^ First abstract banner, ever. I love it with all my heart now. c:

^First vector in ... uh ... I guess a long time. .____.;; Also submitted in WAR.

^Sorta getting into a simple banner here, with, yes a flow and focal point. There's also a blurred background to make it have some depth. I also made the text very simple, I would pick a better font for the first text, though. Anyway, yeah, very simple.

Seriously.. This is actually probably the best one of the 5 you did. I dunno why, It just seems like a lot more effort was put into it. I mean, They're ALL good, and they all look cool. But from the opinion of me, as a fellow graphics artist, the one you did for me really just stands out in way that's like "I'm the only one that makes sense."

I dunno, maybe I'm biased because it was a gift to me. But I'm still saying it looks the best out of the 5.

UPDATE.

The tutorial was originally a lot more work, lots of steps, and meant for Photoshop (and I use GIMP). I was inspired by the final results, so I decided to mimic the concept a little. The concept of the original tag in the tut was amazing. XD But I tried. I'll try to follow the tut again. c: (I'm no sure if it's other people's screens or mines, but I've been told there's too much contrast, even though I'm looking at it, and there seems to be a fair amount of contrast.)


Also another tutorial inspired me. Once again, the tut was meant to be followed on PS. XD It was pretty simple, I might make a tutorial for this, maybe not. Eh, I'm lazy, but hey, if people like it, I could try it. xP

Anyway, yeah, basically I'm trying other styles than only having smudging or c4d's, which was I've done in previous updates. So, cracking out of my old habits, and trying new things. Hope you guys like the change a little. xD I'm also trying to work on my concepts in my work. =]

Well, I could do that, but the fire would look really fake, and just unrealistic.

I actually love both edits, one looks a little more realistic colors and the other, I had a little fun with colors.

Random icon coloring with more red colors. And a little bit of texture.

I was following a smudge tutorial for GIMP, but I wasn't exactly happy with the results. =P I'm glad I tried, though.

I'm also adding a poll to what kind of tutorial I should make. Icon Vs Banner. What should I make? I'm planning on making a tutorial eventually, but I wanted to see what pe2k had to think and stuff.
