I agree and dissagree with Silver. Less guests with, hopefully more not noob members on would be like hevan online, but with the member only thing it would be like 'no guests, joined members only'. I wouldn't have been able to look around at all, thus I wouldn't have liked it.

Maybe if there was something totally cooly awesome here that gets half of the people (No noobs) to ome back, including mods. I mean, half of the art mobs are inactive, and Rm is trying to become active once again.

It's a good idea in theory, but I've found many times, while Googling around for a certain thing, it has been found on a certain forum. I get really annoyed when that forum demands register to view threads.

Only to find that it isn't what you're looking for, anyway (that or the post itself has been deleted).

I know that wouldn't happen so much with a Pokemon forum, but it's still extremely annoying.

Oh, and can we change this "30 seconds between searches" thing, perchance? Granted, I'm not exactly sure why it's there in the first place, but I do know it's awfully annoying to type in a search, get no results, then follow it up with an alternate term to double-check and be faced with twenty or so more seconds of waiting.

Also, I have absolutely no idea what the sign-up to view thing would do to help the forum; if anything, it'd dissuade guests, who can't check out what we have to offer without signing up, from coming here at all.

Searches slow the server down. Each individual query has to be compared against every thread to make sure it matches that condition. It's a safeguard against automated attacks.
