Is RNG cheating?

This is one of the most controversial topics in competitive battling. Is abusing the Psuedorandom Number Generator cheating?
I personally think it falls in the Gray Scale Area or Legit Cheating. Basically, it results into legit Pokemon but the ways you obtained it are a bit unethical.

Personally, I'm going to go with what Nintendo says, and say it's not cheating.
Simply because you are using legit Pokemon.
However, I don't use RNG bred Pokemon in my competitive battling.
I do have them, but only to trade to people who want them.
Like you said, it's a very gray area, and quite controversial.

I don't think it's cheating at all. It's simply taking advantage of in-game code properly designed to do what it was meant to do. Taking advantage of something is not always a bad thing.

Cheating devices from outside sources is, hence the name, cheating. Those cut straight through coding to deliver easy and unrewarding results.

I agree with this. RNG is the use of the in-game coding without forcing other code or variables into it, therefore I don't consider it cheating.
