Experince Level (have battled before) : Well I'll be honest and say im completely new to wifi battling and competitive playing, however i've been playing pokemon for many years now and you can expect me to know the basics. I'm not familiar with some more advance aspects of battling but that's why im here ^_^
About Me:I love pokemon! I play multiple hours a day and since joining this website i've really been getting interested in getting much better at battling, my favorite pokemon is tyranitar because he is a BAWS. Honestly i'd appreciate any sort of help I can get and i'm really not sure what kind of playstyle I want because I want to learn as much as I can before I make my own style of playing.
Wifi/PO:WIFI!!!

4th gen would be easy ! but we can talk about the 5th gen ! also we can get you some pokemon to help you get started ! The goal of the association is to talk about what pokemon you like and how to get them to work together !

that would be awesome man, because i'm pretty sure I cant transfer my pokemon from platinum until i beat black 2 -___- lol. I was thinking a solid team would be 2 dragon types 1 steel type 1 ice/water type 1 fire type and 1 fighting type. Do you think this would do well? in the OU tier

Well the 5th gen is filled with weather teams. I would build a team with the knowledge that drizzle teams will be showing up a lot. So youll need something to combat the toad and the boosted watter attacks.

Ah okay, so having a venasaur or something similar with sunny day and solar beam would be a good idea instead of maybe 1 of the dragons?

Welcome to the group! Competitive battling is really about testing what works. To start you should name 6 pokemon you really like

no arcanine is just like an inferior infenape and infernape sucks these days due to his fraility and alkc of attacking stats, he si no terrkion thats for sure.
Alakazam and scizor can work togther alakazam loves weakend mons and scizor can give him them with u turning into kazam and as a bonus alakazam will be unharmed as either something switches out of scizor or hits it before u turn.
Choice band and focus slash set are recomended but a life orb set could work
so
the three of them working togther? No
Alakazam and scizor, yes
