Post Black and White Mechanics: HM Slaves

Are you tired of making the powerful Pokemon on your team learn HM moves when they learn better moves? Well, don't teach them any HM moves and teach those HM moves to HM Slaves! What are HM Slaves? HM Slaves are Poke

Default Re: Black and White Mechanics: HM Slaves

Interesting stuff. When I first heard of the concept of HM Slave, I was quite relieved because I have the knowledge that I can use a Pokémon just for HMs. This knowledge also means that I am considering downsizing the team just so that the HM slave can take up a slot without going back to the PC, which I think should also be pointed out because it's convenient.

One thing I found funny is how Empoleon can learn SEVEN HMs, which makes the penguin a pretty good HM slave, but I am sure players will never want to abuse a starter Pokémon.

Another thing is that I heard people say that in Pokémon Black and White, HMs aren't as necessary as much as it is a convenience, because only a handful of them is required to complete the quest, which is pretty good, because that means there is not a need to carry a lot of HM moves, although it's nice to have them as filler to get with the quest easily.

Thanks for reading.
