What is environmentalism?
Environmentalism is a socialist movement that was designed to protect the natural environment. However, sadly, the organization has brought more harm than good. Only maddening industries and raising taxes.
The original purpose is a good purpose. We should not purposely harm the environment and we should replant trees we cut down. However, environmentalism has made it harder because of constant riots to prevent the rain forest from being cut down, for instance, which in turn has maddened the industries. The world economy would be in a worse state if the industries closed down.
A plain example of environmentalist riots is riots against cutting down the rain forest. If cutting stopped there would be less farm land, less jobs, and animal's homes would be lost. There are more reasons than just the animals that they want the cutting to stop. They think that our oxygen supply would be cut off if it was cut down. However, little do they realize, if they want to prevent oxygen from being depleted, they would protect the ocean more.
TRUE FACT: Kelp and other sea creatures make up more than 89% of the world's oxygen.
The ocean is the real item that needs to be protected. Due to over fishing from Japan, Iceland, and Greenland (not to mention U.S and England) species of fish are going extinct. Another reason is the co2 emissions coming from boats, planes, factories, and cars have made dead spots in the ocean. These "dead spots" can spread over time.
A dead spot creates no good and can completely destroy all life. The oxygen in the water has been sucked out. Kelp, fish, whales, and other creatures can die within seconds of exposure. If the kelp dies, all life dies.
So again, like many socialist movements, they do not know what is going on.
