Default Favorite Evolution Method?

Is there one type of evolution that you just love? I personally perfer level-up method, just because I feel as if I earned their evolutions and they still get stronger each level.

The stones are okay, but they seem too easy for me.

I am a person who likes instant gratification. Level ups are sometimes too slow. Trading takes two DS'es, which means 9/10 times, one other person (fortunately, I have two DS'es, but you get the idea). Trading with items is even worse. Friendship can get worse than level-ups, especially if the Pokemon is Eevee and you want one particular Eeveelution (hitting Max happiness at night when you want an Espeon...URGH!). The more unique evolutions are usually the more time-consuming ones, even if it's just one level.

All-in-all, Evolutionary Stones are my favorite. Short and simple. Unless the Pokemon is one of the monkeys, but otherwise, short and simple.

i like the evolutions at higher levels, not too high like psuedo legendaries and dragon types. but somewhere around lv 30-40, flygon is a nice example of this, hes a total bro, and best of all, hes worth it, vibrava is weak, it can barely defeat anything, but flygon is a powerhouse, the statisfaction of evolving a pokemon after lots of training is priceless.

I personally like happiness evolutions, as it's always a nice and generally unexpected surprise when it happens.

I love the trading of Karrablast and Shelmet. I think it's a neat idea, having them activate one another. The interaction was novel, in my opinion.

I like level up evolutions as well. It's nice having to work for something and having a goal level to aim for.

If a Pokemon evolves by stone I usually won't evolve it because I don't like wasting items that are hard to get. (In games where you can buy/find stones easily, it obviously doesn't matter, but then I have to make sure the Pokemon has all the moves I want it to have as well.)

Happiness would be my second favourite. I agree with Not Safe For Adults, it's fun not knowing when it will happen. Every level-up is exciting!

I actually like Hold-Item and Trade evolutions.

the reason i like then so much, is that un-like evolution stones, the pokemon that evolve by trade still learn the same moves as it's pre-evolved forms, even after evolution, same with Held-Item evolutions. (i.e Electabuzz ==> Electavire)

I love both the stones and the level-up. I love the stones because it can sometimes be hard to get the one you're looking for, so it can be challenging. I love the level-up method because I feel so proud when my Pokemon evolves.

I don't really like trade evolutions, because there's nobody to trade with but myself and it feels a little lonely :(

I don't like trade, held-item level up either. DX

I didn't used to have 2 DSs, and I couldn't get my brother to let me use his and it was just a mess. Held item level up is kinda boring. X3

My favorite is Evolutionary Stones, Level Up, Level up at certain locations, and friendship.

1) Typhlosion is level up
2) Ampharos is level up
3) Jolteon is evolutionary Stone
4) Leafeon is level up at certain location
5) Togekiss is Friendship and Evolutionary Stone
6) Dragonite is level up

Which leads to...

1st Favorite: Level Up
2nd Favorite: Evolutionary Stones
3rd Favorite: Level up at certain location
4th Favorite: Friendship

*points to signature where first six favorite Pokemon are in order from left to right*

I tend to get really attached to my Pokemon and give them nicknames and things, so when one of my Pokemon evolves through friendship, it makes me really happy ahah. It's the little things in life~
