Everyone is cocky about the second typing. They might not even HAVE one. xD some Fire types can use Earthquake, that doesn't make them part Ground though.
Snivy's movepool does suck, case closed. xD
It's bumming me out you're already classifying them as useless. I'm not worried about the metagame right now. D<
To set things straight, however, Chandelure is already OU. If it had Contrary it'd be uber.
Legendaries breedable? X3 I'm glad they're changing things up here, but it would defeat the point.
I wouldn't start popping your tops if you don't even know the second type (or if there is one). Gen II starters were the best imo, and they didn't have any secondary types. Who's to say these guys will?
For the record, Fire/Normal would be PWN. Normal types are cuties, and Fennekin is the cutest thing I've ever seen. xD

Snivy watches you while you shower >:D
As to the starters having second types or not, Gen I had only Squirtle's line staying single-type. Gen II had all starters staying single-type. Gen III had only Treecko's line staying single-type. Gen IV had all dual-types. Gen V had only Tepig's line becoming dual-type. It's therefore very likely that all will be dual-type if the pattern holds.

Re: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y Speculations
Sarah with Snivy's Dream World ability it became a part of the competitive battling scene..So despite a poor movepool it did okay for itself
Also we expecting another Grass/Ground starter??

NOPE. HOPEFULLY NOT. DDDDD:
By bet is on Grass/Dark. Sadly it is a weakness. No one can be truly sure though.

That would cause Froakie's family to be 4x weak to Chespin's Grass.
Besides wasn't Swampert enough troll?

Who said it needed to evolve back into the Legendary? Look at Manaphy and Phione :3
And I think, Ty, "Perversity" was the Japanese named turned English. Similar to how Dragon Rush was originally Dragon Dive and such ;)
FUN FACTS WITH GRASSY.

Re: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y Speculations
Breedable and pre-evolutions of legendaries?
Rediculous speculations.
I'm hoping they'll bring out a whole new set of pokemon, with a bigger regional map, and a bigger criminal plot, because the plot in B/W2 was incredibly stupid.
If Fennekin evolved into a mystical wolf-like creature like "Amaterasu" in Okami, I would EV/IV the hell out of him, he would become the ultimate badass pokemon of all time.
I also hope the Rival in the game is like a Relative or a Real Rival, like Gary. I took pleasure in beating his ass into the ground while being at a disadvantage, made me feel like a pro, lol.

Re: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y Speculations
OK, I just realized something.
As many know, the games seem to be somewhat themed in genetics/DNA. going off of that, as it turns out there are Z and W chromosomes (I think they're paired but I don't remember). If the pattern of dual sequels maintains itself, then...Pokemon W and Z anyone?

On top of that, the Z and W axes respectively denote the Third and Fourth Dimensions in space, so Pokémon W and Z as Gen VI sequels is possible.

The Lengendary Musketeers turned out to be a quartet, why not the Latin Letters?

Re: Pokemon X and Pokemon Y Speculations
Yhea, WXYZ was kind of the thing. A quartet, possibly with W and Z paired closer to each other than X and Y (and vice versa).
Also, does anyone sense a Poison-Dark type Legend coming? considering it's DNA going on, something to showcase a 'mutation' in the gene seems appropriate. Like, a fifth Pokémon out of those four. That, and its something for poison-type fans to get excited about. "A Poison Legend! AT LAST!!! GAMEFREAK HAS STARVED US OF OUR FAVORITE TYPE'S LEGEND NO FURTHER!" Alternatively, with the Axis theme, a Psychic-Dark type Legend even more an otherworldly beast than Giratina to represent W (the fourth dimension we've yet to discover).
Also, considering the DNA theme, do A, T, G and C Pokémon sound horribly out of place? A Pokémon would do well with T Pokémon, and G Pokémon would do well with C Pokémon (as A binds to T and G binds to C in DNA). They might be Legends, they might not be Legends, but that sounds likely, eh? (Assuming the theme is DNA, again).
