Good Raikou M-Set
After leaving my Sharked Pokemon Ruby to sit for nearly six or seven months, I've decided that I'm going to start raising some of the Mon I'd hacked. One of them is a Raikou. So far this is what he's got:
T-Bolt/Roar/Calm Mind/Rest
I've been thinking about replacing Roar with Rain Dance and T-Bolt with Thunder, but I'm not sure. This is the first time in years I've ever even put a Raikou in my team, let alone raised one, so I'm not sure how he's best used. Anyone got some suggestions?

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
Maximise its speed and spec attack evs.
Level up and learn crunch if you're going to use calm mind.
I'd recommend a modest or timid nature, maybe even calm.

I like that second M-Set, considering Kou's bad Defense. And Shewi, Kou's Speed and Spe Atk don't need to be maxed out. What does need to be maxed out is it's Defense. Though a faster Kou with more bite to its T-Bolt is appealing.

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
Yeah. I'd say balance out defense and hp evs and teach it reflect if you want more defense. If you're doing double battles, pair raikou up with an intimidating pokemon for the best results.

Lol, no. Raikou is a Special sweeper, which means you have to give lots of Satk and Spd:
Raikou @ Leftovers
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
EVs: 60 HP / Max Spd / Rest in Satk

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
Special defense can be nice on Raikou too ... Physical defense is a waste though.

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
Calm mind usually does the job for Sdef, though. You should concentrate on Spd and Satk imo

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
I just checked Raikou's stats and apparently it is good at special attacks and special defense. So,Calm Mind is a great move.As for Roar, replace it with Crunch.

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
if you don't get a decent powered hiddenpower:grass/ice ingame, i'd reccomend crunch over roar.. leave that to suicune or skarm imo

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
Yeah, the HP for 'Kou was Ghost ><. So...how's this look?
Calm Mind/Thunderbolt/Crunch/Reflect
I don't know if it's all Raikou, but mine has a horrible Defense score. So since no EV's go into Def, I'd like to keep Reflect on him. Or should I put in something else?

Re: Good Raikou M-Set
i think reflect would also prevent dugtrio from ohko'ing... sub does that also though, but also prevents status and things so i guess its your choice really.
