Square Enix and the Pokemon Company: "Pokemate" for Mobile Phones!

Square Enix, best known for their production of the Final Fantasy series, and the Pokemon company is teaming up to create a communication tool with chat and mail called the "Pokemate." Of course, Pokemate will offer the features of chat and mail through Pokemon characters. The program will be available on Foma 900i series phones and will be released in Japan this summer. It will cost 210 yen per month, which translates to about $1.83 US dollars.

There's no word on a US release for the Pokemate, however, there is the Pokemon Mobile service which offers Pokemon wallpapers and Pokemon ringtones for mobile phones at www.pokemon.com/mobile/

Pokemate- what really happens at the "Day Care Center".
It looks cool though. Too bad Verizon doesn't support it. Otherwise, my phone would be tricked out with Pokemon stuff.
