Default Interesting Discovery

Okay, so I'm playing Soulsilver. I successfully captured Raikou, and I look at it's status page. It had a Careful nature, so I go onto Smogon to see what the Careful nature boosts. I discover that it increases Special Defense, but lowers Special Attack. I look back at Raikou's stats page, and where it lists all of Raikou's individual stats (Attack, Speed, etc.) I notice that two of the name of the stats are a different colour to every other stat. My Raikou's Sp.Atk heading was coloured blue, whereas it's Sp.Def heading was coloured red. I checked a few more Pokemon, and was pleased to find that Game Freak had actually indicated which stats was raised or lowered by a Pokemon's nature.

Has anyone else noticed this? I'm glad that I don't have to hop onto Smogon every time I want to see what my Pokemon's nature does. :3

I deduced that:

Red: Increased
Blue: Decreased

Yup yup yup. Its a bit hard to see at first, but the pixels shadows are colored red/blue.

This makes me happy, I don't have to check Serebii for the Natures anymore.

Yep, I noticed that my first day when inspecting my Totodile's stats. It's extremely helpful when you don't know which nature does what.
But I thought it was a silly move on Game Freak's part to make an increase red and a decrease blue, though. It should be the other way around to avoid confusion.

Oh my god. Seriously? I just now looked. XD I cannot believe I didn't notice that...well, then again, they do blend in with the regular shadow tones oh-so-well. XP

That's interesting! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. XD

My guyfriend pointed that out to me within the first week. Of course, he wanted me to check because his DS is screwy - the screen is dying, so his colors are all messed up.

So, yeah, it's true. And I concur; red should be a decrease ^^' But, you know...They're silly XD

I agree, to avoid the confusion, I noticed shortly after the 1st week too. but failed to put the connection to its stats even tho Thats what I was looking at.

I also agree that red should have decreased and blue increased, but at least we got something. ^_^

Ya, the colors should have been switched, but as BlueJello said, at least we got SOMETHING. xDD I'm gald they put indicators in the game because it's quite annoying having to go look it up, and it really helps when you have no internet due to a semi-shoddy company.
