Maybe the new Diamond and Pearl series will be like YuGiOh! GX where, like Yugi, Ash only makes a brief appearance throughout the series. Maybe in the first episode, the girl character bumps into him and he gives her his Pikachu. (Highly unlikely, but possible) Ash will probably be in there but only for a moment. Hopefully, he will have aged some... I hope Ash is gone for good. He's really annoying...

i really think that instead of pikachu he should have that electric squirrel one. sry i forgot the name

Don't count on Ash being replaced. Ash will be the star of this series, though it maybe he won't be the focus of one episode. After all, if Ash wasn't going to be the star of this new series, they wouldn't had gone through the trouble of showing Ash leaving his Pokemon at Professor Oak's lab then hopping on a boat for this new region with Pikachu (as well as Aipom, who stowed away).

I just wonder what new Pokemon Ash will get (besides one of the starters).
