Could mean silver. Or Sylvia if it's normal type and they couldn't think of anything.
I like Sylveon better than Ninfia. Fits 'eon' better xD Could've also been 'Ninfeon' too

Re: Revealed Pokemon Thread, Eeveelution revealed -Ninifa
The only closes I can relate to it, is the word Sylph.
'The term originates in Paracelsus, who describes sylphs as invisible beings of the air, his elementals of air.'
Sylph is also the lightest Eevee and in the video, it's tails and bows are moving around like in the wind.
I wouldn't be surprised if this Pokemon is Normal/Flying, since I don't think it will be a pure Flying type.

Yea, a Sylph is typically an air elemental so I'm inclined to think that it will be a flying or dragon type. I don't think it will be a dual type because it goes against the tradition of every other eeveelution.

Re: Revealed Pokemon Thread, Eeveelution revealed -Ninifa
Sylveon will most likely be between Normal and/or Flying type.
It doesn't have the characteristics of a Dragon type, nor does it have the menacing looks upon which a Dragon type would be based off of. But since we're all just throwing random types out, it'll be steel type for sure.

Yes, very old. Only a few hours, in fact.
All evidence points to Flying, in my opinion. That said, I immediately thought of silver when I heard the name, so perhaps a potential Steel typing wouldn't be all that far-fetched.

It wouldn't me steel either, it doesn't have the metallic looking shinies all over it's body. I mean we can argue over it all night and day, but the fact remains that it'll most likely be a Flying and/or Normal.

I'm still kinda sad that we will probably just get one new evolution. It's weird because they always revealed new eeveelutions in pairs. Oh well. At least there is one at all.

Nor does Mawile...
My guess is on Normal. As far as I can tell, it uses Normal type moves in the trailer (giga impact [?], trump card, swift). Unless they change Eevee's base moveset, it can't learn swift as of Gen V (though it could in Gen IV through move tutor). However, they could have just given it those moves to use in the trailer so that it didn't hint specifically at its type. It would have been pretty obvious if it came out with Air Slash or something like that. I'm still hoping for flying, although the ribbons and colours point to Normal.

Doesn't prove anything but it's cool. O:
Anyways, I think Game Freak made it to where it only used Normal moves to not give off it's possible typing. :P
