ASB: BattlesThe main arena of the ASB League. The place where all the action happens. A place where you can see if all your hard work and well-earned cash will pay off in the place where trainers dreams and hopes can be made or broken
Draco was as content as a limbless serpent of legend could be. Looking at Lang, the poor fur ball was so tired out he could barely stand. He felt more and more secure about his position in the battle and was going to make sure he kept it that way. The gem on the Dratini’s forehead glowed in a white colour, before multiple white orbs started to spin around its body, creating a multi colored shield around it. The barrier then faded just a bit in colour, but nevertheless, it was still quite visible on a nice day out like today.
Draco used Reflect! Draco -6 Energy, damage from physical attacks is multiplied by .5
Lang on the other hand, was not feeling so great about the situation, but a ray of hope came when he felt the muscles in his legs beginning to loosen up. He could feel the excess static fading away from his fur, and he could even wiggle all the toes on his paw now. With the feeling of relaxation coming over his body, Lang knew he needed to sit down for a second. Putting his rear end on the ground, the feline stretched and took a few seconds rest. He could feel just a bit more energy coming to him from a quick cat nap, but he still felt very tired nonetheless.
Lang was freed from Paralysis!
Lang chilled. Lang +6 Energy
Draco watched his opponent let his guard down for once. If Lang was going to take a nap on him, then he was going to take advantage of that, and get back his power that was lost to him from the very beginning of the battle. After all, if something was sleeping on him, how scary could that really be? Draco opened his tiny maw wide and let out a smoky, cold fog that covered the entire arena. Lang looked around, getting up to see if it was some kind of trick, but it didn’t affect him in any way. Draco on the other hand, felt a bit more buff after the fog had cleared.
Draco used Haze! Draco -6 Energy. All stat changes were reset.
The Shinx didn’t like the looks of what just happened, and since he felt a bit more energized, he figured he could use the dragon’s least favorite trick. Lang pushed off again, fangs brimming with all the power of Listerine and snow cones. Two bluish white lines of energy appeared before Lang, as he bit down hard on Draco once more. However, this time was different; looking at Draco, he seemed to be even less affected by the attack than before. Lang didn’t even realize that he was well protected by his little shield. Draco looked satisfied, but Lang was the complete opposite.
Lang used Ice Fang! Lang -15 Energy, Draco -7 HP. [6.5 rounded up to 7]
Lang then felt his insides burning once again, only this time, it was worse than before. He clenched his fangs together at the unsettling pain, but still did his best to ignore it.

Volcano [Cyndaquil] ♂ Ability: Blaze Signature Move: Solar Punch
Spoiler:
Cyndaquil love basking in the sun, for hours even. This one learned how to make use of it. When the conditions are normal, or it is sunny, Volcano can absorb the sun and concentrate it to maximum levels, releasing the energy with his fists. This speedy punch is close-range, meaning Volcano is left vulnerable if it misses. If the attack misses, Volcano's defenses are lowered two stages for one turn. May cause flinching.

Draco was just getting warmed up, but apparently his trainer had other ideas. Typhlosion Explosion pulled a poké ball from his pocket and held it up, pointing it at his Dratini; the dragon growled at Lang and then was pulled back into the storage device, ready in case he was needed again later in the battle. In his place, the trainer sent out a small, blue mammal with a long snout and squinted eyes. Volcano stood on his stubby hind legs and made squeaky noises as he sized up the bedraggled opponent he had been matched up with.
If Draco had been annoyed by this change, then Lang was even more so - he barely stood a chance as it was, let alone against a fresh, well-rested opponent. He lay down gently on the grass, and began to relax as well as he could without shutting his eyes. He wasn’t foolish enough to do that in the middle of a battle.
Since his opponent wasn’t doing anything, Volcano decided to get things moving. He could feel heat beginning to build up inside him. Before long, the red spots on his back had ignited into roaring orange flames. Lang watched with apprehension, but was still too tired to do anything about it. A torrent of raging fire erupted from Cyndaquil’s snout, engulfing Lang in moments. The lion cub howled and rolled around, trying to snuff out his burning fur on the smouldering grass.
Shinx growled at Cyndaquil, wishing he could do something to get back at him. It would be pointless though, he couldn’t do anything yet. He was tired and his insides were burning from the poison that flowed through his veins. He lay down and waited a little longer to regain his energy. Maybe he would be able to do something to spite his foe a bit later.
