I'm glad to see the science has not completely stalled out, we can still produce new insights that shake the very foundation of what we all believe as a species. If it's proven, there will be some much needed upheaval in a field where complacency has run rampant.

And what exactly makes you think that theoretical physicists are complacent? You don't think they spend 9 billion dollars on the LHC for nothing, do you?

The appearance of the particles moving faster than light was caused due to the movement of the satellites that were measuring the departure and arrival times. The movement of the satellites was not taken into account for the experiment. Mystery solved gang.
