Default Need help making a team

I've had this problem ever since playing Red and Blue, is making a proper team. I just dont know who to put in xD.

I already got all 16 badges. But I'm gonna shove Typlosion lvl 75 into the Deposit box now.

I was gonna face the Elite four Redux, and holy hell... their levels way exceed mine.

I think I put too much attention into my starter pokemon. Well, this is my current team, I was hoping someone could help me accumulate which ones I should catch and use, to defeat the elite four redux.

So I have right now,

Gardevoir lvl 58 (Modest)
Shadow Ball
Magical Leaf
Focus Blast

Larvitar (Brave) Lvl 26 (Gonna train this into a Tyranitar) Hope to get better moves too
Rock Slide

Ampharos (Mild) Lvl 58
Signal Beam

Lapras (Quirky) Lvl 58
Hydro Pump
Ice Beam
Body Slam

I'm not sure of whether to add Steelix (Sassy) or a MisMagius (Modest) or Gengar (Timid).
Or any other pokemon someone could suggest to me thanks!

Hey, I would recommend the following changes to your current team in order to kill the elite four:

add Thunderbolt for Focus Blast. You don't want a 5 pp move with 70 accuracy that barely hits any pokemon effective (except Weavile). U can get thunderbolt for 10.000 voltorb flip points.
Expert Belt is nice I think since you use 4 different types!

EARTHQUAKE for sandstorm
CRUNCH for trash
(stealth rock/superpower) for screech
soft sand/muscle band

ROCK GEM for thunderpunch
THUNDER WAVE (YES) for Discharge
signal beam is excellent. Leftovers?

And for your team in general:
ADD AT LEAST ONE POKEMON THAT IS IMMUNE TO EARTHQUAKE ! Also you only have one pokemon with Earthquake...
How about a strong and fast Salamence... His Earthquake kills Bronzong right away (Heatproof sucker) and also swipes the entire Poison trainer. He also comes in very handy when battling Lance and his Dragons. You can't leave all that up to Lapras' Ice Beam ^^. Don't forget about Intimidate, which can be used multiple times by simply switching in and out.

LumMence (Intimidate)
Adamant@Lum Berry
252 Attack / 252 Speed / 6 HP
Dragon Dance
Fly is recommended since u are battling the Elite Four and they have low AI (compared to Battle Tower) and don't abuse the free turn... Good luck to you, hope this helps!

Thanks bud! Im gonna Start a new game, and will follow it!

I'm also gonna seek a larvitar and make it a Tyranitar with those stats.

Will give Ampharos those movesets and give it leftovers.

Gonna catch a bagon, and have a Salamence, and EV it to those stats.

So here is my Setup I've planned out for the Elite Four and Redux and Red.

- Thunderbolt
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
Expert Belt

- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stealth Rock
- Substitute or Thunderpunch
Soft Sand or Muscle Band Item

- Rock Gem
- Thunder Wave
- Signal Beam
- Discharge maybe?

- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fly
Shell Bell(E4 First Time) Then Muscle Band (Once Unlocked Battle Tower)

- Leech Seed
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Sleep Powder maybe?
Black Sludge

- Dark Pulse
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Will-o-Wisp
Black Glasses
