^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Everyone has different tastes of music (ofc), but Dark Moonlight is right. Music > Fame.
Heck there are a lot of under appreciated artists I like, but I don't see how fame/money comes into the argument when it comes to how good the music is.

also hard work > posting vids on youtube and becoming famous randomly.

I think Justin Bieber is talented, I just don't really like his music. It's oaky, just not the greatest thing ever.

But the thing is, I actually kinda feel sorry for the guy. I mean, somehow I doubt a sixteen-year-old guy wants to look like that and sing like that. :P

That's just your opinion. You can't prove he is more horrible than ______. Many more people have the opinion that his music is better than _______. More people > less people.

However, if what you say about your solo singer is true, congratulations to her! She has achieved a higher level than Justin Bieber. However, Justin Bieber still remains a competitor against others.

I don't know if he can do those things you mentioned, but most of his fans don't care if he can or can't. They don't care if he works hard or not, they just love his music and him. I'm sorry your group is not that loved.

I was also making a point about you hinting that he's a better person than all of us because he's richer and more successful.

and ofc this girl is more popular than Beiber. It's BoA for peeps sakes. :l
also there is Ayumi Hamasaki who has over 52 singles.

and I don't care if my favourite group is loved or not. All I care about is their health and happiness and that they continue to make music before their military service.

edit: Ayumi Hamasaki and BoA alone are pretty much worshipped for their talent in Japan and Korea (BoA has fans from literally everywhere, especially Korea and Japan). I'm sure Beiber can't live up to their level of fame. Does that make them better than anyone? No.

Are people SERIOUSLY arguing about this? I don't understand why you all aren't saying how sorry you feel for him. His mind has been corrupted and to be honest, he's ****ed for life.

This is a point I've wanted to put across about this pop vs rock debate for ages.

Is it not possible to like both types of music? I admit, I'm not particularly partial to heavy metal, but my friend listens to it, and whenever his mum is dropping me home from school, he usually listens to it in the car. I sometimes like what is played, sometimes don't - I wouldn't have it on my iPod, but if it came on on the radio, I wouldn't switch over. Same with Justin Bieber, I'm not a huge fan of his and I don't understand the Bieber Fever hype. But, if his music came on, I'd listen to it, and I might put it on my iPod, but that's because I prefer pop music over heavy metal (maybe because I'm more of a performer myself, and prefer stuff I can sing along to).

There are several hundred thousand metal songs with vocals sung cleanly, with heart-aching beauty. :P Trust me, you can sing along to metal.

I had to agree with what one of my teachers at school who'd commented about Justin Bieber . " His lyrics are actually pretty good if you really listen, the music alone is also great, his voice sounds good, and he is clean-cut. Singing is what he'd love doing since he was young, and so he put him out there in the economic world for a manager to take notice. He took chances to get himself noticed." And this teacher I have is an old Chinese guy! He also says singing was Jusitin Biebers talent.
So I'd say now his music is making people enjoying it.

I'm not a fan of Justin Bieber fan mind you (I just find him somewhat annoying, maybe I'm a tiny bit jealous).
Oh yeah, my mother who's in her forties likes listening to his music... I feel kinda odd about that!

lol some people are just jealous. Are you really saying if you were in the same position you wouldn't be acting the same way? If it's working keep doing it.

I'm waiting for him to be caught getting wasted on drugs and alcohol. Kid pop stars seem to always end up eff'd up. His songs also seem to be highly generic, but I'm no music expert so I can't really comment on it except my uncultured feel. I also dislike his voice, I dunno why.
