Journey Across America - What is it?
The Journey Across America will be touring malls all over the country, bringing Pokemon characters and Pokemon activities to each mall. At each stop, players will have a chance to qualify for the Pokemon Video Game National Championships.

The Journey Across America event will visit 24 locations. 24 winners from two age groups (12 and under, and 13 and over) will win a trip for two to New York City in August to participate in the finals of the Pokemon Video Game National Championships.

You will also be able to download Celebi to your game at the event (be sure to bring your GBA/GBA SP and your game pak). Also, twenty additional Pokemon will also be available. These top twenty Pokemon were voted by fans at the official website and are now available for download at the event. The twenty additional Pokemon are: Bulbasaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, Alakazam, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Dragonite, Typhlosion, Espeon, Umbreon, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Tyranitar, Blaziken, Absol, Latias, and Latios.
