My opinion? Snorlax would be a much better pokemon than Entei or Articuno. I’d stick that in somewhere. Anyways:

Alakazam: This guy’s a speedy man, and you probably wouldn’t want to change that. Leftovers is fine, but I’d prefer Miracleberry on it instead for the free PRZ free card. Psychic, Recover are must haves on any Zam, while the other 2 should be taken from this list: Ice punch, Fire Punch, Thunderpunch, Thunderwave, Reflect, Counter. Counter’s really a surprise move when you pull it on a Snorlax or whatnot, but it obviously really only works once, so you have to have decent prediction skills for it. Reflect would benefit your party, especially since you’ve got no physical tank to withstand a Snorlax’s Double-edge. So I’d lean towards one of those two, and a punch for variety.

Gengar: Gengar, like Zam, is a speedy sweeper type character. I’m a personal fan of the Thunderbolt/Ice Punch/Explosion/Filler set, where filler could be counter (I have a personal liking for that move, so sue me >_>), Substitute, Hypnosis, or anything really, its movepool is too large to mention the possibilities.

Zapdos rocks. Of course you can’t possibly get HP Grass/Ice/Water on it… My favourite set on it is the Sleep talk/Rest/Thunderbolt/Drill Peck set. Its defenses don’t suck, and this gives it the chance for survival.

Lapras: My fav set here is actually Ice beam/THUNDER/ Rest/Sleep Talk. Thunder’s nice 30% PAR is extremely useful, and with its huge HP and decent defenses, it’s not like it’ll die anytime soon when missing. And when it hits…

Articuno: I actually don’t have a lot of experience with this bird, seeing as it’s not a particularly useful character. Especially with Lapras as your ice type, I’d just throw this away for a Physical attacker, something your team sorely needs.

Gyarados is a no-no really for Ous (This isn’t RSE :x), so I’d stick Snorlax there. Earthquake over Snore and it’d be perfect for your team. (IMHO Double-edge is better than Body Slam, but that’s because I prefer the 120 power.)

You’d need a last member for your team, and I wouldn’t suggest either Entei or Houndoom, they’re bot special based. Your opponent pulls out a blissey and takes out your Snorlax, you’re dead. Perhaps you have a physical pokemon in storage somewhere?

With a lineup of Azam, Gengar, Zapdos, Lapras and Snorlax, PLEASE PLEASE watch out for anything that has Earthquake combined with possibly Rock slide. So, Rock/Ground types like Rhydon. It may not switch into Lapras, but if it does to your Zapdos, that Rockslide is going to hurt like a mofo. Your special D area is fine with Lax, but you’re sorely lacking anything that resists another Snorlax really, as if they can prevent you from setting up curse… Then you’re finished.

Thank you so much for the reply, I've come a little way from that last post.

I've been leveling up my guys, and my current team is Houndoom, snorlax, alakazam, entei, gengar, and zapdos.

I think houndoom takes care of entei's fire spot, and I can't get any good moves on my Zapdos. What should I do? Is it so bad to have my friend gameshark the moves I need on my zapdos/etc? What do I do to counter rock types aside from Snorlax?

I'm in class right now, so this is rushed... sorry if I missed anything :)

Hmm, as mlugia already said, you kind of lack Physical sweeping, aside from Snorlax, Machamp would be a nice choice since it used to be quite nice in GSC.

actually if this is going to be a competitive team, i.e playing against people who know what they are doing vital throw over cross chop if youre cursing, that way he cant be roared or WWind out. If not, then cross chop is probablt the better choice

also eq on lax instead of snore...I dont care for snore

Snore sucks on Lax. Ew. Earthquake or Sleep Talk over Snore.

No offense, but I don't think he needs to worry about "competitive battling", as most in-game players (99% of the world) don't use Roar in the correct scenarios anyway.

True.

Also note that if something physical successfully switches in against your team, you're going to have a hell of a time trying to switch anything in on it, as your entire team is pretty physically def-weak (Lacking resistances, that is).

I mean, lax does have 523 HP, but how long is that going to hold up if you're absorbing another Lax's DE every time you switch in :s

Do you play with Steelix nightly? :o

Unless the Lix is of the Curse/Roar type, I don't think Lax would see too much trouble with it, unless he doesn't keep the HP up above 300 anyways.

I'll rethink a new party and post it later; I'm dead set on using Alakazam Gengar Houndoom and Snorlax, though :)

I also think this part is _much more_ than enough to beat the newbs at school. Think my level ~60 guys can take their level ~80? They all use ubers out the rear too :) (Mew/Mewtwo at lvl 100)

EDIT:
I have a level 59 suicine, with horrible moves (bite, mist, water gun, bubble beam) =\
Suicine
Surf
Rest
Ice Beam
Roar

Where do I get the moves? Gameshark em?
