Pokemon you never used but always wanted to.

I recently picked up Pokemon Blue and started playing it again. This time around I found myself picking different pokemon than my initial run through all those years ago. I caught a Nidoran and started training it realizing that even though it would take forever to get its best moves I would keep it along with me.

What pokemon did you really want to battle with but neglected in either Red/Blue/Yellow or Gold/Silver/Crystal ?

Parasect, definitely. I used one in Pokemon Stadium and it knew Spore, Mega Drain, Slash, and Growth, so I was impressed from the get-go. Then I lucked into a fight with someone slower than Parasect. Thanks to RBY rules, every time they woke up, I put them back down again. Six Growths later, I could Mega Drain anything. So yeah, that was fun.
Also a lot of the strong rare Pokemon from the Safari Zone, Kangaskhan, Tauros, Chansey, Scyther, Pinsir. Anyone would have been a blast to try out in the original series.

Tauros was one that I always wanted to battle with and as I make my way to the Safari Zone.

There are a whole lot of Pokemon I always wanted to use, including Seadra, Kingler, Tentacruel, Victreebel, Aerodactyl, Sandslash, Jolteon, Flareon, Lapras, Cloyster, Starmie and Marowak.

I cut down the list by finally playing through LeafGreen with Tentacruel, Jolteon, Sandslash, Aerodactyl, Victreebel and Charizard. I believe it was the first time I ever played through a Kanto game without picking Bulbasaur. xD

I picked Bulbasaur in every single game haha. And I love Vaporeon so I always evolved my Eevee into Vappy. It was interesting playing with different Pokemon. Next time I'll have to get Flareon! Seadra has a pretty cool design. There are so many nice Kanto water types, it's hard to choose.

with 14 water types to choose from it was hard for anyone to really play through the game with all of them.

I generally picked Charmander always, so I never really got into other types of fire-type pokemon. I've always loved Rapidash. I think I'm going to start playing again!

I really wanted to use foretress in pokemon crystal, but i didnt know how to get it, so instead i choose rhydon. I aslo wanted to use bisharp in pokemon white, but i never got to that point

Hmm...I've always wanted to use Ninetales and I almost did, but ended up not using her. Also, Pinsir, it's such a hassle to get. I've been replaying my Blue, Yellow, and Leaf Green, and I'm trying to get Pinsir, but he freaking -Insert screaming here- Seadra I would use, but the majority of the time, I either pick Squirtle or Charmander and end up using Lapras when picking Charmander. Now I think I should reset this gameplay...

I love Growlithe, I have a shiny one on my Pokemon Black.

I'm going to replay my red version with squirtle and get a rapidash when I can.

I really alwayts wanted those extemrely rare pokemon that hard to find and near impossible to find in games... I always wanted a bulbsuar in pokemon diamond, heartgold and black... but they are impossible to find unless you trade them from a game that you got them as starters.
