I'm having a problem with uploading the avatar I want. It's the animated Houndoom sprite from Pe2k's sprite resource. I've saved it to my laptop, but whenever I upload it it comes out as a still image of the first frame in bad quality. It also happened with an animated Suicune avatar. Am I the only one who is getting this problem, and how can I fix it?
Late reply: animated icons do not work as far as I've noticed, no idea why. They stopped working after Ryan changed something in the forums a while ago.

I finished Gold with a pokedex of 6.

Avatar
The avatar is the image that will appear next to your name in your posts. By going to the Edit Avatar in your User CP, you can enter a URL of the image, or if you have the image on your computer, you can upload the image you want to use. Maximum size for avatars: 100 by 100 pixels and 40KB.
You can't use the Animated Houndoom sprite because it's 49.2 KB and therefore, over the file size limits for avatars here. I assume Gelatini's avatar works because the Vanillite animated sprite is of a smaller KB Size or Site Staff get special avatar priveliges.
The Houndour animated sprite in the sprite resource is within the limits, so you could use that if you're a fan of the Houndour, as well.

If that was so, I would start a freakin' revolution.
You could also simply use a GIF editing program to simply change the actual size of the image, therefore lowering the amount of memory.
Obviously there is no special Animated Privalege for staff. Because I have one.
I honestly wasn't sure if there was, but on certain forums, staff members are allowed larger avatars than regular users. While you may have an animated avatar, it's within the file size limit, I never said the privileges would apply to animated avatars in general, I was referring to a file size allowed for animated avatars.
