Sharpedo; low defense, high attack.
Sharpedo is called the bully of the Pokémon sea; and it's true! Sharpedo is my favorite Pokémon, I have him on Ruby and I nicknamed him 'Jaws'. My Sharpedo is a Lv.37 and has an attack that has almosted reached 100 without me even giving him one Protein! The attacks my Sharpedo uses are one reason he is always getting stronger, the main attacks used in battle are: Crunch, and Earthquake. Crunch, which is very useful against Ghost Pokémon, which can come in handy against the Elite Four's 2nd Trainer, and Earthquake, which is a tough, powerful move all together. So in simple terms, I would raise a Sharpedo to it's fullest, but also beware of it's Defense rating, it tends to be low.

Sharpedo's are good. I like their dual type. Water and Dark. I think their the only one with that other than Carvahna. I like the Rough Skin ability too. Very good pokemon especially for the elite 4. It resists the Dark, Ice and is super affective on the Ghost.

Re: Sharpedo; low defense, high attack.
Info on how to get Sharpedo on Pokémon Emerald.
Rinn, on Emerald you can find Sharpedo by fishing (using Super Rod) at Routes 103, 118, 122, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, Mossdeep City, and Pacifidlog Town.
*NOTE: You can also raise a Carvanha up to Lv.30 so it can evolve into Sharpedo*

Re: Sharpedo; low defense, high attack.
And Carbos's. Because of their low physical AND special defenses, they need to be fast. They remind me of Shiftry's. It all depends on who attacks first. I like the use Crunch Surf Swagger and Earthquake. Sharpedo's 120 base attack it can sweep like a pro with Crunch and Surf and Eq is there for kicks and Swagger is good for pokemon against pokemon like Shiftry because it resists crunch surf and eq.
Sharpedos stats are very stacked though making it very frail. It has base 40 defense and special defense and a massive base 120 attack and a little lower than average base 70 hp and a good 95 base speed and special attack. They are very good but only if you use them right.

Re: Sharpedo; low defense, high attack.
Sharpedo always has a high attack, to be exact, my Sharpedo has an attack rateing of 141 at Lv.53 (NOTE: I obtained Sharpedo at Lv.31). So all in all, the one thing you must note is the fact Sharpedo and it's pre-evoled form, Carvanha, don't have a high Defensive rating.

What I'm saying is that with Protein, it would be even better.

Re: Sharpedo; low defense, high attack.
dont teach a water attack to sharpedo because water type moves are classed a special attack moves. Alot of people will tell u to teach it waterfall because the attack type split happen in 4gen

Re: Sharpedo; low defense, high attack.
The only Water Attack I would teach it would be Water Pulse, it causes damage, and can also confuse the foe

With a Pokemon as frail as Sharpedo, you're either better off with a surefire confusing move like Swagger, or a harder hitting Water attack.
