Can Scizor know Wing Attack AND Metal Claw? - Pokemon Forum

So I've recently caught a scyther, and I plan it on knowing wing attack and also Metal claw. I know it learns both moves at the same level, level 30, but would I be able to trade my scyther which knows wing attack, and when it evolves into scizor, would it be able to learn metal claw since it's still at level 30? Or would I just have to breed to get a scyther which knows both?

Yep, that'll work! As long as it evolves to Scizor some time on level 30 it will learn Metal Claw.

Yes, Once scyther learns Wing Attack. Evolve it and go to one of those move remembering guys and they'll teach Scizor metal claw. If it were up to me though.. I would teach it aerial ace instead of wing attack.

I thought they didn't have any move relearners in generation II?

Well, you can beat the Elite Four in Stadium 2 and gain, as a present, move relearning.
That's how my Ho-oh from Silver version got Sacred Fire.

Well, yeah, but that's kind of tedious and isn't really a move relearner so much as it an annoying-to-get gift. Plus if instead of properly playing your PS2 crashes and deletes your inserted games instead *cough* mine, it really isn't a good option.
