Default Could ash survive on his own?

Considering ash has always had a group to travel with since the start of his journey, do you think that he would be able to survive if he had to quest through a region on his own?

There have been times when he's been on his own.
But not for long, he can barley cook.

I agree. First few hours or so, fine... but lost in the middle of nowhere with no sense on how to cook? *splat* And that would be the end of Ash Ketchum.

Possibly survive half a day give or take a few hours. Being unable to cook plus being easily able to get into trouble with Beedrill and Ursarings.

It depends if he has pokemon and pokeballs or not coz he could use his pokemon to deal with the beedrill and ursaring and there are plenty of pokemon have food like teddiursa and tropius so if he caught one of them... theres his food

That also depends on what pokemon he has. His grass-type pokemon are still weak to Poison and Bug-type moves, Beedrill getting STAB from both, and the Ursaring he could've encountered could've shown the same power as Paul's Ursaring where it took out 4 or something of Ash's pokemon in their full battle

true but paul trains his pokemon for strength and power and an ursaring that strong would be very rare in the wild. Plus Ash's Pikachu could deal with the Beedrill.

Oooooouch... I'd hate to see the end result of that. I wonder how long it would take for Jenny to find the remains...

I think Ash would die the hour he'd be away from Brock. Dawn can be taken away. She gives no mutual benefit to Ash.
May was okay. Misty was good because she kept BOTH Brock and Ash out of trouble. However, I digress. Ash could NOT survive on his own.

i think what you are forgetting is that pokemon is an anime meaning there are writers that write what happens to ash and co. if they wanted ash to trawel alone they would probably make him know how to cook. plus i dont remember ash not knowing how to cook.

I think he would be able to survive on his own, but the writers would never let him for more than 1 or 2 episodes. (E.g. When he went back to Pallet after Johto)

Simply because the show would be boring if centered around just one character.

Yeah, I think he could rough it alone. With that being said, it would be very hard for him to get food and such, making his travels that much more painfull.

Plus Rawr is right, only one main human charie would suck. It takes at LEAST two...

Ash needs a man and a woman by his side at all times, he goes both ways.
