Smile Double Battle Tactics

Now, as i'm well aware, the double battle scene isn't nearly as prevalent as the single. However, I've come up with some tactics that add a little spice to the double battle scene. Here is one of my tactics that I like to use to get my opponent in a pickle or get the last laugh.

1) The HynoLock: When a pokemon is put to sleep and made incapable of switching out.
In order for myself to pull this off, it is a little difficult. I use an all bird team and some move pools such as this is a little limited. I use a Noctowl and Honchkrow as my members to pull this off. Noctowls have naturally high special defense and defense which makes them pretty good at holding off attacks. Honchkrow is fast yet fragile when used as a sweeper. This is merely a suggestion of pokemon to be used. Any pokemon with the ability of putting a poke'mon to sleep and keeping them in battle is good for this. For you uber users Darkrai is a good choice because of his ability to hit both opponents to sleep at the same time permitting sleep clause isn't activated. Simply put, This technique allows the user to deal damage and continue to deal damage and formulate other plans while keeping his opponent annoyed and preoccupied with trying to live. To add insult to injury it's always fun to confuse the opponent as well.

For now i'll contribute just this one. Feel free to contribute and add your opinions. I would love to learn more tactics from other trainers who enjoy double battles as I do and learn news ways to make the double scene fun and creative. (Thread will be updated daily)

what if you used a wobbuffet and another pokemon with a sleep introducing move, wobbuffets ability (shadow tag) would prevent both pokemon from switching out on the same turn, and the other pokemon could use hypnosis (or something). sadly, there is no way wobbuffet could learn something like hypnosis, so the other pokemon would have to use hypnosis twice, and wobuffet would be pretty useless while the pokemon are sleeping, but still…

An excellent point. Chandelure gets Shadow Tag too. It could stat up like there's no tomorrow.

Yay! Brownie points for me.
