Overall Story
In a world where things like the computer and cars have not even been dreamed up of yet, the people live in the time of the sword. People train in the ancient arts and master the art of trading goods. The current currency is gold, silver, and copper pieces. Some of the local job were blacksmithing, tanning, shoe making, and even creature slaying. It is the land of old, a place where mythical beasts still roam the earth and no one questioned their existence. With some of the creatures there was a bounty on their pelts. It was just the way of life in this world, populated by both human and creatures of all, known as Pokémon.

Looking over the world, making sure that everything was as peaceful as it could be, was the Alpha Pokémon himself. Arceus was known as a god, having rule over everything in his kingdom. And yet only so few have ever seen this legendary creature. The only way people could have an idea of the sheer power of this Pokémon was from stories and books passed down from the ancestors. Legend states that this mighty creature could change his elemental type with mystic plates, but even those have yet to be seen. In the present time, it isn't uncommon to hear the youth say they do not believe the old tales of Arceus, even though the Alpha Pokémon was watching over them and hearing what they had to say.

But unknown to everyone, a legendary battle has been going on for centuries. The Alpha Pokémon has been engaged in battle with the Pitch-Black Pokémon himself, Darkrai. This Pokémon wishes to engulf the entire world in nightmare, therefore adding to his power to overthrow Arceus. If Darkrai were to be victorious, then the world would be in a constant state of nightmare and surely perish. Of course, Arceus would not allow this and when he got wind of Darkrai's plan, he confronted the Dark-type.

And thus began the battle of legends. The light was Arceus and the darkness was Darkrai. However, due to the mystic plates, Arcues had the upper hand for most of the battle. But that didn't mean Darkrai was just going to give up. He somehow ended up outsmarting Arceus and caught the Alpha Pokémon in a Void. But Arceus didn't take that lightly and managed to break free. But this took a lot of his power, and all but one of his plates were scattered across the land. Also, once free from the Void, Darkrai had also vanished. The Pitch-Black Pokémon saw the plates scatter, and he then went to find them. He managed to find one, and when he touched it he felt a power surge like none he has ever felt before.

Now with Darkrai's power increasing and Arceus needing to recover from the long battle, all seems lost. With all of the plates lost, Arcues really doesn't stand a chance in one final battle against the adversary. But since he has been watching over the land, he knows that there are powerful individuals living in the world. So he will goes to these individuals and seek out their assistance. With their help, he could possibly get all of his plates back before time runs out. He knows that Darkrai has one, so that plate would have to be the last the adventurers would have to seek out. Arceus knows where only one is, but he hopes that the holder of that plate may have a clue to where the next one is, and so on. So he sends out the quest to the adventurers before the world is surrounded in nightmare.
Campaign Story
Arceus sent out a quest to a few select adventurers. They all were to meet in a small village in the middle of the countryside. Once all of the questers were to gather, he would come to them and give them further instruction. All the adventurers know is that the world is about to be in a state of chaos and the Alpha Pokémon has selected them specifically for a series of quests to help save the world they live in before it is too late.

All the adventurers know so far is that Arceus was severely injured in a battle. They have no idea who his opponent was or what caused the god like Pokémon to be to be in such distress and in need of assistance. Even though the legendary Pokémon has come to them in dreams, some of the individuals still may not believe in Arceus's existence. They are merely going to the town to humor themselves, not knowing that they are really about to go on a dangerous adventure that they may not come back alive from.

You are one of these adventurers. Do you believe in Arceus and want to help him out? Or are you one of the none believers just wanting a thrill? Either way, you are going to set out on a quest with others. Will you work well with your companions? Or are you going to be a loner, only traveling with the group to benefit yourself? Only time will answer these questions and much more. It's time to set out on the first of many campaigns to seek treasure only thought to be a myth. You will collect treasure, gain experience, and fight many creatures. But not all of the fights are going to be of physical violence. You may have to outwit a creature in a challenge of intelligence or answer a riddle. Or maybe the creature will send you out on another side quest so you can continue to your main goal. The pages will be filled with the tales of your adventures. What will your story tell?
The Rules
  • All PE2K rules
  • No god-modding or flaming
  • No bunnying unless given permission from the player
  • Romance is allowed, but nothing above kissing in-game. Anything else must be taken to the PMs. Also, same gender relationships are acceptable if you prefer your character to be in that kind of relationship
  • Only two characters per player unless given permission from one of the Dungeon Masters (DMs)
  • Other than the DMs, there will be a maximum of ten players. The first ten people to reserve and provide an acceptable sign up sheet will be able to partake in the role play
  • Let one of the DMs know if you are going to be absent so we can make your character a none playable character (NPC) so that he or she is not left behind
  • Generation 5 Pokémon are acceptable, but a DM can ask you to change your team since some of the Isshu Pokémon will be NPCs
  • This is a Dungeons & Dragons style role play, so there is going to be a dice roll factor. I have actual D&D dice I will be using, or a dice roll simulator. So if you are wanting to do an action, you cannot say whether or not you were successful since it all depends on how the dice rolls.
  • There are going to be Free Action situations or Turn Base situations.
  • Free action means you can do whatever you want to do, but there is still the dice roll factor. Free Action is when you can post whenever and not have to worry about if everyone posts before there is a DM post
  • Turn Base situation means you can only post once until every player has posted an action. Once there is a DM post, you may post once again. Everyone must take a turn and post once until the DM post states is Free Action once again
  • The Dungeon Masters are Crystal Momoyia and Pyroboy74. For this campaign, however, Crystal Momoyia will be the one to post most of the DM posts
Available Species
  • Human- Obviously everyone knows what a human is. Humans are able to tame wild Pokémon and use them in combat. There are no state bonuses for human characters.
  • Pokémon- Just like normal Pokémon. Like humans, they can worship a god, or a legendary Pokémon. Any Pokémon, other than a legendary, is playable unless said otherwise by a Dungeon Master. Some Pokémon get state bonuses while others do not.
  • Pokémorph- Half human, half Pokémon. In other word, a humanoid Pokémon. They walk on two legs and have posable thumbs. They have the ability to tap into their Pokémon side and use the techniques of that species up to their current ability level. Some get state bonuses, others do not.
  • Pokéthrope- Similar to a lycanthrope. These creatures have a human, Pokémorph, and a Pokémon form. Like Pokémorphs, they can access the powers of their Pokémon side. Each stage can add or take away stat bonuses.

Signature Technique: Ice-Flamethrower - An offensive special type technique that is both fire and ice elemental. It has a small chance of either burning or freezing the opponent.
Personality: Surge is a silent type of Pokémon unless something needs to be said. He doesn't find it productive to idly chat or sit by the wayside. He would be first to charge into battle, wanting to get the job done as swiftly as possible. However, if he is facing a strong adversary, he would want to prolong the battle as long as he could until he deemed it no longer necessary to continue the battle since he wouldn't think his own power would increase any further battle the opponent. He doesn't like to make alliances too often, but if he sees the benefit in the alliance he will join another individual or a group.
History: Surge grew up in a pack of wild Houndour and Houndoom when he was younger. He learned the ways of the wild. In his early years, it was become the hunter or become the hunted. With the guidance of the pack, he became a powerful hunter. It wasn't long before the young Houndour evolved into an even more powerful Houndoom. He was a loyal member of the pack, However, that all changed.

The pack worshiped the legendary Volcano Pokémon, Entei. Surge, on the other hand, secretly worshiped the Aurora Pokémon, Suicune. Once that secret got out, the pack was furious. Now they had an idea of why Surge was born with blue eyes instead of red, even though their suspicious were incorrect. It was just a rare trait that the young Houndoom had, not because he worshiped a legendary water elemental Pokémon. A battle erupted between Surge and the current alpha male at the time. Surge came out victorious, the only serious injury he sustained was that over his eye. The injury healed over time and left a scar and there were no affects to his sight in his right eye.

After that battle, Surge left and became a wanderer. He had settled in many human villages, and over time he picked up the human language and learned how to read human literature. Talking Pokémon were a rare sight unless it was a mixture of Pokémon and human or a Pokéthrope, a human who could turn into a Pokémon. He found such a human, who's career was to assassinate individuals for a price. The human taught Surge the trade, and soon the Houndoom became a Pokémon assassin. Since he doesn't have much need for human money, he works for a low price. He turns down few and accepts those that may be a challenge. He takes his job seriously and leaves little evidence behind, being a master in his class.

Signature Technique: Poison Control - With knowing the move Toxic, Naomi can focus the poison into any part of her body and with a single touch she can poison the enemy. Even a simple kiss can poison the receiver without poisoning herself. Also with the Poison Control she has a resistance to poison elemental attacks, them causing no damage or poison affect.
Personality: Naomi is an observant person, staying quiet and in the background. But she would not hesitate to stand up for herself to anyone, even if her opponent is bigger and stronger than herself. She likes to get jobs done as quiet, quick, and clean as it could be. She has no problem tricking someone for her own benefit, only to backstab them later and steal their valuables. However, she has found a few people and Pokémon she could not betray and just left them unharmed.

Personality: Robert is a carefree sort who lends his blade to those in need. While he's normally a law-abiding warrior, he's not above acting outside of the law or even breaking the law in order to do a greater good, placing his alignment as neutral good. While he may not be the sharpest blade when it comes to book-smarts and figuring out complex problems, he knows his way around all types of battlefields and he's quick to think on his feet. He makes up his lack of book smarts with street smarts.

History: Robert was born and raised by a mercenary band after running away from home. His mother died at giving birth, and his father blamed him for her death, treating him like he was lower than pond scum. Robert was raised by a Gallade morph named Matthias. Matthias trained Robert hard, but the young Growlithe morph always came through and always put everything into his training. What was better was that Matthias treated him like a real father should, with encouragement, rules, boundaries and compassion.

Matthias's daughter Lilly, a young Ralts, always hung around Robert and the two were close friends. When Lilly became a Kirlia and Robert evolved into an Arcanine with a fire stone gift from Matthias as a reward for completing his training, other mercs of the band would make passing comments that Lilly was sweet on Robert. Of course, Robert was too naive to know what that meant, and it always made Lilly blush hard.

Robert took on quite a few missions for the group until he decided to strike out on his own. He wanted to explore the world, not just stay in one region. During his travels, he received the dream from Arceus. While Robert was pious to Entei, he still believed in the Alpha and decided to follow the instructions of the dream.

Signature Technique: Earth Cleaver - Infusing his sword with the energies of flame and calling upon the power of Entei, Robert can strike the ground with his blade, causing a mixture of flame and breaking fragments of ground to rip forward in a straight line. Damages all caught within that 20ft long, 5ft wide ground blast. Flying types not effected.

Appearance:

Personality: Lilly is often calm and quiet, but she has a big heart and is often the first to help people in need. However, even with the goodness in her heart, she is far from innocent. She knows how to use her female charms without using the move itself. She's not above breaking the law in order to help people or accomplish the mission at hand. Her worship loyalties lie with the playful Mew, and her personality reflects it. She can be childish at times, though she hates being called a child. She also cares greatly for Robert, even if he's too naive to notice.

History: Lilly was born in the mercenary band known as the Grey Staraptors. her father, the Gallade Matthias, was the current leader after the original leader died in battle. While her powers favored healing, her interests favored learning the arcane and learning about lost civilizations, reading obscure books and dreaming of coming upon knowledge that no one else had yet to discover.

Her mother was a cunning rogue and showed Lilly how to manipulate those of the opposite gender with her wiles. While this certainly wasn't a preferred means to complete missions, Lilly eventually learned how to act in order to get information from others without scanning their brains with Psychic. She became quite learned in mannerisms and culture. She always loved her parents, but she wanted to write her own legend.

She became close friends with Robert, a runaway Growlithe morph. Unlike her, the boy had a miserable life. At first she was protective of him after learning why he ran away from his home. However, as they both grew, she came to admire his determination and good heart. While he'd often get a headache anytime she tried to explain the workings of the arcane, he knew about things she would never comprehend, things only those who have lived on the streets would know. In a way, they complimented each other. She was the intelligent bookworm and he was a street-smart brawler with a golden heart. In time she became smitten with him.

When Robert decided to head out on his own, Lilly followed him, convinced that perhaps fate led them to meet each other. She had the same dream from Arceus as Robert did, confirming for her that the dream was really a deity trying to contact them for help.

Techniques: Psychic, Wish, Calm Mind, Heal Bell

Signature Technique: Trance - This is not something that she puts herself into. Rather, this 'mode' activates when she is critically low on health. Trance lasts for three turns. During those three turns, she cannot faint, and her spells take less time to cast. She can even cast if she has used up her normal spells per day allotment. After the three turns are over, she faints, or if her hp is -10 or lower, dies. Sort of a spell-like version of Berserk.

EDIT: For those who are reserved or for those who are working on a SU, I have added a Signature Move slot in the SU sheet. It'll give you a chance to be a bit more creative with your character(s). But of course it is optional in case you don't want to have a special move that only your character knows.

DOUBLE EDIT: I also make it to were Pokémorph can have Pokémon companions if they so desire.

Finished the SUs of my two characters. Need approval for Close Combat since it's not normally known to an Arcanine, but the human-like body of a morph would plausibly enable such a move to become usable.

Before I go and look over your SUs, I added a Signature Move slot and now Pokémorphs can have Pokémon companions. Would you like to make those edits first or shall I look over your SUs now?

Okay. I added in the Signature Techniques, though Lilly's is more like Final Fantasy 9's Trance system rather than a move that can be normally used, and Robert's Signature move is more like a Limit Break, dealing both fire and ground damage in the same attack, but can only be used once per battle.

Robert took on quite a few missions for the group until he decided to strike out on his own. He wanted to explore the world, not just stay in one region. During his travels, he received the dream from Arceus. While Robert was pious to Entei, he still believed in the Alpha and decided to follow the instructions of the dream.

Personality: Lilly is often calm and quiet, but she has a big heart and is often the first to help people in need. However, even with the goodness in her heart, she is far from innocent. Her worship loyalties lie with the playful Mew, and her personality reflects it. She can be childish at times, though she hates being called a child. History: Lilly was born in the mercenary band known as the Grey Staraptors. her father, the Gallade Matthias, was the current leader after the original leader died in battle. While her powers favored healing, her interests favored learning the arcane and learning about lost civilizations, reading obscure books and dreaming of coming upon knowledge that no one else had yet to discover.

Her mother was a cunning rogue and showed Lilly how to manipulate those of the opposite gender with her wiles. While this certainly wasn't a preferred means to complete missions, Lilly eventually learned how to act in order to get information from others without scanning their brains with Psychic. She became quite learned in mannerisms and culture. She always loved her parents, but she wanted to write her own legend.

She became close friends with Robert, a runaway Growlithe morph. Unlike her, the boy had a miserable life. At first she was protective of him after learning why he ran away from his home. However, as they both grew, she came to admire his determination and good heart. While he'd often get a headache anytime she tried to explain the workings of the arcane, he knew about things she would never comprehend, things only those who have lived on the streets would know. In a way, they complimented each other. She was the intelligent bookworm and he was a street-smart brawler with a golden heart. In time she became smitten with him.

When Robert decided to head out on his own, Lilly followed him, convinced that perhaps fate led them to meet each other. She had the same dream from Arceus as Robert did, confirming for her that the dream was really a deity trying to contact them for help.

Inventory: Staff, Maid Outfit, Backpack, 5 days rations, 1 Waterskin, Spell Component Pouch, Torch, Bedroll

Techniques: Psychic, Wish, Calm Mind, Heal Bell

Signature Technique: Trance - This is not something that she puts herself into. Rather, this 'mode' activates when she is critically low on health. Trance lasts for three turns. During those three turns, she cannot faint, and her spells take less time to cast. She can even cast if she has used up her normal spells per day allotment. After the three turns are over, she faints, or if her hp is -10 or lower, dies. Sort of a spell-like version of Berserk.

I looked both up, and since those moves were on the moveset they were acceptable. Your characters were accepted, buddy. And just a heads up, your character will be able to learn more moves as the RP goes one. We are just only starting out with four.
