Default Friend dying of cancer...

Today it was announced to me and my family that our family friend Francis was going to die. She has advanced cancer in her spleen and liver, and unfortunately it cannot be removed. I have had family die before, like my grandmother, but this was the first time I have seen someone dying of cancer. My mother, however, is most hurt by this. Francis and my mom have been friends since childhood, and this is definitely going to hurt more for her. She needs my support, so I won't be on much. I will come back, but until then, I ask of you to pray for her, regardless of your religion, even if you are atheist. if you leave a message on this thread, please be respectful.

I'm very sorry for your situation, but this doesn't belong in Other Discussion.

I don't know what to say. I would be torn apart if one of my best friends was going to die for any reason at all. The best thing that I can tell you is that you, or your mom should spend as much time as they can together and make the time she has left worthwhile.

I've known a few people that have died from cancer. Most of the time its pretty slow, and its very disheartening to see their condition only worsen as time goes on. Sadly, I've never heard of chemotherapy working out long-term.

All I can say is spend time with her, visit often, and remember the better times you spent with her.

You too? D:

I'm really sorry. T_____T

Sadly, the same is happening to me.

Anyways... try to spend lots of time with her, and make her time left more meaningful.

Again, i'm really sorry. ;-;

I've seen one work before, but that seems to be quite the minority. Also, it sort of makes sense that I'd see more of these types of cases since I am in this field.

Sorry to hear that mate. Cancer is such a debilitating disease...I think making the most out of life would be the best gift one can give to a dying patient, since it is terminal...

I think you just made this troll's day.

Anyways, sorry about your friend. I know what it's like to lose somebody to cancer. My grandpa died a year ago, lung cancer.

I've made it part of my life's work to deal with this menace called cancer. I'll be doing combat with this many times in the upcoming years.

Sorry to hear that, dude.

My grand father died of cancer about five years ago, so you're not alone.

Default Good news

Today Francis was transfered to a new hospital that specializes in cancer research. This development has helped my mom very much, and i think I might be able to return now. For those people who prayed with us, thank you. If all goes well, Francis might beat cancer and live to die another day.(007 ref lol)

May her death not be in vain. It is now that we honor those who have fallen.
