Re: Should homosexuals be allowed to marry?
Uh, hells to the yeah. I don't want to go too much into my beliefs, but I am Christian, and I highly support gay marriage. But LS is right; why are we even making a thread about this kind of stuff? In my personal opinion, people who post here that don't believe in allowing gay marriage look like bigots. Just a thought.

lol @ Christians who support gay marriage.
I guess everyone with different opinions are bigots nowadays though.

Because this matter actually. Well. Matters? The U.S is constantly squabbling about making it legal or not.

While I'm not going to disagree that it is "lying", it's successfully doing what I've explained. They've found a loophole and exploited it, and there's nothing that the Feds can do about it. I thought I made that clear in my post, oh well.

Re: Should homosexuals be allowed to marry?
To be fair, the comments "This is a Pokemon forum, why bring this up" are moot points in the Discussion section. This is meant to be a place to bring up serious real-world issues.
Also, when everyone was saying "What sort of school condones homophobia?", I never read it like that. Some schools teach religions' views to homoseuality, and so through that, have to say "Some people think homosexuality is a sin," - fair enough, I had to bite my tongue throughout my RE lessons - but I don't think his school actually condoned homophobia. Unless I just missed that sentence...
Anyway, to the topic at hand - yes, I think homosexuals should be allowed to marry. Granted, it's not something that's at the top of my 'to-do' list, but if I met someone who did want to marry, I wouldn't say no. Marriage may be considered as this "holy ceremony", but really, all it is is two people saying they want to spend the rest of their lives with each other. Why should anybody be denied that.
Also, my experience with the RE GCSE questions says you should put a group of people who agree with the statement, a group who don't, and then your own opinion.

Oh ok so nobody will listen to me even though I'm right.
Keep discussing about something that's better left alone.

That, and what I said. Marriage wasn't some idea concocted by any Christian faith. It was around in areas where homosexuality was openly accepted and well before then.
@LS This is the Other Discussion, and this is a political and philosophical argument.

It's not so much exploiting a loophole as it is simply a matter of the Fed not caring.

The Feds cannot do anything about it, it's a state by state issue.

Exactly, the Fed doesn't care...

There's a huge difference between not caring and not being able to infringe on State rights. If you honestly can't see that, then you are just being foolish.
