Default Delibird

Delibird

Item: Choice Band
Ability: Hustle
Nature: Adamant
Moveset:
Aerial Ace
Hail
Rapid Spin
Future Sight
Hustle is always a risky Ability due to the 25% Acc. loss, but the good thing is that is boosts Delibird's Attack Stat; so use a physical move that never misses. Choice Band boosts Aerial Ace's power even more. So you have a +Attack Nature, a 50% Attack stat gain, and yet another Attack boost with the Band.
Place an Annoying Sweeper at the lead of your party to KO the Spiker, then switch in Delibird to clear the field. This is more reliable than a Poison type just in case ToxiSpikes wasn't used.

No. Just no. Delibird is the worst spinner in the game. The best advice I can give regarding Delibird is to forget it even exists. Delibird is **** at pretty much everything, there are better options for any role you can possibly give it.

Why Future sight?

And how much damage does a Choice banded, hustle-boosted Aerial Ace actually do? Is it enough damage to sweep?

Depending on the foe, yes. Of course you can't KO a Metagross or Aagron or something, but in my experience it has enough power to OHKO pretty much any foe, or at least get it in the red/orange, which is always useful.

EDIT:
Future Sight? Mainly because, to me, it's one of the most annoying moves ever. I'll be winning a battle and Future Sight kicks in and I die. Which is not fun.

Yeah he is the worst Pokemon that was ever designed and there are other in the same fail level, but if he insists on keeping Delibird, well good luck...

If you go with a ChoiceBand set you could change RapidSpin and FutureSight and change it for some other moves (maybe a Fighting type if he learns something and a filler move that gives you good coverage) Im too lazy to check Smogon right now but there you can find Delis moveset and get some ideas.

Just a quick note, but assuming max stats, Delibird still only hits an attack stat of 458 after choice band and hustle. Pokes with base 90 attack reach that with CB and they don't have to cripple themselves with a really gimmicky ability. On the subject of Hustle, the only way anybody could possibly make Delibird crappier than it already is would be to sabotage your own accuracy. You're making it so that after you've risked switching in delibird to lose half of it's health to SR, it's not even going to get to spin 20% of the time.

Unless it's against a two year old, don't pick Delibird.
