Learning Spanish?
Two years of Spanish classes didn't help. Much, anyway. Well, I'd love to learn Japanese, but before I do I want to get past the hurdle of...Español. If I've already spent all this time learning the basics, why not go all the way?
I know I have 100-something dollars in the bank and 50$ on hand, but I don't want to buy anything at the moment. Since I don't care much about speaking it well for the time being, would being a member of a Spanish-speaking forum help? (I'm doing that, but if the forum is grossly inactive (which it looks to be O_O) it will be Mission Failure. Doing a barrel roll! will not help.) Besides, if I spend a long while constantly consulting my online dictionary and sounding out the words in my head, it might even ease me into speaking the language.

Not much help, huh? Sounds like you’ve been taking lessons from my Spanish teacher. :x
Well, if you any questions, you can always PM/VM me. Spanish is my native tongue, so I guess it would be better than having some online dictionary warp a translation. Don’t ask me about accents, though, since I’ve never been properly taught that. The rest of my grammar is fairly good. (However, I haven’t written in Spanish other than class assignments in years, so I’m rusty on spelling). I can help with pronunciations since I can upload voice clips from my laptop as well. ^^ - Kat
