I said the leader could allow the challenger to not have to battle a Trainee. COULD. Meaning, the leader would have the option. Meaning, if there were circumstances that required this to happen, eg: none of the Trainees are around for a while.

But anyways, its not that important to me to keep fighting about it. Lock it. Some nub in the future will try to bring this back.

Jack is right to think negative points of every idea. That's the way debaters think. Why isn't it working right?
I see Jack's point. Some gym trainer's could be even stronger than the gym leader with the proper Tm's.
And without Tm's, the Gym Trainer is defeated easily against experimented trainers.
I vote for this COMPLETELY NEW idea:
1.- Each gym will have an apprentice. A Newbie apprentice.
This Newbie will learn everything about fighting in the URPG. The Gym Leader will be like his "Master", teaching everything they know about fighting in the URPG.
This could prove helpful, to strenghen new people that aren't used to the URPG.
Marth.

Yes, I also agree with Marth's idea. It's been a month, but I've finally got around to post this section.

By having newbies as apprentices, it would be a great jumpstart to their progress in the Ultra Role Playing Game we have here at PokemonElite2000 Forum. They could learn the basic strategies on the gym's type, along with learning from the leader, how to correspond to different situations and attacks that the challengers will give them. The Gym Leader of the gym could help give the apprentices the right Technical Machines and Hidden Machines for their Pokemon, so that way, that can help them grow statistical strategies and improvements of strong gameplay.

Also, the apprentices could also earn money. The payments could be 800/400 or 600/300 for battling against the challenger. This would be a true encouragement because newbies these days would not want to be a trainer in the gym, and don't get paid for trying their best. The idea Marth stated was great, and I truly agree with what he had to say. So, I strongly suggest we keep this open and put it into action immediately once the decision is put.

I dont like this idea. Trainers can go missing as Curtis said and you should be able to just challenge the gym leader. Its really a waste of time in my mind. I think it should be an option. I am not so sure I would want that in my Dewford Gym.
