Of course, the scenery is beautiful - Route 2 is renowned for the hot sun and the clear skies. The Chimchar appears to be loving this warm temperature, and you can't help but take big gulps of the fresh open air. You were sure of it - this is what it meant to be journeying.

Whilst the two of you contemplated the wild Pokemon that could possibly appear in the area, your feelings towards the creatures changed from one of excitement to that of concern. All around you were wild Pokemon fleeing from their homes - Makuhita rushed from their secret caverns, Aipom swung from tree to tree and several Spinarak scuttled away from their nests. What on earth could be causing such a commotion? Could the Pokemon sense something you could not?

Of course they could. Suddenly, the ground beneath you began to shake. 'It's an earthquake!', you thought to yourself, alarmed.

Quick! Hurry back to Route 1!

You enjoy the warm sunshine of Route 2. Suddenly shadows fall across the route. A flock of wild Hoppip float past on the breeze. One lone Hoppip trails a little further behind the others. Just as it's above your head, the wind dies down. The Hoppip comes tumbling to the ground.

Wild Hoppip appeared! Write a paragraph if you want to catch it!

As they walk through, JC see something floating around past the tree line. Chimchar looks up to him.
"Chimmm?"

JC looks down.
"IM not sure. Looks like the Earthquake must have gotten some of the pokemon in hiding to come out. You want to check it out?"

Chimchar nods, and the three go see what it is.

They see a Hoppip floating around. Chimchar runs out after it. The Hoppip moves in quick slapping Chimchar with a tail whip. Chimchar swings but misses. The Hoppip stays ahead coming in for tackle knocking Chimchar down.

JC looks worried.
"You cant catch it Ashley ! lets use the surrounds to your advantage!"

The chimchar stumbles back, into a pile of leaves...It looks down for a second then smiles.
"Char!!"

Chimchar picks up leaves and as Hoppip approaches again. This time, Chimchar throws up the leaves and uses ember to start them on fire. Hoppip flies into the burning leaves, the fire hurts Hoppip who drops onto the ground. Chimchar then runs in letting out out a series of fury swipes.

JC takes out a pokeball and throws it at Hoppip.

JC watches the ball stop rolling. He runs over bending down next to Chimchar.
"Let me look at you Ashley ! "
Chimchar steps forward.
"Are you okay ??"

Chimchar nods. Licking her arm.
"Chimm, Chimchar.."

JC smiles
" Such a tough girl arent you !"

JC stand up.
"Ready to keep moving PJ?"

Charchar jumped up in down.
"Char Char !!"

JC pushes through the tall grass scoping out the trees.
"PJ, if you find one let me know before you eat it. Some berries can be bad for a human to eat."

You look through the tall grass. While you're searching for something to eat, something catches the corner of your eye. There seems to be something purple swinging through the trees... it disappears when you turn around.

You focus straight ahead, waitng for the thing to move again. This time you turn at the right moment and catch sight of a small purple monkey hanging from a tree branch. It dives into the leaves when it sees you looking. Looks like this one is shy! You'll have to flush it out if you want to battle it!

Wild Aipom appeared! Write a paragraph about the battle if you want to catch it!
