus looked over to John, bringing Ashley to quickly stand up.

“No! Leave him alone!” Ashley yelled as Klaus walked over to John, giving Bonnie another nod. She put her hand up and had the circle of fire disappear, bringing Klaus to stand right in front of the Werewolf. “Don’t touch him!” Ashley yelled again.

“It’s okay Ashley.” John said in a reassuring voice as he looked over to Ashley.

“No it’s not! You’re the only parent Jeremy and I have left!” Ashley pointed out as tears ran down her face.

“I love you and Jeremy so much…” John said as he looked over to Jeremy as well before shifting his attention back to Klaus.

“Leave our dad alone!” Ashley yelled again, bringing John to look back over to her in shock. It was the very first time Ashley had ever called him ‘dad’, bringing tears to his eyes as he looked at Klaus.

“Just hurry up and do it before I change my mind.” John growled as him and Klaus looked at each other for a few moments.

“Goodbye my friend, and thank you.” Klaus said, quickly reaching up and plunged his hand deep in John’s chest.

“NO!” Both Jeremy and Ashley yelled as John’s eyes widened, falling to the ground a few moments later when Klaus ripped out his heart. Bonnie looked away and down towards the ground as she stood by an altar, a large wooden bowl with the moonstone inside it placed on the altar. Klaus walked over to it and squeezed the blood from the heart into the bowl, staining the glassy white moonstone with the blood.

“One down and two to go.” Klaus said as he dropped the crushed heart onto the grass. It took every ounce of Jeremy or anyone else from attacking Klaus as Ashley turned away from everyone and sat on the ground, bringing her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs as she silently cried.

Kiseki felt Caroline return the pressure, knowing that she was just as nervous as he was. He wanted to smile and say that everything would be okay, but for probably the first time since he could remember, he couldn’t. Even if he managed the smile, he knew the words wouldn’t come out.

“Let’s go.” Lexi said nervously, breaking the heavy silence that had fallen over the group. Stefan took her hand, the two following Elijah and Kevin, along with Jeremy. Kiseki followed Caroline as she guided him outside, his grip never loosening on her hand, and Kotomi and Isobel followed after them silently.


Back at the field Ichiru saw Ashley walk toward the edge of the circle, only to be block off by a sudden wall of fire. The dark haired teen followed Ashley’s gaze to Bonnie after she had fallen back on the ground.

Ichiru saw Elijah and Kevin walk onto the field, along with the rest of the group. Kiseki, Kotomi and Isobel saw Ichiru instantly, standing beside Klaus, and were relieved that it hadn’t been him that was the surprise…unless he had been compelled again. However, when they looked out onto the field, two other familiar faces could be seen trapped in circles of fire along with Ashley.

“Oh no…” Stefan said as Kotomi and Kiseki stood frozen in shock.

“Ah, you’ve made it just in time to see the first person get sacrificed.” Klaus said, bringing everyone’s attention to him. Kiseki, however, looked over to John instantly as he realized what was going on.

“No!” Jeremy started to attack Klaus, but Elijah held him back.

“I knew that at least one of you would try and interfere, so I made sure to be prepared of that.” Klaus said as seven Vampires suddenly walked out from the woods and onto the field, standing there as they watched.

“Vampires from your trusted circle…” Caroline said from beside Kiseki. This made everything a bit more difficult…they would have to fight through the Vampires and still go through with the plan on time.

“Very good, Blondie.” Klaus said before looking down at his watch. “It’s time, John.” The twins and Kotomi watched him walk over to John, bringing Ashley to quickly stand up.

The Original seemed to ignore her, giving Bonnie another nod. The young Witch held her hand up, and the circle of fire around John disappeared, allowing Klaus to stand right in front of him.

“Don’t touch him!” Ashley yelled.

“It’s okay Ashley.” John tried to reassure the brunette as he looked over to her.

“No it’s not! You’re the only parent Jeremy and I have left!” Ashley responded as tears ran down her face.

“I love you and Jeremy so much…” John looked over to Jeremy as well before shifting his attention back to Klaus.

“One down and two to go.” He heard Klaus say, although he didn’t look back up for a few moments as he tried to calm himself down. No one was standing near him to hold him back if he tried to attack, so he had to keep himself under control or else he could screw up and get everyone killed because of his rage. After a few moments, he looked back up, noticing that the heart was no longer in Klaus’ hand, and Ashley had turned away from the rest of them to sit on the ground. Both twins knew without seeing her face that she was crying, which made it increasingly harder for Ichiru to be still.

After a few long moments Ashley took a deep breath and calmed herself down, needing to stay focused as she wiped away the tears from her face. She needed to figure out how to get Scarlet out of there alive, and she only had a few minutes to think of a plan. The brunette stood up and looked over to Scarlet, starting up a mental conversation as the two locked eyes.

We need to figure out how to get you out of here. Ashley said telepathically as she blocked out Klaus, though she let everyone else hear the conversation.

But what about the sacrifice? If I leave then he’ll kill all of you. Scarlet responded as Ashley looked over to the other Vampires.

Honestly, if we did the sacrifice Klaus’ way then he’s just going to kill everyone anyway. Ashley responded as she looked back to Scarlet, who looked at her in shock.

But… the list… You’re friends are on your list.

Look around, Scarlet. These Vampires from his trusted circle aren’t here for just Klaus’ protection. I bet you anything that they’re ordered to kill my friends so they wouldn’t spend the rest of eternity hunting us down and killing Klaus so I could be with them again. Scarlet nodded her head in agreement as it made perfect sense, the two brunettes looking at the surrounding Vampires; they stood so still they could be mistaken as statues, but they stayed high in alert at the same time.

What do you suppose we do then? Scarlet asked as they looked back at each other. Ashley’s gaze fell to the ring of fire then, an idea suddenly coming to her as she quickly looked back up at Scarlet.

When your ring of fire disappears then I want you to use your Vampire speed and run as fast as you can to get away from here.

“But I don’t know how to use it… Scarlet responded.

It will come naturally to you; trust me. Just sprint like you would on a running track. Ashley responded as Scarlet gave a slight nod, though it was easily seen that she was scared.

What about the other Vampires, though? They’ll attack. Scarlet pointed out.

When they start to attack then that’s when my friends will fight them. There has to be another way to kill Klaus besides doing the sacrifice. Bonnie can let me free and all of us will leave Fells Church as fast as we can, putting as much distance between us and Klaus. We’ll figure out another way to kill him while we’re in hiding. Ashley responded. Is everyone on track with the plan? Once Scarlet runs away, Bonnie will undo the circle around me and we’ll fight the Vampires as quick as we can, then meet up in the graveyard and leave Fells Church together. Ashley asked the rest of her friends, though she didn’t make eye contact with any of them so Klaus wouldn’t suspect anything.

Got it. Caroline responded.

Let’s do it. Lexi said as well. Ashley’s eyes traveled passed Scarlet and onto Bonnie, who gave a small nod. The brunette’s attention then shifted to Kevin, Elijah and Jeremy, all three of them giving a nod as well.

There is indeed a weapon that can kill any Original, even Klaus without the sacrifice, but we had no time to retrieve it. Once we all fled then we’ll go in the direction where the weapon is, though it is hidden out of this country. We’ll have to travel to Bulgaria where is it heavily guarded by more Vampires from Klaus’ trusted circle. Elijah had added.

Everyone get ready then. Ashley said as she looked over to Klaus, who gave her a smile. He could just tell that a plan was made, though it nerved him that he didn’t know what it was. After a few more minutes Klaus looked down at his watch, reading that it was time for the second part of the sacrifice. He walked over to the altar and grabbed the bowl, along with a clean, dark wooden stake that was next to it and made his way over to the fire circle, standing right in front of it as him and Scarlet locked eyes.

“It’s time, Scarlet.” Klaus said as Bonnie let the ring of fire extinguish. The young brunette didn’t move however, frozen in fear like a deer caught in headlights as the two stared at each other. When Klaus took a step forward however Scarlet quickly turned around and began to run with her Vampire speed, but Klaus proved much faster than her however and used his own, coming up behind Scarlet who only managed to run about ten feet until Klaus stabbed her in the back with the stake, causing her to get out a cry of pain as she fell to the ground.

“No!” Ashley yelled as she tried to run out of the fire but the blazing wall stopped her once again. Caroline looked around at the other Vampires and saw that they had moved a few inches, but stood still again when seeing that Klaus had caught Scarlet. Klaus knelt down and pulled out the stake from Scarlet’s back, turning her over so she could look up at him.

“Please don’t do this…” Scarlet begged in a whisper, but Klaus simply ignored her as he raised the stake and plunged it through her heart, causing Scarlet to gasp for air before her eyes closed, her skin quickly turning a dark gray as veins appeared all over her body. Ashley looked at Klaus in pure rage as he pulled out Scarlet’s heart and squeezed the blood into the bowl with the moonstone and Werewolf blood.

“She was just a kid! There was no reason to kill her because there are seven other Vampires from your damn circle that you could had used to take her place!” Ashley yelled in pure rage as her silver aura circled around her like flames.

“No, they couldn’t.” Klaus said as he looked up at her. “Scarlet was the second human doppelganger; second. If we used a different Vampire then the curse would still be in effect since there would have been another doppelganger out there. I honestly had no idea that she existed.” Klaus said as he stood up with the bowl in hand, bringing her to look at him in shock.

“If you didn’t know about a second human doppelganger, then we pretty much delivered her to you without even knowing…” Ashley said as she looked down. Elijah and Kevin had no idea about that part in the sacrifice, their expressions showing shock as well. Ashley’s aura died down as she looked over to her friends, knowing that they had to stick to the original plan now. There was a problem though; how were they going to get past the seven Vampires to get to Klaus?

But what about the sacrifice? If I leave then he’ll kill all of you. Scarlet responded, bringing their gazes to the seven other Vampires. They were all standing so still they could have been mistaken for statues.

Honestly, if we did the sacrifice Klaus’ way then he’s just going to kill everyone anyway. Ashley’s response didn’t startle Ichiru; he had expected Klaus to turn on them even if he got what he wanted. Kiseki and Kotomi, however, appeared slightly shocked.

But… the list… You’re friends are on your list.

Look around, Scarlet. These Vampires from his trusted circle aren’t here for just Klaus’ protection. I bet you anything that they’re ordered to kill my friends so they wouldn’t spend the rest of eternity hunting us down and killing Klaus so I could be with them again.

What do you suppose we do then? Scarlet asked, and Kotomi and the twins finally glanced over to Ashley as they waited for her response. They noticed her look down at the ring of fire for a few seconds, then back to Scarlet.

When your ring of fire disappears then I want you to use your Vampire speed and run as fast as you can to get away from here.

“But I don’t know how to use it… Scarlet responded.

It will come naturally to you; trust me. Just sprint like you would on a running track. Ashley answered, to which the younger brunette nodded, although it was clear even from their distance that she was scared. But then again why wouldn’t she be?

What about the other Vampires, though? They’ll attack. She said.

When they start to attack then that’s when my friends will fight them. There has to be another way to kill Klaus besides doing the sacrifice. Bonnie can let me free and all of us will leave Fells Church as fast as we can, putting as much distance between us and Klaus. We’ll figure out another way to kill him while we’re in hiding. Ashley responded. Is everyone on track with the plan? Once Scarlet runs away, Bonnie will undo the circle around me and we’ll fight the Vampires as quick as we can, then meet up in the graveyard and leave Fells Church together.

There is indeed a weapon that can kill any Original, even Klaus without the sacrifice, but we had no time to retrieve it. Once we all fled then we’ll go in the direction where the weapon is, though it is hidden out of this country. We’ll have to travel to Bulgaria where is it heavily guarded by more Vampires from Klaus’ trusted circle. Elijah stated as the twins glanced at him, surprised at the news.

Everyone get ready then. Ashley said, shifting her gaze over to Klaus, who gave her a smile. After a few more minutes, the Original looked down at his watch, walking over to the altar to grab the bowl, along with a dark wooden stake next to it. He walked over to Scarlet, standing just outside of the fire circle as the two of them locked eyes.

“It’s time, Scarlet.” He said as Bonnie let the ring of fire extinguish. However, Scarlet didn’t move; instead standing frozen in place as she stared at the older Vampire. It took all of the twins’ and Kotomi’s willpower not to yell out to her to run, or to rush over to help. Just when it seemed like she wasn’t going to move, Scarlet took off with her Vampire speed just as Klaus took a step forward. Unfortunately, the Original proved much faster than her, managing to catch up to her after only around ten feet and stabbing her in the back. Ichiru cursed under his breath as the younger Vampire fell to the ground with a cry of pain.

He glanced over the group, which was undoubtedly bigger. That at least gave them one advantage. But then again, Klaus wouldn’t have chosen only seven Vampire to go against all of them if they weren’t strong enough to handle it.

Stefan and Damon agreed to the plan that Ashley had come up with, the two brothers ready to attack when the time came. A few minutes later Klaus walked over to the ring of fire where Scarlet was being kept.

“It’s time, Scarlet.” Klaus said as the fire disappeared. Stefan and Damon moved only an inch since they were about to attack, but stopped when Scarlet didn’t move. She looked at Klaus in fear, clearly frozen as Damon and Stefan cursed under their breath. When Klaus took a step forwards however that’s when Scarlet took off running, but Klaus was a thousand times faster however since he was as Original, bringing him to stab the younger brunette in the back with the wooden stake he had.

“We have to do something.” Stefan growled as he began to walk forward a few steps but Damon quickly grabbed his arm.

Ashley responded telepathically to everyone as her and Klaus locked eyes, the Original looking at her with that smirk of his; Ashley wanted to slap it off his face.

The minutes slowly counted down until it was finally time, Ashley sitting on the ground with her back facing Scarlet as the guilt washed over her. When Klaus gave Bonnie a nod and the ring of fire surrounding Ashley disappeared the brunette quickly looked up, her attention previously on the grass as she stood up, seeing Klaus walking over to her. Panic was clearly shown on her face as he got closer, though she didn’t try to run or even move since that wouldn’t get her anywhere; she needed to stick with the plan.

“It’s time my dear.” Klaus said as he bit down on his wrist, creating two circular puncture wounds which heavily dripped with blood since he bit down on the main vein. The Original offered his wrist to Ashley but she shook her head, locking eyes with him.

“I can’t…” Ashley said.

“Drink it.” Klaus ordered in irritation. Ashley flinched slightly, taking his arm a few moments later and brought the bloodied wrist to her lips, drinking a mouthful of blood. “That’s my girl.” Klaus said as Ashley pulled away and looked down on the ground. Klaus moved around behind her and gently pushed Ashley’s hair to the side, revealing her bare neck. “Thank you for helping with breaking the curse.”

“Go to hell.” Ashley growled as Klaus smirked again, bringing out his fangs and sinking them deep in Ashley’s jugular vein. The brunette let out a gasp of pain since Klaus wasn’t being gentle at all, the Original enjoying the bite as Ashley locked her eyes with Ichiru. As the seconds passed the brunette was getting weaker, Klaus almost draining her dry of her blood already as Ashley’s eyes got heavy. She closed them and then collapsed, her body hitting the grass as her heartbeat could no longer be heard or felt.

“Yes… I can feel it…” Klaus said as a pair of Werewolf fangs forced themselves behind his Vampire fangs. The Werewolf fangs were longer than the Vampire fangs so they could easily be seen. His bones began to crack in unnatural ways as his body began to slowly shift, Vampire black veins appearing underneath his eyes as glowing, yellow eyes were seen.

“Incendia!” Bonnie yelled as all of the torches around the field suddenly engulfed themselves in blue flames. "Fes Matos Tribum, Salve Sorce Das! Fes Matos Eliximo Nominum, Etrinox Sorce Sotero Callux Oxtara!" Bonnie yelled. Klaus suddenly screamed out in pain as he fell to the floor, a horrible burning sensation overtaking his body from the inside. The seven Vampires quickly moved, bringing Jeremy and Lexi to run over to Bonnie and protect her while Elijah, Kevin and Caroline began to fight the Vampires. A strong wind picked up with heavy rain and a raging thunderstorm as Bonnie continued to loudly chant the incantation, Jeremy and Lexi heavily staying on guard.

Caroline found herself facing off against a male Vampire who looked to be in his mid-thirties, no emotion showing on his face as he lunged for Caroline. He knocked her down to the ground hard but since she was in cheer leading Caroline quickly used her lower body strength and flipped herself to where she was on top of him now, punching him hard in the face a couple of times until he reached up and managed to grab her by the back of her ponytail, pulling her down to the ground as she let out a cry in pain.

The Vampire quickly stood up and dragged Caroline up with him, using his Vampire speed to push her into a nearby tree and grabbed a tree branch, plunging it deep into her stomach. Caroline held in the scream she desperately wanted to let out so her friends wouldn’t hear and be distracted from their targets. The Vampire quickly took out the branch and stabbed Caroline in the chest with it, the branch skimming her heart…

It was hard enough watching John and Scarlet die, but he didn’t think he could hold his self control much longer. It made the matter worse knowing how much Ashley didn’t want to be a Vampire and having her ring right in his pocket, but not being able to give it to her to prevent everything. After a few moments, although they had also seemed like an eternity, Ashley’s eyes closed and she collapsed into the grass as Ichiru looked at the ground again to keep himself under control until it was time to attack. Isobel still held onto Kiseki’s arm, knowing that he was at a snapping point already.

“Yes… I can feel it…” Klaus said, and a pair of Werewolf fangs could be seen growing out behind his Vampire fangs, clearly distinguishable due to their size and length. His bones began to crack unnaturally as he slowly started to shift, the familiar black Vampire veins appearing beneath his now glowing, yellow eyes.

Ichiru wasted no time at all attacking the Vampire nearest to him, eager to let out his rage on something - especially if that something was related to Klaus and this damned sacrifice. He forced the Vampire, who looked to be in his mid-thirties, into a nearby tree with his speed, ripping off a low branch and starting to stab him with it. However, the older Vampire seemed to see it coming, managing to stop the attack and knock Ichiru to the ground. Even as he was pinned to the ground, Ichiru still held onto the branch. The Vampire started to thrust his hand into the dark haired teen’s chest to rip his heart out, but Ichiru quickly stabbed him in the stomach with the branch, kicking him off and rising quickly to his feet to stab him again in the chest.

A familiar cry of pain made Kiseki quickly look up. Kotomi and Isobel seemed to be doing well with their opponents, although he knew already that it had been Caroline as he looked over toward the blonde just in time to see a Vampire stab her in the chest with a branch.

“Caroline!” Kotomi, Isobel and Ichiru looked up when hearing Kiseki’s yell, although by then the younger twin had already made it over to the Vampire and tackled him away from Caroline. He carefully pulled the branch out of the blonde, looking at her for a moment before his attention shifted back to the Vampire as he rose to his feet, black veins appearing beneath the dark haired teen’s eyes as he lunged forward and stabbed the branch into the older Vampire’s chest. Even though this in itself would probably kill him, Kiseki didn’t pull it out yet. Instead, his eyes turned blood red, and he forced it further into the Vampire’s chest until it had stabbed him all the way through, the tip of it piercing all the way through to where the tip was visible in his back.

Kiseki finally let him go, shoving the Vampire to the ground with one hand and jerking the branch out for further use with the other. He turned to Caroline then, his face instantly going back to normal as he looked at her with concern.

“Are you okay?” He asked, allowing his hand to hover over the wound on her chest to heal it first, since it was probably the most fatal.

OOC: False Pretence isn’t able to do the RP anymore so DA and I can control Stefan and Damon. I can’t believe the RP is almost done already XD

IC: “Caroline!” Kiseki yelled as everyone turned to him, though Stefan and Damon weren’t able to help due to having to fight their own Vampires. Caroline slightly moved her eyes and saw Kiseki use his Vampire speed to reach her, shoving the Vampire who had stabbed her and carefully pulled out the branch from her chest. The blonde winced at the pain as her and Kiseki locked eyes for a brief moment before he turned his attention to the enemy Vampire, though Caroline didn’t see what happened next as she slowly slid down the tree until she was sitting with her back against it. Not too long later however Kiseki returned to her side and knelt down, hovering his hand over her chest to heal the wound.

“Are you okay?” Kiseki asked.

“I feel different… something’s wrong.” Caroline said in a weak voice, her skin beginning to turn a light gray with veins slowly appearing on her body. “He got my heart with the branch…” Caroline’s eyes slowly closed as her body went limp, her gray skin deepening in color with the veins. However, the branch had only skimmed on the side of her heart, and with Kiseki’s healing he had healed her heart just in time, though her body would have to catch up with everything. It looked as though she were simply dead, breathing so lightly that it didn’t look like the curly haired blonde was breathing at all, though her heart was at a stop for now. Her skin remained as though she were dead also, but very slowly it was actually going back to normal, but with the rate it was going you weren’t able to tell at all, not even a Vampire or a Werewolf.

“Damon! Get Ashley out of here and stay with her!” Stefan yelled through the raging storm as Bonnie kept up her spell, Klaus still fallen over in pain as Damon quickly nodded and used his Vampire speed to scoop Ashley up into his arms and ran away from the scene. He ran to her own home and raced up the stairs, walking into her bedroom and closing the door before walking over to Ashley’s bed.

“I wish there was something we could had done to keep you from turning into a Vampire.” Damon said as he gently placed Ashley’s limp body on the bed. He leaned over and placed his hand over the wound on her neck, healing it before walking to the middle of the room and stayed on guard, ready for if any Vampires escaped and came for Ashley.

Back at the battlefield Jeremy saw an opening that he could take, bringing him to quickly take out the dagger and bottled ash, quickly putting the blade inside the ashes and taking it back out, beginning to run over towards Klaus as fast as he could. When he ran a little halfway however a Vampire suddenly appeared in front of him and kicked in his leg, snapping the bone in half as Jeremy fell to the ground, screaming from the top of his lunges in pain. Stefan quickly turned around when seeing that the Vampire was about to rip Jeremy’s heart out, Stefan using his Vampire speed to stab the other in the heart with the branch Stefan had in hand.

“Give me the dagger.” Stefan ordered as Jeremy handed it to him.

“What are you doing to do?” Jeremy asked through the pain. When Stefan didn’t answer and grabbed the bottled ash Jeremy instantly knew what Stefan was planning, watching the Vampire run off.

“Stefan don’t!” Jeremy yelled, though he couldn’t do anything to stop the Vampire since Jeremy was badly injured with the bone piercing out of the side of his leg. Stefan knelt down over Klaus and ripped out his heart, causing Klaus to scream louder as Stefan brought back the dagger and began to bring it down on the heart. Right before it made contact however he was suddenly shoved aside by Elijah, knocking Stefan onto his back as Elijah quickly grabbed the dagger and stabbed it through Klaus’ heart.

“Elijah!” Kevin yelled as Elijah’s body quickly turned the familiar gray color.

“Take the heart… put it into the bowl and set in on fire… don’t take out the dagger. Pour the ashes in the fire.” Elijah said to Stefan as the veins then appeared, Elijah’s dead body falling onto the grass. Stefan quickly grabbed the heart with the dagger pierced through it and ran over to the bowl which was next to Scarlet’s body, putting the heart in there as Bonnie lifted up her hand and set the inside of the bowl on fire, bringing Stefan to pour the rest of the ashes over the heart as Lexi and Kevin were fighting the Vampires, though most of them were already dead by now. Stefan’s attention quickly shifted to Klaus, who had finally stopped screaming as he gasped for air. His body slowly began to form into ash, the ashes crumbling a few moments later as his clothes fell to the ground, nothing being left of Klaus.

“I’ll be back.” Klaus’ voice suddenly entered through the field, though he said no more as there was no more signs left of Klaus.

Even though he had successfully healed the wound on her chest, the blonde’s condition was still worsening. “Caroline?” The dark haired teen’s heart skipped a beat when he felt her go limp, her eyes slowly closing as her skin turned completely gray with the familiar veins appearing all over her body. Tears instantly sprang into his eyes when he didn’t receive a response, and the Vampire leaned in quickly to listen for a heartbeat.

As he fought off another Vampire with the branch he’d kept as a weapon, Ichiru glanced over toward Kiseki and Caroline, instantly noticing something was wrong. He wanted to go over and see what it was, but couldn’t because he was dealing with his opponent. He heard Stefan tell Damon to take Ashley away from the scene as he managed to pin the Vampire down, seeing the older Vampire run off with Ashley in his arms with Vampire speed. Just as he stabbed the branch into the Vampire’s heart, he heard Jeremy scream from the top of his lungs in pain, bringing him to quickly turn and look in the direction of the Werewolf, seeing him on the ground with his leg severely misplaced.

Kotomi and Isobel heard the scream as well, both of them finishing off the Vampires they were fighting and turning to look toward the Werewolf, seeing Stefan by his side now. They quickly ran over to the two as Jeremy handed Stefan the dagger, looking at him in question. Before either of them could say anything, the older Vampire ran off toward Klaus, and it instantly dawned on both of them what he was going to do.

“Stefan don’t!” Jeremy yelled, although none of them were able to stop him before he reached Klaus, kneeling down over the Original and ripping his heart out. However, before he was able to stab the knife into it, Elijah suddenly shoved him aside, grabbing the dagger and stabbing it through Klaus’ heart.

“Elijah!”

Ichiru quickly looked up at Kevin’s yell, seeing the Original collapse onto the ground, his skin the familiar dark grey color. He simply looked in shock for a few moments before his gaze shifted over to Kiseki and Caroline, the younger twin having gotten back up to finish the fight earlier, although now he returned to Caroline’s side. As Klaus’ body slowly began turning to ash after his heart had been set on fire in the bowl beside Scarlet’s body, Ichiru finally ran over to Kiseki and Caroline. His heart sank when he saw the grey skin of the blonde in his brother’s arms, with veins adorning it. Kiseki’s shoulder shook slightly as he held her, which instantly told the older twin that he was crying.

"I'll be back." Klaus' voice echoed over the field, although when Ichiru, Kotomi and Isobel looked toward the body, everything but his clothes had been reduced to ash. The two dark haired girls sighed almost simultaneously, turning their attention to Jeremy to try and heal his leg.

Ichiru knelt down beside Kiseki, resting a hand on his shoulder, although the dark haired teen didn’t acknowledge it. Ichiru could see the dead Vampire only a few inches away, as well as the bloody branch on the ground beside Caroline and Kiseki, which told him all he needed to know about what had happened.

OOC: lol whatever was up there is gone now I guess since it isn’t showing up on my end XD

IC: Since all of Klaus’ Vampires were dead Stefan went to go over towards Ichiru, Kiseki and Caroline while Bonnie, Kevin and Lexi went to go help out Kotomi and Isobel with Jeremy’s leg, but when Stefan reached the three his eyes widened, seeing what had happened to Caroline.

“Lexi!” Stefan shouted as the two locked eyes for a few moments, Lexi running over to the scene.

“Oh no…” Lexi said as she covered her mouth with her hand, holding back tears.

“There has to be something we can do.” Stefan said in desperation. As Lexi knelt down beside Caroline who was being held by Kiseki however, the veins on Caroline began to move quickly, like snakes slithering underneath her skin. They quickly vanished, her skin going back to its snowy white as the wound in her stomach quickly healed, Kiseki already healing the wound in her chest. A few moments later Caroline’s heart suddenly began to beat as she quickly opened her eyes, breathing a little heavily as she looked around.

“What happened?” Caroline asked, locking eyes with Kiseki as she saw that he had been crying.

“It only skimmed her heart.” Lexi said with a sigh of relief. Caroline looked over to the dead Vampire who almost killed her, tearing her gaze away a few moments later as she wrapped her arms around Kiseki and held him close to her.

“Thank goodness you’re okay.” Caroline said, not yet registering that everyone who saw the condition she was in had thought she was dead just a few second ago.

Bonnie knelt down beside Kevin, Isobel and Kotomi as they tried to heal Jeremy’s leg, bringing the young Witch to quickly push Jeremy’s bone back into his leg so it could heal correctly, though the action sent Jeremy into another horrible screaming session again.

“I’m sorry Jeremy…” Bonnie said as she held onto the young Werewolf, his leg being fully healed now as his screaming stopped, replaced by a few deep breaths.

“That had to be one of the worst pains ever.” Jeremy sighed as him, Bonnie and Kevin stood up, bringing Caroline, Lexi and Stefan to do the same as they regrouped by Elijah’s dead body.

“He died?” Caroline asked in shock, bringing Kevin to nod.

“He sacrificed himself to stab Klaus in the heart with the dagger.” Kevin responded as Jeremy looked away.

“I shouldn’t have let that Vampire get me…” Kevin quickly looked over to Jeremy when he spoke, the Original shaking his head.

“It’s not your fault Jeremy.” Kevin said in a reassuring voice. Silence fell over for a few moments, Lexi finally speaking.

“What do we do now?” The blonde asked.

“You guys go home to Ashley; I’ll clean this up. I’ll clean up the field, burry Elijah next to Amy’s grave and get Scarlet’s body back to her family so she can have a proper burial. I’ll have to do some compulsion and say that an animal attacked her.” Kevin paused for a few moments as he looked over to John’s body. “You should do that with John too. Take him somewhere else that’s in a wooded area and call the police. Say that you found his body and when the police gets there, compel them into thinking that they witnessed the animal attack with their own eyes.” Kevin said as he looked back over to the group.

“Lexi and I will do that. You guys get back to Ashley’s house to make sure her and Damon are safe.” Stefan said as Caroline, Jeremy and Bonnie nodded, looking at the rest of the group before turning and walking towards Ashley’s house. Caroline stopped in her tracks though and looked over to Kevin, walking over to the Original and wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug, which he instantly returned.

“I’ll see you around, Caroline.” Kevin said as Caroline nodded, the two looking at each other for a few moments before Caroline walked back over to the group, leaving Stefan, Lexi and Kevin to stay behind. Once Caroline, Bonnie and Jeremy walked into the house Damon tensed up a little bit, thinking it was one of the enemy Vampires. Caroline, Jeremy and Bonnie walked up the stairs and into Ashley’s room, bringing Damon to relax.

“Are they all dead?” Damon asked.

“Yeah, though Elijah is dead too.” Jeremy said as he looked down.

“What?” Damon was clearly shocked, realizing the plan didn’t go how it was supposed to. “He always seemed so invincible like Klaus…”

“Well he’s finally dead too.” Bonnie said, looking over to Ashley’s cold, pale body.

“We need to keep the curtains closed for when she wakes up in the morning.” Caroline said, seeing that Ashley’s ring was gone, not knowing that Ichiru had it.

“Jenna won’t be here, right?” Bonnie asked as she looked over to Jeremy, who shook his head.

“She and Alaric are out of town until tomorrow night.” Jeremy responded.

“Where are Lexi and Stefan?” Damon asked when finally realizing that they were missing from the group.

“They’re taking care of John’s body to where he’s able to have a funeral.” Caroline responded. “Kevin is cleaning up the battlefield and then going to bury Elijah, then take Scarlet’s body back to her family.” Damon nodded as he looked down for a few moments, then up at Ichiru.

“I’m gonna go turn in for the night. You should stay here with Ashley.” Damon said.

“We could all use the needed rest now.” Jeremy said, taking Bonnie’s hand and guided her into his own room to sleep.

“Let’s go home then.” Caroline said as she looked over to Kiseki, Kotomi and Isobel, giving them a small smile before making her way towards the stairs.

Ichiru heard footsteps from behind him after a few moments of silence, although due to the male Vampire behind him calling for Lexi only seconds later he knew that it was Stefan without turning around. Rapid footsteps approached then, and then the female Vampire’s voice was heard as well.

“Oh no…”

“There has to be something we can do.” Stefan said as Ichiru glanced back at the two older Vampires. “Thank goodness you’re okay.” He heard Caroline say, bringing him to chuckle softly as he tightened his grip on her.

Back with Jeremy, Kevin and Bonnie had come over to help as well, the latter quickly pushing the Werewolf’s bone back into place so that it could heal correctly, which sent him into another fit of screaming.

It didn’t take them long at all to arrive at Ashley’s house, the group walking upstairs to the brunette’s room to see Damon, who appeared tense at first, but relaxed when he saw it was only them.

“They’re taking care of John’s body to where he’s able to have a funeral.” Caroline responded. “Kevin is cleaning up the battlefield and then going to bury Elijah, then take Scarlet’s body back to her family.” Damon nodded as he looked down for a few moments, then up at Ichiru.

“I’m gonna go turn in for the night. You should stay here with Ashley.” He said, to which the younger Vampire nodded. He would have stayed regardless of whether Damon was or not, because he had promised Ashley he would be there for her when she woke up.

“We could all use the needed rest now.” Jeremy said, taking Bonnie’s hand and guided her out of the room.

“Let’s go home then.” Caroline said as she looked over to Kiseki, Kotomi and Isobel with a small smile, then heading for the stairs.

“Let us know if anything happens.” Isobel told Ichiru, who nodded in response, managing a small smile in response to his mother before the group left the room as well. He turned his attention to Ashley then, walking over to the bedside and gently putting the ring on her finger. Of course, he already knew that if she lost control the next day they would just have to take it away again like they had done before, and with Kiseki as well.

He carefully climbed into bed beside her, making sure to make the least amount of movement as he could, leaning against the headboard as he looked down at her.

“I’m sorry, Ashley…” He gently brushed a stand of hair away from her face as he looked at her. “I wish we could have prevented this…”
